Beautiful restaurant, great view of the lagoon. Made reservations in the AM for that evening no problems getting a table for 8 people. Although I'm not a martini drinker I did try a dry martini extra dirty delicious! The meal was amazing service even better. Look forward to returning. read more

Had a family celebration, 15 people, celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary. The service and extra touches were 5 stars, but some of the food was not. Side dishes, appetizers and accompanied food items were not hot, even cold to cool, when they were suppose to be hot. Upholstery on the chairs stained and non working toilets in women's bathrooms, though there was a assistant to pour water so they would bowl would empty. For the $$$$ prices, I would think all the food would be hot, bathrooms working. The waiters were top notched and really provide the extra service that makes a person feel special. read more

Wow! This place was excellent. Pricey but worth it. We sat near the water on the lagoon on a beautiful night and got to see the sunset. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was elegant. Our meal: -12 Dozen oysters - 6 Kumamoto / 6 "East Coast" -Caprese Salad -Caesar Salad -Blackened Ribeye -Petit New York -Side: Garlic Mashed Potatoes -Side: Broccoli with Cheese -Espresso -Cappucino The great: My girlfriend has some allergies, and they were great dealing with the allergies. Even with a bit of a language barrier, the server made the necessary substitutions to ensure our meal was a success. The good: The steaks were decent. They were cooked to our liking. The Petit New York was cooked rare, but unfortunately the crust was largely missing. The salads were tasty. Also, I ordered a French75, and the server / bartender didn't know how to make it initially, but they figured out how momentarily. Thumbs up on that. Lastly, our server was pretty great and the tip was included, which is pretty cool. The Bad: The Oysters tasted off. In fact, I now know they're off based on how I'm feeling now. They were served without brine which leads me to think they were left shucked for a bit and not served quickly enough. There was also the unruliest set of folks sitting next to us, with their children out of control. I'm not blaming the restaurant, but if you want "romantic dining", let the host know prior to seating that you want to sit somewhere where you won't be disturbed. ----- All-in-all, the food isn't bad, but stick to the core competencies (steak). read more

Excellent service, prime cuts of steak and the most mouth watering appetizers. I've never had their dessert because i am always so full after i eat there but they still give you a sweet treat at the end of your meal which is a giant cotton candy which tastes amazing! The salads were a bit too drenched in dressing and the plate size made it a little bit difficult to manage. The duck was very good and the sliders and empanada starters we got were outstanding. This was my favorite steakhouse in Cancun! Unfortunately, the quality of food has declined and the service is great but they are only interested in upselling everything. I have been to the Harry's in Mexico City and Acapulco and the waiters here seem to only care about recommending the most expensive items on the menu. I ordered the Tomahawk Ribeye and the meat was not good. The appetizers were great but I ordered 3 deserts and even the deserts were sub par. The manager came by our table and I explained my frustration and he really didn't care. I highly recommend the carajillos as they are amazing. read more

My wife and I went to Harry's last night. This is a place if you are in Cancun you don't want to miss! My wife had the Cowboy steak and I had the aged New York. Both were outstanding. Lobster bisque was excellent and chunks of lobsters. The food and the service was some of the best I have ever had and I travel all over the world. Harry's is a place you have to go and dine. My wife and I chose Harry's for our Anniversary dinner a couple nights ago. The experience was fantastic to say the least. Our table was next to the Mangrove looking out over the Lagoon, the ambiance was great and the Staff was fantastically attentive. The presentation of the selection of steak was great, the wine list was broad and all encompassing by grape and Region of the world. The Spiny Caribbean lobster was amazing as were the steaks. They even brought us a piece of chocolate cake with a sparkler for our Anniversary. All in all a Fantastic experience in Cancún and a great night. Highly recommended. read more

I've been to some pretty good restaurants. I am one who will pay top dollar for a great steak and Harry was well worth it and reasonably priced. Not only was the food great but the atmosphere and customer service was awesome as well. If I ever go back to Cancun I will surely be heading to Harry's again. read more

