Without a Hitch made our wedding day such a beautiful success! Our wedding planning was plagued with constantly changing COVID regulations and I was full of anxiety about how our big day would go. Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. We worked with Tracey Sharp Rezendes, and she was a phenomenal powerhouse. There was no way that our very DIY wedding would have gone smoothly without her making sure all the many moving parts came together seamlessly. Tracey was the day of coordinator for our backyard wedding last month, and we're so glad we decided to work with her and Without a Hitch! She was our most responsive vendor, often replying to our emails leading up to the wedding within minutes. Before our wedding day, she put together a detailed timeline for us, answered random questions that came up, and did a site visit. Of note - they do stick with the contract pretty closely, so it will cost extra to have more meetings/support (which makes sense). On the day of, Tracey took care of everything - organizing all the vendors, pinning my bustle when nobody else could figure it out, making sure we stayed on track, and problem solving on the fly. My husband and I hired Without a Hitch for our fall wedding at the Whittemore Robbins House. After hearing about the benefits of having a day of wedding coordinator from several newly married friends, we decided that we wanted to make our day as stress-free as possible. We found Without A Hitch on Instagram and noticed they had a HUGE following in the Boston area and had even coordinated weddings at our venue! After speaking with Sarah, we were sure that Without a Hitch would help us feel much more in control of our day. We were able to meet with Sarah and Jess in person, and they provided us with a super detailed timeline of our wedding and numerous practical tips for choosing vendors and general logistics. This meeting made us feel good to know that someone would be available for guidance over the next few months. We appreciated how Jess and Sarah regularly checked in to see how the planning was going and provided us with vendor recommendations (flowers, desserts, table template) when we needed some suggestions. Our process started by meeting with founder Sarah and were ultimately assigned Allison as our coordinator, and we were very pleased with both. We got married at Olio (the Peabody venue that Sarah separately owns), so when we met her for our tour there, it was a no-brainer to choose Sarah as our coordinator -- she was organized, responsive, warm, and genuinely excited to help us execute our vision for our special day. From the day that we hired her, Sarah sent us recommendations for different vendors and checked in with us through the planning process. She was always available to answer the miscellaneous questions we had as we planned the event. As the day got closer, Sarah worked with us to gather the details and create a timeline of the day. She sent us tasks each week to check off, which helped make things more bite-sized and manageable rather than overwhelming. My partner and I got engaged in July and decided to get married some time the following summer--I switched jobs, the holidays came and suddenly it was February and we had almost nothing planned beyond a date and a tentative venue. We contacted Sarah in the hopes she might have hope and guidance for us--and boy did she and her team come through. Our first meeting with Sarah and Mandy was invaluable--we went in knowing almost nothing and left with a check-list and action plan for the months ahead. I was on the fence with hiring a day of coordinator but decided last minute to go for it as we didn't have a wedding planner, and I wanted to ensure the day went smoothly. After talking with Sarah of Without A Hitch on the phone, about 2 weeks before our wedding, I KNEW she would be a perfect fit. Such a blessing to have been introduced to Sarah's services! She came highly recommended by my caterer who worked with her a week before. Sarah is big picture and small picture at the same time. Right away she asked me all the right questions and went above and beyond the expectations I had. A couple times she surprised me with offering to take on more than I even asked her to. We first met in person the night before our wedding day, about an hour before our rehearsal, which Sarah led. Hiring Without a Hitch was the best decision my wife and I made when planning our wedding. We had heard from our friends that hiring a wedding coordinator was a must, but weren't 100% convinced. In the end, I'm so so glad we did. I work full time and my wife is a medical student, and while we are both very organized, we got married during the school year when neither of us could take time off. I knew we had to go with Without a Hitch from the first phone call when they asked if we had a noise permit for our backyard wedding - something I never would have thought of on my own. It was invaluable to have Rebecca's help in the months leading up to our wedding to bounce ideas off of, help us find vendors, and develop our timeline. We also designed our entire ceremony ourselves with my brother-in-law as our officiant and would have been completely lost without Rebecca's help. However, as great as Rebecca was leading up to the wedding, she was even better in person. Having an off-site ceremony, a hotel room block, transportation, etc called for a day-of-coordinator. We were referred to Without A Hitch from a competitor - and we are so glad we hired them. If something goes wrong or falls behind - you AND your parents shouldn't be the ones to deal with it - the coordinator will already be on top of it with their experience and professionalism. