Planned our event with less than two weeks' lead time, while we were all busy and distracted with houseguests and other commitments. A friend recommended getting a Day of Event coordinator and SO glad we did. There's just no way it would have happened at all without Sarah from Without a Hitch. We breezed on in to our own event and she had everything perfectly set up and arranged, well before start time. Our event involved a lot of decorations and displays and we still have no idea how she singlehandedly managed to transport it all there and get everything in place and looking lovely, while also making sure the venue staff set the whole room and food service up as we wanted it. She had us specify everything and defined what she needed from us to make it happen. She came in advance to pack it all up and be sure she was clear on what we wanted, and brought everything to the venue for us. Sarah was professional, unassumingly friendly and hospitable to all our guests, and we got lots of positive comments. She staffed the welcome table leaving us completely free to mingle and enjoy, and made sure everyone got a nametag (and was actually on the guest list) When the time was up and venue staff began clearing the food tables, Sarah unobtrusively packed up our materials without disturbing guests who were still chatting and let us enjoy to the very last possible moment. Then she delivered everything back to our place, so we could go right on with our guests to the next event. Nothing was overlooked, everything was taken care of, she was calm and collected during the event and carried out spontaneous orders like a trooper when we wanted anything changed or addressed. Her positive can-do attitude and encouraging manner made it easy to get our ducks in a row, and made this a very special event free of any fuss or worries. I spoke with several event planning companies before choosing WAH, including those recommended by friends who had lovely weddings. Sarah was recommended by two of the other companies who were not able to handle our event. The only service to get double recommendations from colleagues. I've never used an event planner before and was apprehensive about the cost, but WAH was very clear and responsive to our needs, and very fairly priced in line with the other services I checked. Sarah's services were very well worth it!!! Highly recommend! read more

Hiring Without a Hitch was the best decision ever. Our Events Associate was Jillian, who was absolutely wonderful. Sarah was also an amazing and knowledgable resource throughout the entire process. We got married in October 2021 in Cambridge, MA. This was a rescheduled date. We were originally supposed to get married in July 2020, but didn't... for obvious reasons. So, the pandemic and wanting to make sure that we were celebrating safely and responsibly was nerve-racking. On top of that, we were coordinating our Cambridge wedding from Chicago, which came with its own complications. Without a Hitch was guiding us at every step. In that way, the help they provided went well beyond just the day of. Sarah and Jillian were valuable resources leading up to our wedding. When we had questions (and there were many!!), they provided timely and thorough responses via email, and our phone calls were always incredibly helpful and informative. Jillian did such a great job keeping us on track as we got close to the date and helped us put together a detailed timeline. I was so impressed with how on top of everything Jillian was on the day of. She was so calm and in control. She handled all of the communication with our other (wonderful) vendors and always made sure that we had drinks in our hands. If there were any problems, we didn't know about them! We were also so appreciative to have her help with set up and breakdown. Everything looked absolutely perfect. And at the end of the night, she made sure the right things went home with the right people. We really didn't have to worry about a thing. I considered the pros/cons of hiring a day of coordinator vs. a full on wedding planner. I ultimately decided that I wanted to be involved in the planning and details, but didn't want to be stressed and have to deal with the random stuff that inevitably comes up on a wedding day. I also wanted my friends and family members to be able to enjoy the day without needing to worry about the day of details as well. We got exactly that, and more. We had the best time at our wedding. Planning a wedding was stressful, but it was all worth it when we got to relax and enjoy the day we put a lot of time and effort into. Hiring Without a Hitch made that happen and I highly recommend working with them. Thanks, Jillian and Sarah!! read more

