Went here at 7:30 for Good Friday and they weren't that busy, they closed at 8:30 so we just made it. Our server was super friendly. The place had a grease smell to it but it was bearable. We ordered the haddock and chips for $8.79 a good deal. Bread and butter was 99¢ and coleslaw was extra. The bread was nice and fresh and the fish was very good tasting with a light crispy batter. The chips weren't that great as a lot of them were overcooked and hard. They did give you a lot though. Next time I'll tell them not too cook hem as long.

Old school restaurant. Very good fish and chips. Fish was lightly battered and crunchy and not overly greasy. Chips were excellent

WOW WOW WOW!! absolutely the best Fish and Chips I've had…read morein many years, i ordered the haddock and fries, the batter was thin and crispy, its gluten free too, not that i would have noticed as crispy as it was, the fish was fried perfectly. The portions were fantastic, large fresh pieces of fish, no junk tail pieces either, super Delicious!! As for the fries, another WOW moment, just freaking outstanding fries. Hammerheads brilliantly fries their food in beef fat, which adds a ton of flavour, the fries were just crazy good as was the fish. Service was excellent its a take out place, very high paced, Mike the main guy was awesome. They are however flooded with orders, but luckily that doesn't affect the quality in any way, when busy, take out takes a bit longer, but ask anyone waiting, its so very worth it, i'll be back over and over!

So far I've tried their poke bowls, lobster rolls, and frozen lobster tails. All have been very delicious. The tuna poke bowls in particular are some of the best I've ever had - the flavors and textures are simply perfection. Hammerheads on Locke have already proven to be an amazing community partner - and offer pop up food at local businesses. I attended a film premiere party at Steel Town Cider where Hammerheads on Locke were serving up poke bowls. Cider + poke = match made in heaven! Super friendly and helpful staff - love this place!! So thrilled the Ottawa Street location decided to expand.

The restaurant is within a walk of the Tim Hortons Stadium and many folks were walking past in team colours. There were also patrons leaving to attend the game as we were arriving. The menu has a good selection for a variety of tastes. We were promptly seated and waited for the host of our party. The wait staff were at the ready upon our settling in. The house was not overly busy and we had up to three wait staff working with us, although one was primary with the others assisting to keep all the tables satisfied. Some of our party had appetizers which they thoroughly enjoyed. Between the four of us we had two of the day's special and two from the menu for entrees. While we were waiting we had a lovely selection of breads some of which had a duck confit on them making a nice crispy change from French stick which was included. The butter was nicely served in a perfectly softened state. All the entrees had a great presentation and we all enjoyed the meal. A couple of us continued to a dessert. These were truly enjoyed by those of us that ordered the dessert. Great flavour and presentation were appreciated. The washrooms on the same level as the restaurant. Some seating is raised above making for a semi-private space. The sole issue is the step up to the door will be difficult for some mobility issue patrons. The restaurant is not setup for a wheelchair access. We were fortunate to get a parking space right at the door. The area has paid street parking at meters or using an app. Around the corner may provide no fee parking if available.

The menu featured a pre- fixed menu for $65/per person - featuring Canadian or Argentinian steaks. We were guided through the menu by Nicole, a lovely vivacious server and who is also clairvoyant!

What a great night... and a Unforgettable Dining Experience at Victoria's Steakhouse…read more From the second we walked into Victoria's Steakhouse, we knew we were in for something special. The food was outstanding, but honestly, the service and overall experience stole the show. Right away, we were welcomed with a handwritten note from the staff, which was such a thoughtful touch. It set the tone for the whole night and made us feel like more than just another table. Leah, Taylor, Nicole, and Brenden on the bar all made sure we were taken care of, and they worked together like a real team. Our main server for the night, Leah, was incredible. She checked in at just the right times, kept the drinks coming, and made sure we never felt rushed. That's something I really appreciated--the timing was perfect. We had time to sit, talk, and enjoy every course without feeling like we were being pushed out the door. That alone makes this place stand out. The Food - Top Notch wow!! We ordered a mix of appetizers, and right away, we knew we were in for a great night. The Steak Tartare was packed with flavour, really fresh, and had just the right texture. The Beet & Charred Citrus Salad was a great surprise--the burrata made it creamy, and the mix of ingredients worked perfectly together. Then came the Maryland Style Crab Cakes, and these were easily some of the best we've had. Crispy on the outside, full of real crab on the inside, with no filler, and the fennel and grilled citrus remoulade gave them a light, fresh kick. Just unreal. The Wagyu D'or Bone Marrow was something else. Super rich, buttery, and loaded with deep beefy flavour. The short rib was so tender it fell apart, and the mix of confit onions, taleggio cheese, and truffle just made it even better. Definitely a must-try if you want something packed with flavour. Then we had the Wagyu, and this was hands down one of the most incredible steaks we've ever had. We ordered 4 ounces of Japanese A5 Wagyu, and it was everything you'd expect--unbelievably tender, with insane marbling that melted like butter in your mouth. The flavour was so deep and rich, you don't even need sauce or seasoning--it just speaks for itself. Every bite had that perfect balance of fat and beefiness, giving it a texture that you really can't compare to anything else. If you're someone who loves steak, this is an experience you need to try at least once. For sides, we went with the Risotto Milanese, which was perfectly creamy with a nice saffron taste--not too overpowering, just right. The Confit Carrots with brown butter and maple were also really good, with the smoked almond crumble adding a great crunch. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't leave without dessert. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was next-level. Warm, soft, and covered in a crazy good caramel sauce. If you're a dessert person, this is one you don't want to skip. The Cheesecake was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet--just really well done. A great way to wrap things up. A Cool Surprise at the End After we finished eating, they invited us to see the kitchen, which was something I've never had happen in Hamilton before. It was spotless, and you could just see how much passion the kitchen staff has for what they do. It was a really cool way to end the night and just added to the overall experience. This was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Hamilton. The food was next-level good, but what really made the night was the service. The staff at Victoria's Steakhouse didn't just serve us--they made us feel welcome. If you're looking for a top-tier meal with amazing service, this is the place. Hands down one of the best nights out we've had in years!!

We were driving back from Niagara Falls and wanted to find a spot for a good bowl of pho. After browsing on Yelp, we decided on Pho Binh Minh. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived around 8:45 p.m. on a weekend and we were seated promptly. We ordered our usual favorites and awaited eagerly to dive into a delicious bowl of noodle soup. The rare beef pho was oily and the broth lacked depth with a very strong note of MSG. I am not a MSG hater as I totally get its place in the culinary world, but... it should really play a supporting role, not the main character. In the case of PBM, the MSG was the star of the show which I didn't love. Unfortunately, my tom yum vermicelli did not fare any better. I expected a spicier and tangier broth. Instead, what I got was overly sweet and rather bland soup. Although the soups were served with all the right trimmings, I was rather disappointed that the flavours were so lacking. I probably wouldn't come back to PBM even if I am back in the area in the future.

Not sure why they were separated on the menu - it would have been better to categorize the dish in the same section, and just indicate the different types of noodles to select from. Unfortunately, the server didn't point this out when we ordered. The beef was also very chewy. The Shrimps with Salty Sauce had a good flavour, but the breading was very thick. It would have been better if they used less breading or replaced it with cornstarch or panko. The meal came out at a reasonable time. The servers tend to stay behind the cash counter so if you need service, you have to get up and ask. This was the case when asking for serving utensils, and also paying our bill. Decor was average.