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, I worked with and updated a massive timeline that Michelle & Sarah helped us design. So as time went on and things changed, we made updates. Now I have to also highlight the incredible pivoting these two women did during our wedding weekend. Due to an unfortunate emergency - Michelle could not make it to our rehearsal last-minute and Sarah quickly jumped in and made it to our rehearsal [before me!] and lead the rehearsal and passed the notes onto Michelle that night, who showed up the next morning completely filled-in and ready to go. As a bride this was at first a bit stressful, but all that mattered was the way they handled an unexpected and uncontrollable incident. Things happen and I couldn't have been more thankful we went with them vs someone else! Michelle was an absolute ray of sunshine in the months leading up to our big day and on the day of course. Couples can often end up in "decision fatigue" after planning such an important event for a year or more, that it helps to have someone experienced help you make big decisions. I am very 'type A'/planner type, so I knew I did not need a full blown wedding planner, but all my friends said I should still have a 'DoC', and they were right! I worked with Allison from the Without A Hitch team and she was amazing. The year leading up to the wedding she helped me build a timeline, provided advice when asked, and most importantly was there for us throughout the big day. She was so responsive throughout the year which I really appreciated. The DoC position was important as she was the only person besides me and my now husband who really knew the full plan end to end for the day, including all vendors involved. Jessica and Sarah were a critical part of making our wedding a flawless event and we could not recommend them more. I can't say enough about Jessica's calm presence on our wedding day- I couldn't have been more thankful to "hand the reigns" to her to manage all our vendors. Our venue had someone to unlock the doors and turn on the lights, but other than that we were DIY and Jessica really oversaw a flawless day. We would not have been able to enjoy our wedding if we didn't hire Without A Hitch. While they are not wedding planners, they were instrumental in helping us plan and organize our event. From our first meeting with them 5 months before our wedding to our rehearsal the day before, Jessica and Sarah were incredibly helpful in helping us create the minute-by-minute-run-of-show for our wedding day and asking us the questions that help frame our to-do list. One thing to note- their typical contract is 8 hours long. If you want them onsite before to help oversee set-up and to stay later to oversee clean up, it will be extra. They provided us with the right questions to ask of our vendors and gave us instructions on how to make sure clean up goes flawlessly without them there. Without a Hitch was fantastic! We worked with Sarah and Jessica leading up to our wedding, and they were responsive, wise, and fun the whole way. Our venue was completely DIY and had no staff, so Sarah and Jessica provided us with a VERY detailed and comprehensive to-do checklist. They checked in periodically to make sure we were on track - they were so encouraging but also shot us straight and told us how and what to prioritize. The were professional, but also gave us insider tips about how to work around certain logistics. Not once did they say "no" to any of our ideas - they just explained why certain things would be difficult, and always provided alternative ways to execute them. We've never thrown am event like this before and they gave us SO many pro tips - many, without which, we'd have been totally screwed! Jessica was with us day-of and was excellent. She seamlessly stepped into the scene and ran the timeline and flow, which was not easy since we had to corral our guests to 3 different spots on the venue property throughout the night. She paced the ceremony and was the point-person with all of our day-of vendors and guests. Everything went so smoothly (I literally didn't lift a finger the day- f). We had one scafu with our bartenders, and Jessica took care of it so quickly that we were barely aware. Special thanks to Jessica for keeping tabs on our less mobile guests to make sure that they were comfortable and taken care of - and for easing us into cocktail hour at a point where there wasn't a line for the bar (so we weren't mobbed). Everything