I worked with Sarah, the founder of Without a Hitch, for my wedding at Arlington Town Hall on June 4, 2016. I really can't do justice to how organized, helpful, pleasant, intelligent, positive, and skilled Sarah is with words, but I will try! From the moment my husband and I met with Sarah, we knew we were in amazing hands. She kept us on task with a timeline and was so good about checking in throughout the year to make sure we were on track. Knowing I had her on board for questions or suggestions as I was deep into planning was the hugest help and relief. She always responded promptly when I reached out and thoroughly addressed my questions. She provided great suggestions for aspects of the event that I was struggling with, and was able to work through ideas with me to make sure they would translate well on the day. Working with her prior to the wedding was wonderful enough, but the weekend of the wedding she was incredible! I had to bring in a lot of outside things to decorate and set up the space, and in my mind it all seemed very complicated to pull off. As soon as I showed everything to Sarah she knew exactly what to do and made me feel so relieved that it would all get done with no problems. We walked through the space together and it was immediately clear that she saw my vision and would be able to carry it out much more efficiently and beautifully than I would have been able to! On the day of the wedding she was there on time (before me) to set up, and had everything completely under control. I did not have to worry about anything, and everything went smoothly with her at the helm. She was great working with the other vendors and the wedding party, and was a calming and positive influence on the entire day. If you have any doubts about hiring Sarah/Without a Hitch for your wedding day, put them out of your mind!! She is so good at what she does, and will work hard to make sure your day is perfect and- most importantly- that you do not have to worry. I will also say that her rates are incredibly reasonable for the top notch service that she provides. I know that when I look back on my wedding day in the years to come, I will continue to feel so grateful that I had Sarah playing such an important role in the day. read more

My husband and I have said over and over AND OVER again how glad we were that we decided to go with Without A Hitch for our wedding. Sarah and our day of coordinator, Diana, were there for us from start to finish. Their services go well beyond the day of coordination, it was so wonderful to have their support along the way. Hands down the best money spent of anything we did. They gave us such great guidance and advice, and thought of things we never would have considered on our own. They also pointed us in the right direction and gave us real world advice when we were uncertain of some of the details in planning. They also recommended some key vendors. We chose our florist and caterer (among other vendors) based on recommendations from Sarah and Diana. We were extremely reassured to know that they had the WAH seal of approval, and could not have been more pleased with their service and value. We mainly worked with Diana leading up to and on the big day. From start to finish she was there at every turn making sure everything went smoothly, and responded to all of my questions right away no matter how trivial. There were many times when, in the throes of planning chaos, I turned to the meticulous timeline they curated for us. It was so comforting to be able to go over the fine details and imagine what the day might hold. On the big day, having Diana there truly allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. I honestly have never had more fun! There were many times when we were behind schedule, rushed, and things weren't going exactly according to plan. If you knew me at all, you would know that those kinds of scenarios are totally not my strong suit. However, I never worried for a second, and my enjoyment and peace of mind never faltered for a second, because I knew Diana was there to support us. By the way, it was SO great to roll up to the wedding and have two cold drinks and a tray of appetizers waiting for us. I did not go hungry, that's for sure! I can't recommend Without A Hitch enough, they are simply the best!!! read more

I don't even know where to begin, but Without a Hitch and more specifically Ashley is a must book for your wedding day. We had a large, 200 person, formal wedding in the back and side yard of a private home. We turned the yard into a gorgeous venue, and that would not have been done without the help of Ashley! From the first planning meeting, Ashley and Without a Hitch were on top of the timeline formulation. They made sure to raise points that we had not yet thought about in our planning process-- with recommendations on how we should go about completing those tasks. Ashley was always incredibly available via email, to respond to any updates or questions that came up. the timeline was incredible and so helpful for the day. Not to mention she was so sweet, personable, and easy to talk to. Ashley got to the space early, and set it up to look like a dream. She followed all the directions I had laid out, but also used her judgment in areas that needed tweeking. She was at the church setting up, got on the trolley to give out the bridesmaids bouquets, affixed all the groomsmen and fathers boutonnieres, and even opened the doors before I walked down the aisle. When we got to the reception, she checked in with us to see how we were feeling, and what we needed. Let us into the tent so we could see the space before any guests entered it, got us champagne, got the grooms reception jacket to change into. Seriously above and beyond. She coordinated with all the other vendors during the wedding to make sure we were running on schedule. Any time we left the dance floor Ashley was right there to check in on us and see if there was anything we needed. She stayed until the end of the night and made sure the guests all got on the buss to the after party. I can not recommend them enough, our wedding day would not have been the same or been anywhere nearly as perfect without all their help, planning and attention to detail!! 1000000/10 recommend. read more

