You can smell everything being made from their little kitchen, and it feels genuinely homemade in a way most coffee shops don't anymore. Their molasses cookies are somehow available year-round and I'm not exaggerating when I say if they're sold out, my day takes a turn. The quiche Lorraine is also legitimately excellent with a buttery crust, and they usually have a surprisingly good variety of gluten-free baked goods too. One thing I oddly appreciate: no music and no giant café chaos. Also no plugs, so this isn't the place to camp for 6 hours on a laptop. But if I need a quiet spot to answer emails or get 1-1.5 hours of work done without distraction, this is actually one of my favorite places to go.

LOCATION: If you know where Amaru Confections was, this is that building. A European auto repair shop bought the building and divided it so the auto shop is on one side and Amanda's on the other. She does the cooking in a kitchen created in a kiosk in the back, a site that used to be a drive through coffee place. Genius. SEATING: Our options so far have been to go, but Amanda's husband built a great deck outside the front of the store and there is seating there, some or maybe all of it with umbrellas for sun protection. A small storefront, so no seating inside. LOO: There is one. So you know when you're wondering if you should have that second cup. ACCESSIBILITY: Level in from sidewalk into shop, ample floor space, loo has accessible signage (although I've never tried it), path of travel to deck space is accessible. No accessible street parking in the area so that is a challenge. There is one ADA compliant spot in the lot behind the building that is the mechanic garage's but is usable. Inside is very spacious but I thought the seats were not that spread out. Workers were nice at the time of my visit. Very casual place, good place for doing homework or even working remotely. You hit up those other coffee shops or stay within your area for convenience. You forget the root of what started your love for coffee. I have yet to have coffee at this location but with that logo on their store front, you know you're going to get a great cup of coffee. This venue is big. I love the outside patio with the awning. Inside is cozy with the fireplace going. Plenty of seating for coffee and conversations. Comfy chairs by the fireplace. I adore all the local pictures of Downtown Boise. I appreciate that they have a convenient syrup list available so you don't have to ask the barista what kind of options you have.
