We came here on a private boat tour from Cancun to Isla Mujeres island, our tour guide introduced this restaurant and it didn't disappoint! We stayed at an all inclusive resort in Puerto Morelos for 5 days. (no name for our privacy purposes) So this was the only chance we got to eat at a restaurant and everything was as perfect as it gets! The menus were huge on both drinks and food, they literally had everything on the menus. We ordered a few drinks like Pina colada, beers, Mezcal shots and Perrier sparkling water. Ice cold drinks were much needed on a hot and humid day on the island. We had Octopus ceviche as appetizer and it was the best I have ever had! The octopus was super tender and moist which was great with house spicy salsa. Our sever was very impressed that we could eat that salsa cause it's too spicy for most Americans. We looked through the menu while munching on ceviche, decided to try one of the live Caribbean spiny lobsters from the tank. The servers brought us the lobster to weigh it in front of us and gave us the MP that day in American dollars. For a 4.2kg lobster it was $289 and they would grill it with side of rice and veggies. Lobster wasn't cheap but it was so worth it, the seasoning was so flavorful and we loved it with house salsa and habanero hot sauce. But I did think we paid more in American dollars, pesos would've been cheaper! The Caribbean lobster was a lot of food for hubby and I so we shared it with our tour guide and he took the leftover lobster back to the crew. We couldn't possibly take the rest of the massive lobster back to our resort in riviera maya from Cancun, even for leftover it was still so much food! This restaurant and bar is right on the beach so we got to see the beautiful sunset of Isla Mujeres while having one of the most amazing seafood meals! The service was top notch, all servers were extremely friendly and pleasant. They all spoke decent English so it was easy for us to communicate with them too. It was such a romantic dinner for hubby and I, we would love to visit here again if we ever come back to this island! Ps. Not what I would call fresh, especially not island-fresh. The concierge at our hotel recommended the local specialty.... a snapper cooked in the traditional Mayan style called Tinkinxic. It's wrapped in banana leaves and cooked over hot coals after being marinated with aciote, onions and peppers. It's delicious and a must try. The mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were perfectly seasoned and great accompaniments. The customer service was stellar. Everything was wrapped in saran wrap for Covid precautions. I'm assuming they wipe it all down and wrap it up so you know they are cleaning and sanitizing things accordingly. The drinks were strong and delicious. My group and I rented a yacht for the day and our captain recommended this place, as it was easy as docking and walking a short minimal distance to the restaurant where we chose to sit outside because of the amazing view of the beach. There was canopies and a bench that you can take amazing pictures. Getting to the restaurant, the service was swift and amazing, although I tipped ahead of time for quicker and more efficient service. They brought out the fresh fishes and live lobster to our table to inquire if we want to make an order. I passed on the lobster because it was going to be nearly 500 usd, little pricy in my opinion but I did order multiple seafood dishes that weren't too costly, the fish was roughly 50 usd , and we'll worth it. Their coconut shrimp was crisp and delightful, the sauces and accompaniments like the shallot oil and pico de Gallo were excellent. The grilled fish was simple yet delectable. The refreshing pina colada in the pineapple came tricked out with gummy bears etc to make it look fun and inviting. My issue was that I tipped more than fair throughout the lunch and our servers conversion was off by 300 usd , definitely have a calculator/ phone out and make sure they aren't trying to rip you off. I would've gave them 5 stars if it wasn't for that move, but the food, service and ambiance is definitely inviting and gives off them at vacation vibes. read more

This entire island is a horrendous tourist trap. This restaurant was right up there with one of those negative experiences. The wait staff was rude, condescending and unhelpful. I get it, they deal with stupid fat tourist all day but I was simply asked how much fish do I get for $138! Really? !! $40 per lb for lobster?