This place is awesome! Ambience is perfect. The outdoor seating is beautiful. Very classy that they bring the bottle of liquor to the table and make your cocktail right there. The fresh brioche bread they give you is very delicious. The service was great. I never felt forgotten by our server like we did at the adjoining restaurant. We ordered the creme brûlée for dessert and our server also brought a surprise molten lava cake then brought complimentary cotton candy! Not sure if they do that for everyone as I saw a lot of people get the same thing. Haha. Either way it's a nice touch. We got the black onyx burger. Came to Cancun for our honeymoon, heard that Harry's was by far the best place for steak and lobster. And they did not disappoint! By far the highlight of our trip to Cancun. Beautiful location and views of the lagoon, the service was 5 star, friendly staff and food and prices were unbelievably immaculate and reasonable. I would have went here every night if I had my way. I was just here with a bachelorette party, and we literally received crappy service from beginning to end! Our servers made sure we received our menus an hour from our BOOKED reservation. The party that sat behind us literally arrived after us and received their main course foods before our appetizers. We waited forty five minutes to an hour for our check, once we received our check other people's items were added to our separate check. Here is my thing our server asked us prior before ordering "will the checks be separate" and we told him "yes". We asked to speak to a manager several time one never came. We went to Harry's on Christmas this year, me and my husband enjoyed it very much, the staff, the food, the atmosphere! We had the pretzel crusted Calamari for appetizer and king crab legs. Oh and another cool thing is they make your drink at your table which is very cool! For entrée I had the Japanese Kobe beef and he had the dry aged New York strip, mine was perfectly cooked and delicious, my husband enjoyed his as well. Prices are fair as well. A must go if you are visiting or on vacation! Only negative I will say is that the food took a long time but I'm assuming it was because of how busy it was from being Christmas. read more

My wife and sister in law wanted a good steak dinner to get away from the all inclusive meals. So I yelped Harry's and wow were we not disappointed. With the service they give they can charge what they want and I would pay. But the food is worth every penny and if you get an outside table even better. You can even see crocodiles cruising by. We have been going here for 9 years and always a terrific time. This was an unusual visit we asked for a table outside and have had in the past, but this time it made it stressful. A large group came off their boat and stood around our table area waiting for their table and during that time our waiter never came back. Very disappointed with this place. Had high expectations, but was disappointed. Literally writing this review while still at the table. For starters the wine menu was weak at best. We had heard that this place was the best in Cancun, and we sincerely tried. Our service was not on par with other places like Puerto Madero or Fred's that are yards away. Our server didn't mess anything up, but just put zero effort into our experience. The restaurant was dead on a Saturday night and they sat us in the back of the restaurant like we were in detention or to make sure tables were assigned properly. Black Onyx steaks were good but the wives Filet was way undercooked and I couldn't get her to get it fired up. Our server never even asked one time how our food was. I'm not even going to talk about the spiel for dessert. Oh and btw we needed another bottle of wine which he never got to because of the lack of his pouring skills. If I owned this place I know what change I would make day one but not yelping it.. Not ok Harry's! read more

On our last night in Cancun we decided to return to Harry's for our final night dinner.. Ambiance, service, food and margaritas were outstanding. However, a few items definitely need to be tweaked.. the potato au gratin served with the surf & turf entrees was awful, potatoes not cooked and tasted raw like cardboard; also, the jumbo lump crab appetizer was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT .. tasted more like a crab salad vs. true lump crab cake.. the dessert Birthday item and presentation was wonderful and the cotton candy presented at the end of the meal.. so MUCH FUN.! Thanks to my fellow Yelp reviewers my husband and I ate here during our recent stay. Checking in took a while as the person in front of us did or did not have reservations and there were 2 hostesses who seemed aloof to the crowd gathering to get in. We were seated, wait staff very prompt. Took our drink order and made the drink at our table. I personally found that weird, as most high end places may pour your alcohol at the bar but then add the mixer at the table, but whatever. We both started with the Caesar which was highly recommended on here. It was good but they either lost the cap from the dressing when pouring or it is always that ladened with dressing. Way to heavy. I ordered the sea bass and my husband ordered the aged rib eye. Both exceptionally good. Also we ordered the Parmesan truffle fries and those were AMAZING. We were too full for dessert but we got the cotton candy to go. That was completely worth going for. I absolutely will be back, I loved the ambience even the music set was good. read more
