All-in-all it was worth the inconvenience. Very eclectic menu, warm atmosphere and outstanding service. I started withe the Mango-Tamarind: Lettuce, Indian walnut, mango, blueberries, Cotija cheese, mango-habanero dressing and tamarind billet. Unique and tasty. "Swiss Chicken Enchiladas" for the main course was not what you get at a local Mexican joint -- Four tortillas stuffed with chicken, bathed in a creamy tomatillo sauce with melted cheese and a base of refried black beans. This was a 5-star dish! I couldn't resist ordering a side dish though I didn't need to because the enchiladas were really enough, so I indulged myself with fries: these were not your run of the mill French fries. Porfirio's Potatoes -- French fries with chipotle pepper aioli, parmesan cheese and parsley. Finally, if you like ice cream I highly recommend that you order BOTH offerings: 1) "ICE CREAM TASTING" - Strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream from Metate, marzipan ice cream and vanilla from Papantla. Served with grated coconut, chocolate grain, M&M's, Oreo cookies and ice cream cones; and, 2) "PORFIRIO'S MOLECULAR ICE CREAM" - served with cajeta Worcestershire sauce in an ice cream cone. (I know it sounds disgusting right? Nope it worked. The chef is just showing off with this dish)

I took some notes and this is what I thought of the dishes. Xoajacan Imoladas - The mole is perfection. The flautas, superb. Everything in this plate is a symphony of what I would expect from Xoajaca. 9.5/10 Barbacoa Bonemarrow - Barcacoa is on point. The Marrow is Sublime. Together with the accompaniments is superb. I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The microgreens, the sauce and the square Tostada works well all together. 8.8/10 Salmon - Cooked perfectly. The corn is a great accompaniment. The fish is impeccably seasoned. This dish is heaven sent with a 9.8/10 Grilled Octopus - Grilled perfectly, I can tell by the texture. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Needs a little more zip, some citrus or vinegar would give this salad some justice. Its a little uninspired 7/10 Service is impeccable and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely.

This is wild- it's part disco, part dance club, part show. They play loud, loud music, and every third or fourth song or so, every 15-20 minutes, they do a show- someone comes in dressed as The Mask, or Beetlejuice, or Captain Jack Sparrow, and they do a musical dance number and everyone goes insane. It's open bar. But all the drinks are pretty bad. The beer- Tecate Light poured from caguamas. I'd never heard of the rotgut tequila. You apparently have the option to get a bottle and a table for a few thousand pesos. Party next door for warmup at the Oxxo or Senior Frog's. The staff were all friendly, and acted like they loved their job, and had seen it all. My favorite thing was that the urinals were in the shape of mouths. The decor is amazing. The shows were fantastic. I had an amazing time. I can't wait to go back! I've never paid a cover this high, but the costumes, the cleanliness, the professional friendly staff, everything felt safe, even though there was massive amounts of booze being consumed.

The only reason why I recommend that is because I was able to take a ride share to the venue however coming back taxis were the only option and it ended up being double the price of a ride-share. With that being said the whole venue is set up very nicely. You get there plenty of time to check in walk around the grounds. They have a lovely open air bar area and plenty of things to look at while you're waiting for the show to start. I ended up buying the VIP dining experience which includes a pre show cocktail ( with mini bartender performance), the three course meal along with half of a bottle of champagne and an appetizer as well. Every part of the meal from start to finish really was a presentation. Started off with a beautiful round plate that had an interactive portion with a flower that had edible petals. You took off the flower petals and then poured the dressing on top of it and mixed it up, which was one of my favorite things for the evening. The plates themselves were definitely custom-made as each item had a little indentation to make sure that they were properly aligned in the exact same spot for every single person who received. The main course I selected was the beef short ribs, which came out in essentially a rock covered plate that once lifted off, you could see the lovely presentation of the beef. The veggies were presented in a small bone and then also the sweet potatoes were in a ramekin that had a lovely lid on them. Last, but not least the desserts came out in a book that when you turned it and opened it, presented four different dessert options three of the four were ok there was one I was just not a fan of. The venue itself was set up so almost every seat in the house had a really good view of the stage. Upon entering the venue, they had live music with a quartet on the stage that had a harp of all things, and that was super amazing. The quartet played while the main portion of dinner was served and then right when the desserts came out was when the show started. From start to finish, the show was extremely entertaining. I can't believe that the 80 minutes went by so quickly you blink and the show is over with. Although I do not speak Spanish. It was easy enough to follow along the theme of the show as well as a lot of it really is the acrobatics and showcasing the talent of all of the individuals as part of the production. I really enjoyed the fact that they have three platforms inside of the seating area and the show really does take up the entire space of the venue multiple layers, multiple levels and multiple different activities going on. It really made you feel like you were in an immersive experience. Every section of the performance really gave you a great respect for the talent and the energy that it takes to create their craft but also how precise they are doing so. There is even one part of the show where an audience participant got pulled up on stage, which was quite hilarious and the whole thing was just so entertaining. Since everything's already prepaid, once the show is over with you're able to depart without any need for waiting around for a check Only downside is that there are not a lot of restrooms in the venue itself. The ladies room had three stalls and one of which was accessible so that made for a long line after the show was over. If you have the ability to go see this, I'd highly recommend taking the time and pre-booking your transportation to make it a little bit less stressful.

