Can't believe I've actually never set foot inside the faculty club over all these years! Finally got an opportunity to check it out recently. There are multiple levels in the building, and there is signage at the front indicating different events going on for that day. The staff members are all extremely friendly, though I had some misunderstanding given linguistic barriers (e.g., I had a bit food left on my plate, the staff member asked if I was done, I said I'm still working on it, and they took my plate away anyway.) The food I had here was standard passed hors d'oeuvres. Nothing too special, I did like the mashed eggplant and pita bread a lot! The bathroom is pretty clean, with paper towels available.

Spectacular venue next to the venerable Harvard Yard in the midst of this epic institution. Class and quiet New England dignity abound in the place amidst the mahogany paneling and the thick velvet curtains. Exquisite service and outstanding food. We started with appetizers courtesy of the house, followed by a Roquefort Cheese and fruit plate and as the piece de resistance, halibut with a vegetable melange. An exquisite dinner. One of the features of the Club is a no tipping policy, a remnant of the old New England dinner club ethos, which makes it even better...

I came here for a graduation event last night. All graduating members from all of the Harvard schools (both undergraduate and graduate) were invited. The space inside is large and beautiful, with multiple function rooms and an outdoor patio with tables and chairs. The event had two full-service bars with beer, wine, and hard alcohol (I was impressed that they had whiskeys like Johnny Walker Black and Jack Daniels) and a cold appetizer station with mozzarella balls, salami and prosciutto, grilled eggplant, zucchini, and asparagus, and crunchy bread. There were servers passing around hot hors d'oeuvres like crab cakes, lamb chops, and beef puff pastries. The food was quite good and it was an impressive event to put on, especially since the event was free and packed with hundreds of people. I took off one star for the service - we were sitting outside on the patio and the servers ignored our group several times and offered hors d'oeuvres to the groups sitting around us, and didn't come back around. I've heard that their Sunday brunch is excellent and will probably come to try their lunch buffet before I graduate.

Had the pleasure of dining here on Wednesday evening for dinner. Enjoyed a nice reception with wine & h'ordeuvres before dinner. Dinner consisted of salad, salmon as the entree and a nice dessert. Fun place to spend an evening with classmates.

Apparently you're supposed to be a member to come here but if they are having a slow service they will let members of the community come in as guests to eat. I came here with a party of 4 for their Sunday brunch buffet. It was simply fantastic. They had a spread I could only compare to a Vegas buffet at one of the nice hotels in terms of offerings and quality. The attitude here is pure Harvard though, be sure to be wearing your Sunday's best (no jeans or t-shirts). Some of the notable brunch items included: Belgium Waffles w/ fresh fruit, whipped cream, and syrup Bacon Home fries Hungarian Veal Goulash California Rolls Seared Tuna Shrimp Assorted pastries Mushroom Spinach Cream Sauce Crepes Omelet Station Lobster bisque Salmon Artisan Cheese Vegetarian Dumplings A table of about a dozen different mini desserts Banana Bread Pudding w/ fresh butterscotch All you can eat for $38 plus a free mimosa or bloody mary isn't a bad deal. Come here, take your time, relax and enjoy.

Harvard Faculty Club is an elegant place to dine & stay. Located across Lamont Library (East of Harvard Yard), it is housed in a lovely three story building. On the first floor is their dining facility (restaurant) & reading room, second floor has private dining rooms and third floor has overnight rooms. Since I was a graduate student at Harvard, I didn't need to be a paying member as all current students are considered free members of this facility. Even if you're not a member and just visiting Cambridge, call them to see if they will allow you to dine. They are very accommodating. Sunday brunch is to die for; the quality of food and service is quite exquisite. The ambience is upper crust. You dine as a piano plays in the hall.

Great food and atmosphere. We had a large group and they handled it well. Food is good (we had fish). They really cater to you and want to take care of everyone. If you can get in (members only) it is a great place.

Lunch buffet is a great value. I've attended a number of events with professors here and the food is really top notch even though there aren't any formal servers. They had all kinds of cuisines offered including a lot of desserts, cheese and crackers offerings. The whole building has a lot of history inside with paintings of past figures and a nice classy atmosphere. I would definitely suggest taking a trip sometime to experience the history! Also, they do a wonderful job hosting small events. Particularly for firms who are interested in meeting students.

Well maintained, classy, medium sized venue right on Harvard campus. I had a chance to visit Harvard Faculty Club to photograph a wedding. Food here was great - which I believe was prepared and served by HFC's own catering staffs? There are several rooms upstairs for couples and wedding party to get ready in.

A very elegant spot to dine in, with beautiful and classy decor. I came here for a pre-graduation event in June. We dined in the Conservatory Room; it was a unique blend of casual and elegant. I loved the gold-lined plates (which are actually just for decoration; they take them away when they bring out your food). The succulents are so cool; they really fit with the ambience of the Conservatory Room. One of the things that really stood out to me was the drinks. I normally dislike martinis and never order them, but the one at HFC was amazing. The olives were huge and the whole martini was just well-balanced and well-made. For appetizers, we shared the seafood ceviche and local oysters (both great!) For the entree, I had the grilled black angus NY strip. Beautiful presentation and overall, just a great steak. I wouldn't say that it's the best steak I've ever had, but I would definitely rank it in the top 5 of all time. Looking forward to being back soon!

Certainly a beautiful and upscale place (in my case, for a reception that I went to), and right in the Yard.

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

At the Morrison House, I stayed at the Little Room - it was very cozy and cute, perfect size for a young girl like myself. The bed was nice and I slept very well. It was also nice to have a heating system that I can adjust perfectly. I shared a bathroom with the guests in the Davis Room, which was no problem because I shower at night and no one else did. The bathroom was kept very clean and, also very cute. I also liked how the guests have chance to meet each other when they all come down for breakfast between 8-9 am. It's a space with simple elegance and a rustic charm. This is a real boat club with members who join because they love sailing. The annual Head of the Charles and other regattas are big deals here. But it's good news that the space can be rented out for weddings and other events because it's really pretty cool. The bride and groom of the wedding we attended are both avid sailors and so this place has special meaning to them. I love that there is both indoor and outdoor space here so if you luck out and have good weather, your guests can go out to the expansive deck or down to the water's edge. We had a sunny, perfect late afternoon and so guests wandered freely in and out. You can hire whatever caterer and bar service that you would like which I think is a terrific option when hosting any kind of party. It's a great way to control the quality of the food and not be locked into anything you're not 100% sure of. I'm also told you can't charge for alcohol at this site and must have an open bar; to that I say: "Amen". I am not a believer in hosting guests at a wedding where there is a cash bar. You wouldn't charge people for drinks if you invited them to your home so it's never made sense to me to do it a wedding. So for events held here, it's not a debate: it's an open bar although of course you choose what to serve. There was plenty of room for both dining and dancing in two separate but totally adjacent inside areas. One side was the dining area and the other was for the cocktail hour and mingling, later for the live band and dancing. Although the Boat Club can be a bit tricky to find event though it's a Cambridge address, it is well worth considering if you're planning a wedding especially if you want a place that is unique.