We truly cannot thank Sarah and Without a Hitch enough for everything she did for us leading up to and on our wedding day! I often joked with my husband during the planning process that she saved my wedding life on more than one occasion and our wedding day was no exception. From the initial consultation I could tell she would be a great fit for us with her superhuman communication skills, organization, and infectious energy. She would check in on us every month to see how we were doing which was extremely helpful. We ended up moving just before our wedding so we are so grateful we had her there to keep us on track during such a hectic time. Her reassurance meant everything to us during planning, anytime we got bogged down with an element of planning Sarah was there to remind us we were in a great spot and doing just fine. Her expertise was also invaluable to us, I remember being really stressed about our shuttle schedule and Sarah hopped on a call to help make a plan. I left that call feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Fast forward to wedding day, Sarah knew what we needed before we did. She knew our priorities for the day and was there every step of the way guiding us through our timeline. One of our biggest priorities for the day (besides marrying each other) was the food. After our ceremony, Sarah was there to meet us with a plate of cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and our favorite drinks so we wouldn't miss out on the delightful apps we picked out. She even took a few photos of our wedding and decor which we were so grateful for. On the one hand we were delighted that our guests followed instructions for our unplugged ceremony but then we didn't have any pictures until the sneak peek from the photographer was ready! It was truly the most wonderful and special day and we got to enjoy every moment of it thanks to Sarah and Without a Hitch. read more

Working with this company was worth every penny--and considering everything they did, it was a bargain! I wanted a day-of coordinator because our reception space needed a lot of coordination and I did not want to ask family or friends to do that, or do it myself. I wanted to enjoy and remember our wedding. That's exactly what happened. Backing up several months, at an initial meeting with Sarah and our coordinator Diana , we talked through all of the details that needed to still be put in place, and we started putting together a timeline. My fiance and I were shocked at how many things we hadn't thought of. I was never someone who daydreamed about my future wedding or pictured what it would look like, and I had never been a bridesmaid or family member helping out, either. So we really had no clue. I also want to add here that some elements of our wedding were non-traditional--we just skipped or changed traditions that didn't speak to us--and Sarah and Diana were totally fine with that. In between the initial meeting and the wedding, Diana checked in with us over e-mail, helped us update our timeline, and came for a site visit to the reception venue. All of this was extremely helpful. On the day of, we arrived at a beautiful reception, and there was Diana, offering to get us drinks (I have to say, we loved that part!) Things went very smoothly and many of my family members commented on how pleasant and helpful Diana was. That really means a lot to us! We felt good with her from the beginning, so I was happy to trust that she would have everything set up and ready to go. We were not disappointed. By the way, we were on a pretty tight budget for our wedding, but like I said, this was well worth the expense. So if you're not sure whether you want to do this or can afford it, I would say find a way to do it and you won't regret it. The peace of mind was golden. read more

Choosing to work with Without a Hitch was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We contacted Sarah because her prices were so much more reasonable than other planning and coordination services we found. From the first meeting, we knew that it was money well spent! We sat down for two hours and talked through our priorities and what we had done so far, and Sarah gave us tons of useful advice and suggestions for how we could implement our ideas. We had definite opinions about how we wanted things to look, but we had also never planned a wedding before, so we really appreciated her ability to be firm about her recommendations without ever being pushy or steamrolling us. We also loved our day-of coordinator, Diana, who was the same way -- she helped us figure out how we should set everything up at our venue, from the appetizer tables to the gift table, optimizing for things like foot traffic without compromising the vibe we wanted. Sarah and Diana also helped us get out of a crisis or two; for example, we couldn't find a florist who would work with us for the very minimal flowers we wanted, and they hooked us up with a vendor friend of theirs who did gorgeous bouquets and bouts for us, for half of what Whole Foods wanted. The day of our wedding, we were so impressed to see everything set up exactly the way we had wanted it! We had so many little details: multi-part, table-specific centerpieces, menus and drink lists, overhead lighting, bathroom baskets, etc., etc...and Diana somehow set it all up with barely any instructions from us. Our one regret was that we didn't hire Diana for additional hours, and she had to leave right after dinner, leaving us to answer vendor questions and be present for clean-up after the reception. Thank you so much, Sarah and Diana, for helping to give us such an incredibly perfect day!! read more