Impressive yes, but nothing that wowed me like cirque du soleil usually does. Additionally, the start time of the show is misleading. Tickets state 8pm start time but that's not the case. Show didn't start until 9:15pm. You had to wait in an outdoor lounge in this humidity. Lastly, I would be weary of the food. I purchased a ticket that came with appetizers and oh my god. As soon as I ate them I started feeling awful. Fast forward to me throwing up several times that night. God only knows how long the food was sitting in that humid theater for. Overall, not worth the $200 ticket price.

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.

Each move they make is with exquisite care. The level of service is one that would be tough to match. We first received some bread and an amouse bouche (watermelon with goat cheese). Both were nice little tastes to start the evening. For appetizers, we chose both the Caesar salad and Corn Soup. They were both very good dishes, with the corn soup being a HUGE standout. It was a unique concoction that oozed with flavor. A must order! For mains, we had the NY Strip and Sea Bass. The strip was a solid steak, but not the best in town. That honor would go to Harry's. However, both dishes were still very solid 4/5 star achievers. The sea bass was a nice salty dish that was unlike any other variation of it that I've had. The service here is superb, they have live jazz music at times, and you really can't go wrong with anything that you order! This may be my top choice in Cancun as of this writing for its all around dining experience.

When we arrived, we were greeted with FABULOUS music (their pianist is magnificent) and escorted to a special table for us. It was more than either of us could have expected: rose petals, fabulous place settings, and when we received the menus, we opened them to see, on the left side, Tina's special menu slip/greeting that read: "Happy Birthday, Dr. Tina" (nice touch). The meal itself was delectable! We were presented with a delicious lobster amuse bouche and we ordered a beef tartare to share. I have been eating less red meat lately, however if you're going to eat red meat, eat it here. The quality of the beef tartare was amazing and beautifully presented (as every other dish we ordered). For the second course, I ordered the corn soup. Best corn soup hands down! The flavor was out of this world. For our entrees, I had the duck (staple of the restaurant for 20 years) and Tina ordered the sea bass. My duck was soooo good and I tasted her sea bass which was very flavorful. For dessert, we had ordered (at beginning of meal) a chocolate soufflé which came out hot and delicious (and tasty but not too sweet, which I also appreciate). Then after our soufflé, they delivered a special additional chocolate cake with candle and 'Happy Birthday Dr. Tina' writing on plate, while they sang to us/Tina. It was very cute and sweet. I can honestly say, this experience was a dream: from the synchronized delivery of food/presenting of dishes from the wait staff (literally felt like I was in a 007 ritzy scene with the service), thoughtful touches, delectable cuisine, exceptional jazz music, warmth of staff and great service. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. Classy place and extremely well run. Hats off to the manager and chef (they both came up at beginning and end of meal to speak with us and thank us for coming which was very nice) and our amazing server Oscar (he was so kind and truly the best!! 10s across the board on service!!). Everyone at Club Grill made the night so special and magical and this truly put a smile on both of our faces! I admit, I am used to experiencing top quality/very nice places, but even this place truly impressed me, and that says a lot. Can't wait to come back to Club Grill at the Ritz, next time I'm in Cancun. Thanks again to Oscar, the manager, chef and team/staff at Club Grill. You truly made this night special for us and you rock!! Lesley Hunter
