Great diner feeling place with noise, busy, fast, inexpensive and good food. I have been here a few times and each time is a good meal. It is usually busy and loud but that just means people like the place. Our orders always have plenty of food that is fresh and well prepared. Nothing super fancy or gourmet but just good tasting diner food. Customer service is no frills, place your order at the counter and get your food delivered to your table. All business but very friendly and helpful when needed. We will be back here when in the area.

Whenever I'm in town, I make a stop at Harry's for their zucchini fries. Always fresh and crispy.

We made a pit stop here on our way to Big Bear back in February. This cafe has a lot of items on the menu! It was a little overwhelming, but I ended up choosing the club sandwich. It's a fast casual place, so you order at the counter and they bring out the food to your table. They cut my club sandwich into fours, so it was easy to eat. The sandwich was great and service was quick and friendly. My friends just got some fries, which needed some salt. The other items on their menu looked pretty good- I saw some of them pass by our table!

I've been coming to Harry's for years and honestly it's always been a well rounded place. I always expect good food and decent prices and good customer service. It has a very homey vibe to it and it's a staple of good hood food.

So we went back to Big Fish Market again…read more We got our usual catfish and filet of sole order. We like to do takeout and put our own homemade sides. Our phone order was ready when promised and I was out shortly after entering. When you order the sole you can choose from medium or crisp for finish. We got medium. And most pieces are big. Everything is tasty. They have a few tables and a TV, if you want to dine in. It's not crowded and the noise level isn't a problem. I placed my order and was given an estimate of fifteen minutes. If possible, it would be better to call ahead. The seafood came out fresh and steaming, while my mac salad had clearly been portioned in advance. *Fried Oysters: these were on the smaller side and had a rather neutral taste. The breading was light and seemed to lean toward a cornmeal mixture. There was not much flavor overall, so the oysters depended heavily on the sauce. The spicy tartar sauce had a nice zing, though I wished lemons had been included. *Mac Salad: not my favorite version. The macaroni was quite bland and noticeably firm. It lacked the creaminess I expected and the seasoning relied almost entirely on the relish, which made the dish very sweet and sour. I was not able to finish the container. The seafood was acceptable but nothing about the freshness or flavor truly stood out. I would eat it if it were placed in front of me--just not the mac salad.

DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO TRY THE FOOD…read more Unfortunately, the service is what made us walk out, which really sucks because we were genuinely looking forward to eating here. When we walked in, the restaurant was noticeably dirty, and the only clean table available had buckets placed underneath it to catch rain leaking from the roof. We initially sat at the first table near the door since it was the cleanest option, but because it was cold and raining, we asked if we could move to a different table and requested that it be cleaned, as it still had the previous customers' mess on it. Keep in mind, before we moved, the waitress handed us a jug of water and two cups, which we brought with us to the new table after it was cleaned. Once we sat down and began looking at the menu, she came back and took the water and cups from us -- which was honestly confusing and uncomfortable. We probably should've said something in the moment, but like most people, we assumed it would be addressed when she returned. That wasn't the end of the experience. While she was clearing our table, a larger party arrived after us and was seated. Not only did they have their order taken before ours, but I also noticed another party who arrived after them being helped as well. I hate to bring this up because I understand how stressful service jobs can be, but the waitresses also had an overall attitude that made us feel unwelcome. At that point, we finally had enough and decided to walk out. We're genuinely pretty laid-back people and usually very understanding, especially when places are busy. However, the restaurant wasn't busy, and there didn't seem to be any clear reason for the way things were handled. I hate to bring this up because I know service jobs can be stressful, but the waitresses had an overall attitude that made us feel unwelcome. Because of all this, we finally had enough and decided to walk out. To be honest, we may come back in the future, but even though the food looked amazing, the service was simply too poor to stay. For now, this earns 2 stars.

Olía a orina y vómito. Huyan, literalmente vayan a otro lugar. If I could give zero stars, I would. The condition of this place was extremely concerning..... the smell inside was overwhelming and made it hard to even stay long. URINE, THROW UP. We had already ordered food but due to the environment, I didn't feel comfortable eating it at all. When I raised my concerns and refused the order, I was told I still had to pay. We hadn't even touched it they were still making it. The situation escalated to the owner, who responded in a dismissive and sarcastic way, insisting we were responsible for the bill regardless of the circumstances because they don't "give her the food for free" . Although the server herself was polite, the overall experience was unacceptable. We ended up paying just to leave as quickly as possible, and the food ultimately went in the trash because it didn't feel safe to eat. The plastic bag that they put the food in was even penetrated with the smell. Spending $80 on food that you can't even bring yourself to eat is incredibly frustrating. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. Expensively GROSS, 80$ in the TRASH. RUN literally go somewhere else. Not worth it. Calling the local health department because someone needs to close this place down. They actually have multiple health code violations in regard to their plumbing which clearly states can cause contamination. They also failed to provide proper ventilation in the restroom and in the kitchen which means the air is being recycled in that whole restaurant. No AC no ventilation. Literally a sauna of sewage smells like throw up and pee.

On the other, the front-of-house operations--and occasional textural missteps--remind you that potential is not always performance. The atmosphere leans into the festive spirit typical of a family-style marisquería, but the true test, as always, lies in the molcajete. I opted for the Molcajete Azteca, a bubbling cauldron of surf-and-turf ambition. In terms of protein, the kitchen largely succeeds. The steak was a highlight--expertly seared, yielding a tenderness that often eludes similar establishments where "chewy" is the norm. The chicken followed suit, absorbing the savory depths of the broth without losing its own identity. However, the chorizo introduced a disappointing inconsistency. While this particular serving was crisp and savory--providing that necessary textural crunch against the melting cheese--I have noted in the past that this element can arrive unpleasantly soft and under-rendered. A dish of this complexity relies on every component firing on all cylinders; a limp chorizo can dampen the entire experience. That said, the Molcajete Azteca is rescued, perhaps even elevated, by its sauce. The Salsa Negra is the undeniable star here--a dark, brooding concoction packed with umami and a lingering heat that ties the disparate proteins together. It is a sauce that demands to be mopped up with a tortilla, showcasing the kitchen's ability to build deep, complex flavor profiles. On the colder side of the spectrum, the Ceviche Chiltepin offered a sharp, refreshing counterpoint. The heat from the chiltepin peppers was assertive--bordering on aggressive--but appropriate for the varietal. It is not a dish for the faint of heart. The addition of mango was a stroke of brilliance; its tropical sweetness cut through the capsaicin and acidity, creating a harmonious balance that kept the palate engaged rather than overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the dining experience was marred by "ok" service that lacked the polish one hopes for. While there were no disastrous errors, the cadence of the meal was interrupted by a lack of attentiveness. We found ourselves reminding the staff of missing sides--a basic logistical failure--and our glasses sat empty far too often. In a cuisine this spice-forward, the absence of drink refills is not just an oversight; it is a discomfort. Recommended Dishes: Molcajete Azteca (ask for the chorizo crispy), Ceviche Chiltepin.