Let's start with the facts: We cannot recommend Jillian and Without a Hitch more to any couple looking for a day of coordinator to make their wedding day amazing! From the first meeting we had, it was abundantly clear that they knew exactly what they were talking about and how to pull everything together for us. We started with a bare bones outline of things we thought we wanted, and Jillian took that, guided us through the whole process, and created an amazingly special day for us. She was knowledgeable, informative, organized and encouraging throughout the way, really emphasizing a team approach. She answered my thousands of questions, and always made time for us, never making us feel like we were 'too much.' We were one of the many couples that rescheduled because of the pandemic, but it felt like we never missed a beat. Jillian got to know us, understood our wants/needs and was amazing at carrying those out the day of. She was an anchor in a crazy day for us, with being pulled in many different directions, helped us stay on track with timing, coordinated probably more things than we were even aware of that day, and had a smile on her face the whole time. As an example of her attention to detail, she asked myself and my husband if we wanted to go into the venue first, as a sneak peek, before guests started arriving and milling about. It was so special to see our vision from paper in real life, and was an extra moment for just the two of us that we wouldn't have had without Jillian's thoughtfulness. We will cherish that moment of walking in together, being in awe, taking all the details in as one of our favorites from the day. We are so impressed with the care we were given, and we absolutely recommend Jillian and Without a Hitch to anyone looking for a day of coordinator to help make their wedding dreams a reality. read more

Working with Without a Hitch was one of the BEST decisions we made in our wedding planning process. We worked with Allison, and I cannot speak highly enough of the support she provided us not only on the day of, but throughout the almost year we spent discussing and preparing for my big day. The funny thing about wedding planning is that for so many of us brides, this is the FIRST time we've ever planned an event, never mind an event as important and complex as our wedding day. Once I selected all my vendors, I didn't know where to begin or what else was even needed - it felt so daunting. Allison swooped in with her expertise, kindness, and sense of humor to help bring all the pieces I had chosen together to create a perfect day. She worked with us to put together a very precise timeline and coordinated with all of our vendors so everyone knew where to be and when. Our schedule was so well organized that by the time I reached the week of the wedding, I was able to do something completely unheard of - I was able to RELAX, confident that everything was all set in Allison's hands. On our wedding day, I was able to be 100% present for every moment, the only items on my to-do list being to get married and enjoy myself. Everything, down to the finest details, was done exactly as I imagined it, from the way to tables and decorations were set to the way the evening flowed from one happy memory to the next. For anyone planning their wedding, when you are going through your budget and the "must-have's" I HIGHLY recommend you prioritize working with Without A Hitch. The experience they allowed us to have on our day was absolutely a "must-have." read more

Hiring Without A Hitch was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning and is worth every penny! Even though they are day of coordinators, they help so much before the actual day. I had met with Sarah and Allison months before our initial wedding date. Allison was our direct contact during the whole process and was our day of coordinator. Based on our feedback from our initial meeting they were able to help sketch out what the actual day would look like. Unless you are a professional wedding planner you likely have no clue what the day of your wedding would look like in terms of how much time everything would take and the best order for everything. Allison also provided great recommendations, in which I ended up using one their recommended hair and makeup artist. When our wedding venue had to be switched, they immediately emailed me with other recommendations that fit our taste, and we landed on Warehouse XI. Allison was so helpful through email and made sure I stayed on schedule with finalizing all the planning and details. On the day of the wedding we didn't have to worry about anything because we trusted Allison. She did an amazing job and made sure everything ran smoothly as well as help set up our signage and gift table. At the end of the night she made sure that any values we had were gathered and handled. I couldn't recommend them enough to help ease your planning and especially to ease any stress the day of your wedding. read more