was fantastic! The planning sessions ahead of time kept us organized, and they were incredibly friendly. They were always positive, fun, but also pragmatic. They were willing to execute on whatever plan we wanted and had plenty of recommendations to make sure all our plans ran smoothly. They had worked with some of our vendors and our location, which made planning remotely easier -- they could run the show during the final planning meeting! We got to spend the whole time talking with guests and enjoying the day. Kait and Elaina handled all the random things that came up perfectly and had great communication with us. I really felt like they listened and were absolutely ready to roll with all our crazy gambles in terms of the ceremony and all the moving parts. We really appreciated that they asked us about the important calls and made a bunch of calls on the small stuff for us. They had back up plans for the back up plans! Without a Hitch made our daughter's wedding day a total success. From the initial conversation with Sarah, our meeting with Sarah and Alisha, the rehearsal on Friday to the end of the wedding... and I mean the end... there was not one thing that was overlooked. Without a Hitch is definitely a business to stay away from. They do not treat their customers with respect and compassion. The individual planners are fine, and we received some helpful service namely building an initial timeline at first. But the business manager Sarah, was difficult and argumentative from the start. It started with them threatening to charge us extra for an initial meeting that was in our area since we could not drive out to their location, despite advertising that they served the Boston area. Sarah feel back on the contract in that case and we acquiesced since it was stated in the contract, although easily overlooked as it was never mentioned. We ended up being lucky that they had an appointment near us and we took advantage of that, although we should have recognized at that point this is not a customer friendly business. Then the pandemic hit and our wedding originally planned for July of 2020 had to be postponed. We set a tentative date in 2021, all our vendors agreed. Without a Hitch reluctantly agreed, trying to get us to still pay them thousands of dollars for a small backyard wedding. We had a small backyard ceremony in 2020 but still wanted a wedding ceremony when the pandemic was over. We did not use, we did not need Without a hitch for the small backyard ceremony. As 2021 came the summer date in 2021 was still in question. The date in the summer is the only time of year we can have all our family available. The pandemic was still a problem and new variants were rising and there were problems with vaccine distribution initially. It was too much of a risk so we again postponed the wedding party to 2022. All our vendors agreed readily except Without a Hitch. They said we would have to pay them as if we were starting a new contract, only caring over 20% of our down payment which was half the total cost in 2020. And the increase in fees would completely eat up that 20%. None of the other options were viable options for us and we told them this. We could not move to a later date in 2021, and we told them this spring of our final decision. They claimed that they turned away business for us, yet could not cite a single case of this happening. And the fact that the original date was 2020 means that they were not turning away anyone. They claim to have helped people with smaller covid friendly events but to claim that we should have spent almost $5,000 for a small backyard ceremony is outrageous. They continually acted without good faith, ignored the facts of the situation and showed no willingness to act in our best interest and "lawyered" up with each interaction sticking to the letter of the contract despite the realities of the world still in the midst of a pandemic. read more

We hired Without a Hitch in the last couple months before our wedding and were so grateful for their careful coordination of our vendors and all the details on the day of. Sarah and Jessica F. ensured that our timeline was rock solid and then delivered an impossibly beautiful day for both us and our guests (not sure they can be credited with changing the weather but the clouds literally parted!). Jessica checked in with us regularly to ensure we had thought of everything and planning was moving along smoothly. We had Jessica do her walk through for our rehearsal so we could practice the ceremony processional and recessional, and she did a fantastic job wrangling our family and friends to get them ready for the big day. Once the ceremony got started, we didn't have to worry about a thing beyond being present and enjoying the ride, which is the best testament to how well Jessica kept things on track. Wow. We worked with Sarah for the last few months of our wedding planning, and she is absolutely stellar. My husband and I were living in Denver, in the process of moving to Seattle, and planning a wedding in Maine and were feeling very overwhelmed.
