I tried another drink off the Finter (seasonal) menu the Juniper Latte and it was delicious and reminded me of my favorite gin!!! The baristas are always amazing. But don't be fooled with the modern concept and layout, they are roasting their own coffee and you can taste the difference! Whenever there's an espresso tonic on the menu I order it. I wonder how many times I've said that in a review? I digress...They actually had seasonal flavors, though I just wanted the regular. It was delicious and on par to the high coffee standards I have coming from Denver! They have a pastry case, large drink menu, unique items for sale, packaged beans, merch, etc. Tables are standard, many four tops open, though we loved sitting at the community table to work. Keys for the bathroom are located at the front counter! No complaints, would totally come here again. Hardy Coffee has my stamp of approval!

I love a good local coffee shop and Village Grinder was one such place!…read more It is so cute and cozy inside, with an adorable little seating area, delicious coffee smells all throughout the shop, and all the little touches like wooden signs welcoming you in. And for the shopper, they have lots of small decor, gifts, and actual coffee beans for sale. But the star of the show is the coffee drinks themselves! I had the pumpkin spice latte (it was Autumn, so I am allowed!), and it was creamy, had a good spice to it, and smooth. I would definitely get that again. But I look forward to trying more flavors soon! Village Grinder is a cute little cafe to stop by while you're in Countryside Village. Always nice to grab a coffee or treat while you shop - and it's great that you can even shop inside Village Grinder too!

What was so sad was the rave reviews, and stellar experiences listed had my expectations through the roof! The matcha tasted like close to nothing, more like a sweet milk. I recently visited Zen Coffee Company for the first time. Since I've been avoiding caffeine lately,…read moreI was hoping for a good selection of herbal teas. They only offered one herbal option (lavender mint) but unfortunately I could only taste the mint and didn't notice any lavender. They did have other caffeine-free drinks available, but I was looking for something unsweetened and low in sugar. The space was also different than I expected. Based on the name, I imagined a cozy, relaxing atmosphere with comfortable lounge seating. Instead, the décor felt a bit mismatched, almost like the café had expanded over time and the two sides were decorated very differently. That said, one thing they absolutely got right was the amount of seating. There were plenty of tables and space to work, study, or catch up with a friend without feeling crowded. The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The bathroom didn't feel clean, there were stains on the floors, chipped paint and damaged walls, crumbs around the couches and on some of the chairs, and the dish return bins were noticeably dirty inside. I stayed for about 90 minutes, and during that time I didn't see any cleaning happening, even though there were several areas that clearly needed attention. None of these issues alone would have been a dealbreaker, but together they made the café feel neglected and took away from what otherwise could have been a much more enjoyable experience.