Sarah from Without a Hitch was truly integral to our wedding truly going off 'without a hitch!' We got married at Olio (the Peabody venue that Sarah separately owns), so when we met her for our tour there, it was a no-brainer to choose Sarah as our coordinator -- she was organized, responsive, warm, and genuinely excited to help us execute our vision for our special day. From the day that we hired her, Sarah sent us recommendations for different vendors and checked in with us through the planning process. She was always available to answer the miscellaneous questions we had as we planned the event. As the day got closer, Sarah worked with us to gather the details and create a timeline of the day. She sent us tasks each week to check off, which helped make things more bite-sized and manageable rather than overwhelming. On the day of, Sarah was efficient and organized and as a result, the whole day was executed seamlessly. She guided us through the day, letting us know where we needed to be and when so that we didn't need to think about it. Sarah handled everything from leading our rehearsal the day before, to coordinating with all the vendors, to occasionally acting as the photographer's assistant, to grabbing us a cocktail to enjoy after the ceremony. Whatever we needed, she was there and as a result us and our families were able to enjoy every moment of the day without any stress at all. We cannot recommend Sarah enough! read more

Going into wedding planning, I knew that the only way my husband and I would be able to relax on the day-of would be to have someone we trusted to handle all of the details. Without a Hitch did not disappoint! Nicole ran our rehearsal and served as our day-of coordinator, and with her help, everything ran smoothly. She remained cheerful and unruffled through a stormy forecast and emergency rain-plan adjustments, deftly handled a crazy cocktail of DIY décor/self-catered bar/homemade dessert buffet, and made sure that we all had a wonderful time. We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to both Nicole and Sarah for all of their help in the lead-up to the wedding; they offered suggestions for catering and flowers that were within our limited budget, emailed regularly to check-in, both came on our venue walk-through, and promptly responded to all of our many questions with helpful information. Their timeline-centric way of planning also worked really well for envisioning the day and thinking through all the small details ahead of time, and we felt 100% comfortable leaving the execution in Nicole's hands on the day of the wedding. We cannot recommend Without a Hitch highly enough!! They are consummate professionals and a true pleasure to work with. And if you're on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator, give them a call immediately. It will only take one conversation for you to see that Nicole and Sarah are well worth the investment! read more

As my husband and I reflect back on our choice of vendors for our wedding day and our wedding planning, one key detail, person, choice emerges: the presence of Nicole and Without a Hitch. Nicole, with her gentle reminders and awesome advice, helped us craft our day using their wonderful timeline, countless emails and phone calls, and vendor referrals from the get-go. I immediately felt at ease and productive with her on our team. All of this hard work, including helping with our rehearsal, is BEFORE our actual wedding day, by the way! On the evening of our wedding, between our rehearsal and wedding day, my parents, our officiant (a family friend), and the wedding party kept commenting that they felt so comforted and ready knowing Nicole would be helping everyone at our wedding. She was such a welcomed, kind, and organized presence at our wedding. I am not sure what behind-the-scenes magic she worked that day, but I know it must have been thorough, wonderful and purposeful, because my family and I simply got to enjoy the wedding and reap the benefits of her hard work. If anything went wrong that day, we had no idea--and I think this is the true testament to the quality of Nicole's work. There is really nothing more that I can say beyond: hiring a day of coordinator is the best decision you will make, and when you make that decision, choose Without a Hitch. You will, without a doubt, be in excellent hands. read more

So after finding out that there is a such thing as a day-of coordinator, I knew that I had to find the perfect coordinator fit for me. So, I found Without A Hitch! Sarah Basch set me up with Diana Scott and it was great! My wedding was June 10, 2017. I had many different things that I wanted in my wedding and reception and she kept right up with it all. There were at least 2 stressful times when I looked at her and said, "what am I going to do?" and she sweetly held my hand, looked me in the eyes and very calmly told me, "I already took care of it." I can't begin to tell you how that felt especially when you see that she really did handle it! She even checked on me often throughout the evening to make sure we had everything we needed. Even prior to the wedding, she kept me on track and stayed on top of things until she got her answers. She kept me organized and when I wanted to go back and review something, I knew exactly where to find things. My now husband was skeptical of hiring a coordinator at first but after our initial meeting, he knew that we needed her and after, we were both so thankful. I mean REALLY thankful! It was such a beautiful day and if not for Diana, and her fitting my personality and understanding my vision so well, things would have been quite different. You will never regret hiring a day of... especially Diana.... for your wedding day!!! read more

