    The Birthday Girl!
    Shannon S.

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. Rich and his crew went above and beyond in helping us get just what we needed. We contacted Rich at the last minute, despite this he was right on top of it. He eased our worries regarding disinfection during this difficult time. Because of them my daughter had a birthday to remember! Thank you total entertainment I commend you on a job well done! We will certainly see you again!

Be wary of late arrivals, over charging, and lack of communication. I would NOT recommend them ever again.

Working with Taylor and Missy at The Event Company made the tent and other rental details a breeze. They understood how important this event was to us and were extremely responsive and accommodating. After scoping out the yard with Taylor I was completely at ease that he understood what we needed. Missy was awesome, with a quick an accurate quote, answering my many questions, and updating the numbers and sizes of tables as we approached the big day. She was even able to accommodate a last minute request for some additional tables to be delivered the day of the wedding! The set up was smooth. Taylor was happy to shift the tent to my exact location and placed stakes in my preferred spots. When setting up the lights, Trevor was fine with moving them around to suit my needs. The guys that came to break everything down we're quick, quiet, and did so with no impact to my lawn, even after the rainstorm the day before. Our guests all commented how great the tent and lightning was. Thank you all for helping us create "the perfect wedding", according to our daughter!

We used Marblehead Tent (dba North Shore Events) for our wedding chairs recently and the…read moredelivery/pickup service was absolutely terrible--both unprofessional and disrespectful. Our ceremony location was a walk from the parking lot, which was planned for beforehand with the company and led to an upcharge. We also paid 50% extra for same-day pickup, yet when the delivery person dropped off the chairs, he told us he refused to come back today and instead would return tomorrow to pick them up. Since our ceremony was at a state park, leaving property overnight is not permissible and could lead to a citation/penalty. After multiple pleas to get him to return to pickup the chairs, he threatened that he wouldn't return unless I and members of my group moved the 60 chairs from the ceremony location to the parking lot. This all occurred while we were preparing to start our reception. So, he wanted the groom and his family/friends to carry these chairs to the parking lot before the reception, despite having paid extra for this very service. When reaching out to the company about how poor the service was, not to mention how unprofessionally he spoke to our coordinator, they made an excuse about the time a gate closed (though our invoice clearly states the pickup time) and said the chairs were eventually picked up overnight, then refused to respond to another email. Don't risk having to deal with this on your wedding day. Avoid this company.

This company charged us an additional fee of $250 for delivery and collection of the chairs, $60 for labor to set up the chairs, and an additional $300 for the 400 meter distance from the staff parking lot to the drop off location. These payments were made and paid in full 7 days prior to the event. Do not use this company if you want to get the service you paid for. The delivery service (Kosmo Hayes who also is the president of the company) argued with me (the bride) and my wedding coordinator when they had to deliver the chairs the 400meter distance, at 12pm. They then went on to say at 1:30pm that they wont be back to pickup the chairs, and that my husband and his wedding party should PICK UP THE CHAIRS AND DELIVER THEM TO THE GATE!!! Obviously that's was not going to happen since we paid the invoice (including delivery/collection/labor/distance) in full 7 days prior and the invoice clearly stated the delivery and collection terms. However, when we reported this terrible experience to the company manager Nicole Hayes, she yelled at me over the phone and hung up on me! If you are planning your own rental from this company be aware that they have no respect for the services they provide and they will ask you (or your event guests) to perform the services that they were already paid for.

This is…read morean entirely new game that nobody outside of this area has even heard of let alone played. I was invited by some friends as a sub for league night not knowing what I was getting into. I was so nervous that I wouldn't get the hang of it, and I really didn't do great, but for my first time I broke 54 twice hahaha. The ladies I played with had an absolute blast and were encouraging which helped. I tried to emulate some of the clearly skilled players but it's a challenge to get used to those little balls! I'm used to playing "big ball" as everyone kept calling it. Anyhow, the game is candlepin. For those who don't know - they are basically straight sticks that are laid out in the same pattern as big ball bowling. You use a ball the size of a bocce ball (larger than a softball) that is pretty light with no holes. You get 3 chances to clear all 10 pins. There is some sort of skill involved that I couldn't quite comprehend. I saw everything from releasing the ball low to the ground right at the entrance of the lane, to people releasing in the air halfway down all having similar success. I witnessed curvature of throws and straight down the line all having success. I'm guessing it's more of a luck thing than a skill thing given I learned nobody at that alley in however many years of history has broken 250 score. I showed up hungry in the hope there was a cafe, but there was no food and I'm unclear on the drinks situation. People had them but I didn't see how they were acquired. Note to self - eat before you go or bring snacks! The gentlemen behind the counter were a HOOT! I rented shoes and they gave me the rundown of not only my team but how the game works. They were ribbing people over the mic which was so fun. This place has been around for a long time and the regulars are embedded into the history. The parking situation is pretty great. There is a lot adjacent to the building with lots of space, and an overflow lot across the street. All in all this is a great alley with character and I'm super excited to go back and practice.
