The bartender was messing with my wife and I's drinks, pouring random stuff (multiple alcohols and sodas) in there while the others laughed... we both ended up throwing up that night. Why, oh why don't you have a dance floor?! If you don't have a reserved table, you'll have nowhere to dance or stand without being in the way. It's such a shame of a set-up because the music is great (if you like 90's and early 2000's hip hop) and the gigantic drinks actually make the open bar worthwhile. I have been here 2 times and its so much fun !! We went out for my boyfriends bday while we were in Cancun and came here . We bought our ticket at the resort $35 each including the taxi ride , drinks included huge drinks! The music is always great and updated, the dancers are awesome and the staff is so friendly so too and be nice , it goes a long way in Mexico.. We danced all night and had a blast. The only bad thing was that I drank water and I should know better , it made me so sick , so stick to alcohol and water out of a bottle and the resort's water since it's from a water bottle . read more

Of all the places to party in Cancun, La Vaquita has made my top 3! On my most recent trip to Cancun, one night after a long day of excursions and riding on a tour bus my friends and I thought we'd be done for the day. Our drop off destination was in the area of this club and while walking pass across the street we were stopped by one of the promoters for the club. Now normally I usually don't stop but the guy who approached us was super chill and not pushy! He made a deal for my friends and I which we couldn't turn down AND received the VIP experience. We bought our tickets, went to our hotel to change and returned. Same guy was at the door as promised and escorted us in to our section and the fun began! We had a blast!! Great music! Great drinks! We were ripped off..14 of us, $35 a piece for a section & open bar. The "section" was a small round table, we had to flag down the waiter to keep bringing drinks. The drinks were in these large gas station cups so I know barely alcohol was in it. I order straight Bacardi rum. Both times, both cups tasted NOTHING like rum but straight juice. 2 hours into the night, no one felt any liquor. The only thing I enjoyed was I came all the way from ATL &represented. Came here on 4/7/17 and the DJ was on point with the hip-hop rnb music (very current songs as well as old school songs). We got there at 11 and the cover fee was 583 pesos/person which included open bar and re-entrance. People dressed from casual shirt/jeans to instagram model status so attire is flexible. The drinks were aight: huge cups but diluted af. Also when they dropped confetti from the sky all our drinks got decorated so we had to throw those out gg. Also later into the night , someone was walking around and sharing a huge solo-cup-ful of tequila: we had no idea where this person got it from because la vaquita served things in cow-cups but whatever! Not the place to really dance--everyone is standing around because half the space consists of stairs and you can't even really stand on the stairs which forces people to squeeze around the VIP sections which are also marked off. Some hookah tables on the 2nd and 3rd level. The stairs make the place look huge from the pictures but it's not that big. There are 2 stages for the performers who basically dance until the MC decides to kick them off. When I went, the MC held a booty twerking contest with 4 contestants and the award was 2 bottles of Andre and he said 500 pesos of something but idk if that was on top of the andre or if it was the andre... (my friend won but didn't receive 500 pesos lol). The MC was mean tho, told a girl to gtfo the stage because "we don't want that up here" and "that's not what we are about" like just let the crowd decide damn. Was lit though! read more

You cannot move at all. My friends and I were offered COCAINE from the employees?? Excuse me?! Loved the music here! However, the bartenders force you to tip them before pouring drinks even if you paid for an open bar. Each time I went up to order a drink, the bartender would push the tip jar in front of me. I get it, you want tips. But, I also did shell out a lot of money for the open bar already. The drinks are also watered down. I stuck to El Jimador tequila and it tasted like water. You can't really dance here which is unfortunate since the music is actually good. 3.5 stars "La Vaquita" which means small cow in Spanish is fun and is the place to go if you are in Cancun and looking for a place that plays hip-hop, R&B and Reggaeton. Like that's really all they play all night. The admission was $30 with unlimited drinks. The drinks are large and come in white Styrofoam cups. They tasted a bit watered down to me but nonetheless having enough of them will get you tipsy. The set up of the club is weird as its kind of half outside. When you roll up to it, you'll see what I mean. The music is loud and bumping and at times drowns out the other clubs on the strip. They played oldies and recent music. My peeve with this place is that the owners are so greedy that they pack this place to capacity and makes it hard to move inside let alone dance comfortably. Its a fun party overall. I would definitely come back here when I am in Cancun again. I recommend this place if you're into hip hop like I am. read more