I can say without question that my wedding would not have been as perfect if we hadn't employed the services of Without A Hitch Boston, and more specifically our coordinator Alisha. My husband and I decided to have our wedding at my parents' house in Massachusetts. Because it was a backyard wedding we were doing a lot of DIY and additionally planning somewhat long distance from our home in Philadelphia. I knew I needed a day-of coordinator so myself, bridal party, and especially my parents would not have to worry about who or what was going where and when on the big day. We met with founder Sarah and our coordinator Alisha just under a year before the wedding and they had already drafted up a potential timeline and list of details for us to consider, many of which I had no clue I needed to think about. And from that day Alisha was in constant contact with gentle reminders to fill in blanks, think about logistics, and suggest local vendors. When the wedding day came she was on top of it all and most importantly she was as calm as could be. It was such a comfort to have her there that day and for the entire process. She may have been a day-of coordinator but Alisha was helping and supporting us since the day she signed on. Without A Hitch Boston exceeded my expectations and I would absolutely recommend them and Alisha to anyone looking for a coordinator. read more

Our wedding this past July was everything we could have dreamed of and more, a feat which could not and would not have been accomplished without the wonderful, amazing, and organized day of coordination provided by Sarah and Without A Hitch! I cannot put into words the amount of work that Sarah put into making sure everything was all set for our wedding, not just on the day of but beforehand as well. In the months and weeks leading up to our wedding, Sarah was emailing us reminders for things that needed to be completed or filled in on our detailed timeline that she created. This timeline was extremely helpful for us since we had our wedding at a venue where we had to bring in all of the vendors ourselves, adding an extra level of stress to an already stressful process. Knowing that Sarah was there to coordinate with all the vendors allowed both myself and my husband to focus on each other, our family and friends and celebrate with those we love. I cannot tell you the number of people who came up to us after the wedding saying how impressed they were with Sarah and how impressed they were with everything she did! We cannot express enough how happy we are that we used Sarah and Without A Hitch for our day of coordination and highly highly recommend her to anyone looking for help! read more

Hiring Without a Hitch was one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning. We live in abroad and planned most of the wedding either over a year in advance or from outside the U.S. with an eight hour time difference. Nicole went above and beyond her day-of coordination to offer recommendations for calligraphers, hair and makeup, and a rehearsal dinner location, and she sent period reminders to keep me on track. But she was especially helpful on the day of the wedding. She took care of all of the set up of details like the place cards and guest book, so I could get ready with my bridesmaids without worrying about it. She also adapted when traffic made two of our hair and makeup artists an hour late, and we still had our first look. Her detailed timeline was useful to share with other vendors to keep everyone on the same page. We learned after the wedding that one of our guests wanted to know when we were going to cut the cake, tracked down Nicole's assistant, and saw her timeline--and was widely impressed when we actually cut the cake at 8:45pm according to the timeline. As a final note, Nicole kept a church leaflet after the day and was able to send it to my mom, who had forgotten to take one and was very grateful. We highly recommend her! read more

We worked with Sarah and Without a Hitch for our day of wedding planning. We are SO glad we did. While we did much of the planning ourselves and our reception venue had an event staff, Sarah kept us on point, on schedule and gave us things to think about that we wouldn't have otherwise. Her type A personality combined with her easy demeanor is exactly the type of person we wanted with us on our wedding day. She was in command of every single detail and we didn't have to worry. When the bus for the wedding party didn't show we knew it would be taken care of while we were in our wedding mass and we didn't think twice. As expected the bus was there waiting when we came out. When the grooms mom forgot something in her hotel room, Sarah was there. In fact one guest commented, "is she a triplet??? Because every time I turn around she is there!" With 3 hours between the mass and the reception she helped guests with details or bar/activity recommendations making them feel comfortable in Boston! Finally, we decided in planning our wedding we only wanted people around us on the day of that we would have as our friends so they fit right into the flow of the day. I can say without a doubt we loved spending the day with Sarah! We would recommend her to anyone! read more
