Amuse bouche of gluten free tomato soup
Prithi D.

In my opinion, this is the 'fancy' restaurant at the Ritz so if you are celebrating or planning a special night, this place is it! Amazing decor, excellent service, and wonderful food. My daughters both said it was one of the best steaks they've ever had! We where there on a Thursday and there were two gentlemen playing the piano and sax which really added to the ambiance. The night before, we checked in about gluten free options and we were assured they would accomodate us and even told us about the gf dessert they had. We enjoyed cocktails, fresh bread (they brought out gluten free bread for our daughter), amuse bouche was even gf, steaks, soup, sides....all amazing! For dessert, we ordered the chocolate souffle. We had told them we were celebrating our anniversary so they also brought out sweet treats for that as well as roses for the ladies at the table and gluten free petit fors bits for my daughter! Very attentive and kind staff!

We went to Cancun last week and stayed in Ritz Carlton, Cancun , due to Fantino is under renovation till September, we had to have dinner in The Club Grill, the food were great and service were the best and very attentive, also there was live piano playing, we will definitely come back again.

This meal deserved a Michelin star it was really that good. The service was excellent and the food was superb! Everything was prepared so perfectly with excellent attention to detail. The way the items were cooked and flavored was just to my liking. Pretty expensive place but was well worth it. Will for sure come back when in Cancun.

This is a five diamond restaurant that lives up to that standard in every possible way. Oscar and the service team were among the best we've ever experienced, including NYC, Chicago, etc. The only thing more well choreographed than the dance floor and live music is the table service. Outstanding food, top notch presentation, and everything you expect when you see five diamonds.

Cinco-star service was the highlight of dinner at the Club Grill in the Ritz Carlton Cancún. The hostess, piano player, lead server, and entire team were on their game from the moment we entered the restaurant. Drinks were poured, bread served, plates cleared, silverware replaced, and small amuse-bouche given ... and that was just in the first 10 minutes. While some of the food at the Club Grill were beautifully-presented with flavors to match, some of the dishes were fairly pedestrian. Perhaps, they keep the spices and tastes safe to appeal to a wider range of hotel guests (from America), but it sure seemed like there were some missed opportunities for a magical culinary adventure. We started with a pair of Club Grill Peach Champagne Margaritas (MX$300 each) that are poured table-side featuring Don Julio 70 and bubbly Champagne with a Peach twist. It was too peachy for me, so, I switched to Classic Margaritas (MX$235) for the remainder of the meal. Note: there is a MX$50/person charge for water, too. A selection of Bread was offered and served with a soft Butter spread. Luckily, they had no problem returning throughout the meal with more bread because we liked them way too much. Our server also brought out a bite-sized Salmon hors d'œuvre compliments of the chef to successfully kick-start our appetite. A bowl of Sweet Corn Soup with Glazed King Crab and Truffle (MX$290) and plate of Grilled Octopus (MX$290) arrived a few minutes later. Both were mediocre for different reasons. The soup was bland and almost cold while the octopus was overcooked and almost dry. Two much better selections followed: Grilled 14oz Lamb Rack (MX$850) with Green Beans and Heirloom Tomatoes and Canadian Roasted Duck (MX$640) with a Sweet Potato Puree and an Agave Tequila Sauce. The lamb chops were savory, tender, and seared to medium-rare perfection. The duck was lighter on taste, but the sauce and sweet potatoes brought some distinction. To end our feast, the cheerful server brought out a free Dessert Sampler from the chef and a fresh-cut Red Rose from him. Spoiling me never hurts. The tough part was picking a Soufflé for dessert. We opted for the "rare" Coconut Soufflé (MX$240) which was definitely coconuty, but probably not as yummy as the chocolate version. Thanks to some nice dishes and the nicer team, the Ritz Carlton Cancún's Club Grill is a pricey, but excellent choice for hotel guests or locals seeking a nice dinner featuring five-star service.

The gentlemen working at Caribe were absolutely fantastic. When I was stumped on a drink to try, one of the servers sent their 40 frozen drink menu options to my phone for me to peruse! The quesadillas I got were tasty with lots of shrimp. The guacamole is so good I could eat it every day--and almost did! Highly recommend.

The servers are all super friendly and make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable during your visit. They really do a great job to make sure you have that sun umbrella or extra towels. There's no doubt the food is overpriced here but when you think about how you're getting beachfront dining, then it's a little more palatable. After dining here a few days in a row, my favorite was the beef quesadillas. I also got to try the chicken tacos (3 in an order) and chicken nachos, but the beef quesadillas were by far the best thing I got. The beef was tender and the cheese was perfectly melted. Charge your order to your room and you're good to go! When you're staying at the Ritz, you don't have another option but this option isn't that bad... just a tad overpriced.
