This place is cool as heck!! The entrance is hidden by bookshelves in the hallway of The Grand. The decor reminds me of those cool bar lounges I used to go to when I was younger. The service was really good here, but the drinks were a hit and miss. Not every drink we had were good. Luckily since we were under a Diamond account, we didn't have to pay anything for these drinks. :) If you just want to kick back and have some drinks in a cool atmosphere, then give them a try.

The Library is a fun speakeasy bar hidden behind a bookcase in The Grand lower level. It has a nice ambiance set in Cuba. The staff is great. The menu is different and fun. Nice sitting areas as well as bar area I got the Clover club martini and it was fabulous! Blackberry liquor. The best. A must visit when at the Grand at Moon Palace!

Unique and great hidden bar in a tucked away portion of the Grand Palace main building. If you are lucky, you will see someone leaving and just go "through the wall". Otherwise, you will need to locate which bookcase is actually a door. With that figured out, welcome to a cool spot to chill late night after dinner, a day of pool lounging or other nearby excursions. There is a full bar with multiple bartenders and servers so service is reasonably attentive. Leather couches are the theme here and it's a nice break from other areas of the excellent resort. Drop in, if you can find it, and enjoy the not so well-kept secret. Enjoy!

Hidden gem located at the Grand Moon Palace. The after-hours spot is perfect to unwind, get a 'perfect' cocktail, and chill!!! The only issue I had is that the 'secret spot' ain't so secret and everyone wants to take photos from the exterior double doors... not worth losing a star and everything was on point from the live music, the vibe, and most importantly the drinks. My favorite... Smoke Mojito when they hit it with rosemary!!

Here, they have a couple of ice hockey tables, a pool table, a basketball shooter, foosball, ping pong, 2 shooting games (Jurassic Park and Walking Dead) and some Xbox stations and PC games. For the table games, you need to go to the counter, give them your room number and check out the games accessories, like cue balls, ping pong paddles ... etc. The shooting games terribly fun and therapeutic. The foosball tables are flawed as the balls often get stuck between the kickers. The cue sticks are a bit warped so it's difficult to show off my mad skills. And they can use some new ping pong paddles. Other than that,'it's a fun place. I spend many hours here with my kid. If you get hungry or thirsty, they have a snack bar with popcorn, desserts, ice cream, sandwiches and even pizza. There are multiple screens in the wall airing various sports. It's a cool place to chill and escape the tropical heat.

Safe to say, do not order steak, everything else just go for it! Their mojitos were my personal favorite, even after just having two of them i felt great! (But I had more) I also am a huge fan of their ceviche, their portion was quite large enough to share with my entire family, not to mention their shrimp with rice plate was also a favorite. My kids though liked their burgers and their pizzas especially when we did not want to go out. The service was great especially after the servers go to know us more and knew what we liked, they were great and informative on the menu items and seated us where we liked which leads me to my next topic: The scenery. The scene was amazing! I loved the breeze from the beach as the sliding doors were open while we ate (and did close them when it was a bit too windy) but it was so beautiful both in the morning and during sunset as we enjoyed our meals.

The tacos need as much pico de gallo and salsa as possible, just to have any flavor. There is a brick oven where they make pizza. I figured that would be good. It tasted like US public school cafeteria pizza. A notch below Celeste frozen pizza. It's located within the hotel by the pool and, like I said, has an amazing view. It's not winning any awards.

Benazuza is a 20+ course foodie experience that will approach everyday ingredients in a fun way…read more Benazuza is located in The Pyramid at the Grand Oasis, specifically inside of their casino area. If you are not staying at the hotel, be sure you tell the gate keeper that you are going to this restaurant when approaching the hotel. The workers will point you towards the restaurant. The hotel itself is beautiful, it feels like you are walking through an indoor plant nursery. The meal started off at the bar outside of the dining area, where reimagined cocktails are served before your meal. My party and I were served by Luis here who was the sweetest and thoughtful. Luis's cocktails set the expectations very high. Then you are moved to the dining area where you are offered a wine menu and the appetizers and entrees begin coming out. Each dish was explained and plated perfectly. They are small plates, not full plate coursed meals. I wish the cocktails were served at the end of the meal as the heavy sweetness factor did fill us up by the middle of the dinner, we were stuffed. If you are in cancun I believe that this is a necessary stop in your itinerary. For around 125USD per person you will have a classy dining experience. Email the restaurant beforehand to make a reservation, they're not the best with their communication but once you get a reservation, you have no worries. Get the bottle of wine with dinner- treat yoself.