First things first, I'm a fan of the all of the cow decor! And ALL of the hiphop music was awesome, especially the old school West Coast vs. East Coast type of music. Towards the end, they played more EDM music but for the majority of the time, it was hiphop. However, I definitely felt old when I walked into the club. Since it's $30 for open bar and the drinking age in Mexico is 18+, you can understand what type of crowd there was. You get huge Styrofoam cups for your drinks, but they tasted watered down. It was crowded, there was little to no ventilation (there were several fans, but none of them were blowing!), and people were pushy. The bar itself is half outside and partially inside. This is possibly the only cow-themed hip-hop bar on the planet, and it's the only hip-hop bar in Cancún, so it's worth a stop through to check it out. However, as soon as you get within a block, you have already checked it out. What do I mean by that? Well, have you ever been to a place where there are no windows, a velvet rope and a line outside, and you get inside only to be disappointed that no one is in there? Well, that would never happen here because this place is the exact opposite. Like many of the clubs in Cancún, there are only three walls, so you can see in the club before you get there. That means that you get to hear the music and see the crowd before you even get inside. While this is great as you know if you will get your money's worth, you may soon find yourself remembering how important a/c is if it is one of those 90 degree/90% humidity nights. We came here on our first night because the music is loud and good, we got in and were walked to our table with open bar. The waiters were quick and attentive. Highly recommend getting a table because the non table area is very small and this place has no air condition. This spot was my favorite, we ended up leaving the clubs we had wristbands for just to party and dance here. The restrooms were clean and had air condition. They had dance offs for free bottles. We went on a Sunday night. We actually was headed to another bar but was stopped by someone who got us in for $35 per person and open bar. The open bar was definitely not worth it. You only can get certain drinks and they put so much mixer in the drink you can barely taste the alcohol. The music was good but the place was extremely packed. Luckily a guy with a table kind of pulled us over so we were able to sit with him. Once he left though the table was $20 and when we decided not to take the table the waiter became quite rude no like really rude. Get ready to moo-ve your body at the most quirky and fun nightclub in Cancun! It's spotted, black and white decoration make it impossible to miss amongst the other blasting nightclubs. As soon as you arrive you'll be taken in by the party, just don't mind the giant hanging cows. The service is great, just what you would expect from the owners, Grupo Mandala, who also own most of the other clubs in the area. As far as drinks and music go you can't expect anything much different than its sister clubs, but this one surely has something special to it. If you're in Mexico this bar/club should be on your list to go to. They play a great variety of music to pop, techno, hip hop, etc. The staff are very friendly but majority do not speak English. For open bar all night will cost 20-30 usd depending on what time you arrive. If you go at 930 you will only pay 20 for a pre sale price. They double charged my card twice but with it being a busy night I signed both receipt, they told me my card was declined one of the charge that was the reason I let them charge my card twice and when I tried to dispute the other charge since it was incorrect they really sent my bank both receipt although the day off I had showed the manager both charges on my phone imagine in the middle of having a great time and you have to pop up your phone and show them your transactions because of their faulty ways and he said one didn't go through it just pending so inconvenient they knew EXACTLY what they did!! They knew we weren't from Cancun so we wouldn't been able to come back to the place and resolve the issues. Totally a ripped off!!! Super fun club with great music. They play a good mix of jamaican/dancehall, hip hop, and reggaeton. Like others have said, the set up is kind of weird. When you walk in there is a small area to stand/dance but after that, the whole club is basically a set of stairs with VIP sections/tables along the side of the stairs. If you don't have VIP/table, you might not have as much fun because the place gets PACKED and there's no "dance floor". I would definitely recommend getting a table!! 4 stars because of this, and because the alcohol used, although cheap entry for open bar, was bottom of the barrel. I felt kind of sick after finishing a few drinks. Overall I definitely enjoyed myself and would return. read more

