Harry's was one of the highlights of our trip, food-wise. Harry's is phenomenal!
Harry has a beautiful setup and atmosphere. It's simply gorgeous. The staff treats you like a King and Queen. They wait on you hand and foot with such positive attitudes. Their service was phenomenal. We asked our waiter for Harry's top recommendations and suggestions.
Let's start with drinks. My husband had is basic Jim Beam and diet coke (blah!) I wanted to try something new and fresh, so they sent their mixologist over, and she asked several questions like what type of drinks I usually drink, do I like fruity, minty, or the taste of alcohol. Do I like sweet or sour or something in the middle. She got a feel for what I wanted and preferred. The mixologist recommended two drinks, which I took her up on, and they were delicious and unique. My daughter ordered a mock mango margarita and a mock pina colada. She enjoyed her drinks.
While your drinks are being created, they bring you out a warm roll of brioche bread with a few sauces. Each sauce was delicious in its way.
We started with an appetizer, soup, and a salad. All were incredibly delicious. For the appetizer, we ordered the Roca Shrimp, which our waiter had recommended, and it did not disappoint. My daughter and husband ate all but two shrimps. It was that good. Hey, I least I got to try it. The tempura shrimp was mixed with Meyer lemon, Sriracha mayonnaise, and arugula and chive dew. Boy, was it good! I almost ordered another one, but I knew we had plenty of food coming.
Lobster bisque soup with watercress dressing and ginger with ciabatta bread. Excellent flavors, and my husband enjoyed it.
The salad was fresh, crispy, and bursting with flavor. The silk road salad was served with endives, figs, arugula, cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, baked beets
And roasted walnuts all served with honey vinaigrette. Everything was fresh and well-balanced, and yes, it tasted as good as it sounds. All three of us enjoyed it. I could go for one right now!
Now onto the dinners; my daughter played it safe, unlike her, and ordered mini burger sliders with fries. They were pretty good but nothing special. She also ordered Harry's macaroni with six cheese. It was cheesy and tasty.
I ordered the prawns served with green grape and almond gastrique, purple cabbage, aubergine puree. The prawns were giant. The entire dish was bursting with flavors. It did not disappoint. I also ordered a side of roasted asparagus and garlic butter mashed potatoes. Both good, but again nothing fancy.
My husband went to the Alaskan King Crab - Origin: ALEUTIAN ISLANDS and served with lemon, clarified butter, habanero tartar sauce, and crackers. He also ordered a side of Harry's potatoes; cheesy chopped potatoes.
For dessert, we ordered Harry's pie, a homemade macadamia nut ice cream, Oreo ® cookie base, and melted chocolate. Omg, this was so good!! The macadamia nut ice cream set the pie off. It was the best part and was paired nicely with the Oreo cookie base. There was nothing left of it.
After we were finished, our waiter brought out a HUGE complimentary pink cotton candy. My daughter was in heaven. We didn't need it since we ordered dessert, but it was a pleasant surprise.
We would come back to Harry's. The atmosphere, the view, the service, and the food were outstanding! Fine dining at its best but also a costly elusive bill. I can honestly say this was the most expensive dinner I have ever had. We've done costly, but this was the top for the three of us. The cost for my husband, my daughter (who had sliders), and I was almost 600 American dollars, basically for two adults and a child, but it was so delicious. read more