All the times visiting Cancun & I never came here.. we decided to check this place out. Interesting set up here club itself is open air so it gets crazy hot. We got bracelets w open bar for $25 not bad considering some of the other prices were $50-65. Once inside we got a table, drinks Beer.. can't go wrong nice & cold here so it was great, some shots no idea what they were but by that point it's like who cares loll I tried the drink in them crazy large cups Green drink wasn't bad a bit too sweet the Blue was better taste wise not bad. Once settled we danced the night away, music was on point they play a nice mix of hip hop, reggaeton & house no complains here. Only complain we sat second level from the bar area up on top area good/bad idea? People drink they get sloppy drinks get spilled not cool happened twice!! So sit at your own risk am sure this happens here more times than none. La Vaquita only gets three stars from me... I did enjoy myself dancing because the music was on point as many others have commented. What I didn't like were the drinks and the set up though I did manage to find a really cool spot right above everything to dance with my hubby. Once people noticed how cool my spot was they tried to squeeze in but I wasn't letting that happen... Tips... buy a bottle and g... cost about 30 buck to get in, but 3 people can share a bottle and get a comfy VIP spot on the stadium like arena club OR you can buy a sot to sit for like another 30 dollars and continue to drink the huge disguising drinks... All the clubs get packed like sardines and the same crowd pretty much spreads out everywhere so don't expect the people to be different at the other clubs mentioned... Cancun crowd; you come for either bachelor party or group of friends looking for a great time drinking beyond drunk... so if you don't like that then hit up one of the restaurants and maybe stay at your resort bar. read more

Music was great, and compared to many of the other places in the downtown party area, this place had the best all inclusive deal with great dancers, great music, and all you can drink for $35. Bad service. A group of us came here to eat and have a good time. Service began ok. We received drinks, hookah and food. We ate, listened to music and talked while eating and enjoying the environment. Once done eating, the server came to me and asked that I give up my table because she had new clients that needed seats. We finished our food approximately 5 minutes prior to this request. We still wanted to hookah and continue to enjoy ourselves. The female server did not like this and therefore blacklisted us for the rest of the evening. Our hookah died and we requested more from 5-7 different servers after we realized she wouldn't bring a fresh hookah for us. No one ever brought any new hookah and continued to pretend they would but never did. We eventually left. Before we did, I went to the primary server and another who was next to her and told them both they did a bad job and I did not appreciate the disrespect. My group then left. As we walked down the alley, the female server alerted the police of what I said to her. They came to us 8-10 deep and attempted to intimidate us. As we walked, one of these predators punched my cousin! All we were doing is walking; the female pointed at us and we were assaulted. We spent $300 in this establishment. These officers were in the restaurant the entire time that we were there. If these people were truly disrespected, they would've saw it before we left. As I calmed my cousin down after being punched, another officer slapped my face with a sarcastic smirk on his face. I got upset and got in his face; he did it again and the other officers immediately formed a fence around him. Terrible treatment for black people in this place. Really makes me question if I'll ever come back to Mexico. read more

Ghetto tourist trap. Was there earlier this year for a going away party and did not enjoy it. Waited around 20 minutes to use the restroom. The servers lure you in and "pretend" to speak to you in English so they know if your foreign or not to charge you in dollars. The concept of pesos is nonexistent here. Kept talking to them in perfect Spanish but called me "guera" and kept talking to me in English. I'm Mexican and felt offended that my own people wanted to play me. It was quite annoying. The drinks are very watered down and super sweet sure it gave me immediate diabetes. Wanted to charge us $80 per person just to get in on a Friday (busiest day they said) and get an "open bar" wristband and they were hooking us up with a "deal". This place is trash. Do not waste your time here. If you're going to spend your money do it right at a place that is worth it not here. The guys and servers are creeps catcall the girls walking by on the sidewalk to lure them in. Music selection was lame it's like they are stuck back in the early 2000s. We went to La Vaquita for my friends 30th birthday with a group of 10 women. We went on a Saturday and it was packed. Good mix of R&B, rap, reggaeton if that's what you are looking for. We paid 30 USD per person for the open bar. Drinks are watered down so order the Tequila shots (which may be watered down as well ). Pay alittle extra (10.00 USD)and you can sit in "VIP". We had a corner spot with easy access to the platform that faced the street which was fun since you can dance and show off alittle to the onlookers. We went back on Sunday, not as crowded but still good atmosphere...oh and did I mention the hookah? Good addition to your party night as well. Just be mindful that the open bar closes around 3:00am. read more
