We came here in search of a burger to cure a hangover and to be right next to the water. Done and done. I ordered the Baja Burger- pepper jack cheese and avocado?Yes please! We also ordered the BBQ burger with pulled pork on it. For drinks we had sweet tea and a Margarita. What was great about our experience: the service, the view, the stuffed animals on the inside, the ginormous waters, the sweet potato fries. Opportunities for improvement: the food was slow and there weren't a lot of people there, the coleslaw and sweet tea were mediocre, one of the BBQ burgers was ordered as medium rare but was more rare than medium rare, the margarita wasn't thrilling (although I did like the green salt. This was our 3rd time here and we had excellent seats with a water view, we ordered the tuna dip and 3 dip appetizer which were all good. The waiter was great, it was busy but not too crazy we didn't have to wait to be seated either. We decided to split the Fanta-sea dish between the 4 of us, it's that much food! It comes with 2 lbs of steamed shrimp, 1 lb of mussels, corn, potatoes, and snow crab clusters all dripping in delicious garlic butter! My main disappointment was the price, we came here last year and the dish was around $130 This year it jumped to $175, it was also missing the bread and the main dish came out at the same time as our appetizers, this is so irritating. It is a lot of food but the $40 price increase is too much in my opinion and this year it was a little over cooked and we definitely had a bigger portion last year, not sure if it was due to COVID but we were disappointed with the change, this is one of our favorite spots but that price increase was a little much, otherwise we were happy with our drinks and the rest of the meal. read more

LOVED eating at Harry T's while visiting Destin. Me being the foodie that I am, I had to find a great place to sit down for some grub and drinks. My cousin (who is the shit!) suggested we try eating here. Harry T's is huge, lots of seating inside and out. Of course we had to sit outside and stare at the Gulf the whole time, and that's exactly what I would do again. Looking at the white sandy beaches, watching pelicans fly by, seeing beautiful boats head out to fish, it's a great spot to sit, eat, drink, and watch. Our waitress was super nice, and very attentive. We just finished a Jet ski Dolphin Tour at XtremeH2O, so we were hungry, and parched. She asked what we would like to drink, and I noticed a HUUUUUUGE Margarita with a Corona bottle in it. SIGN ME UP!!!!!! By the way, it was awesome and very good. Next time, we're going to have 2!! I have NEVER ordered Fish Tacos before. Harry T's had some fresh Mahi Mahi, and considering we're so close to the water, I would've felt guilty getting a burger as usual. I am SO glad I got the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, they were DELICIOUS. I opted for the fried Vs the grilled (guilty pleasure), and it mixed extremely well with the cabbage and fish taco sauce. The sauce was tangy, and that's what really set the hook (see what I did there? get it?) I woofed it down so fast, that when I was done, I was sad that I didn't snap a picture for my review. This is an awesome place for happy hour. All drinks are half off - all drinks. The only caveat is that this is for the downstairs bar only. You can also stop in and get half off drinks and walk around Harbor Walk. Happy hour is from 12 - 7 Monday through Friday. The only drawback is their liquor assortment is limited to wide assortment of traditional liquors, no unusual liquor for raft cocktails. read more

This place like all the other restaurants located along the harbor had a really good patio view. Our server was really nice and very attentive to our needs. The food proportions were pretty good and our entrees were tasty. Definitely not the best food I've ever had, especially for the price point, But I expected these types of places to be more pricey in regard to quality of food. Side note, the water is going to be unfiltered tap water which is really nasty so you may just want to order a drink of some sort. Even lemon won't dumb down that flavor. read more

LOVED Harry T's! My main motivation for trying it was a need for pet friendly seating and boy are they! Outside of the front door they have a stuffed dog sitting next to a bowl of treats and a bowl of ice water. They have four high top tables outside on the dock that are strictly for patrons with pets. I saw a few visitors upset over the fact that they couldn't sit right next to the water because they didn't have a pet...but as a pet parent fanatic I was thrilled. The ONLY thing that annoyed me here were the people walking down the docks who would come stand next to our table, in the shade provided over our table, in front of the fan for Harry T's guests to cool down because they were just passing through or waiting on a boat. Ugh, HELLO we're paying guests! Without even asking the waiters bring a bowl of water and some treats for the furbabies. That helped keep our puppy occupied while we ate. Day 1: We ordered, Lobster Nachos-loaded with delicious toppings, plenty of lobster chunks and yummy cheese sauce Shrimp tacos: I ordered the shrimp tacos with blackened shrimp instead of fried.Served in flour tortillas with cabbage and a zippy sauce they were wonderfully fresh and delicious. Loved the chips and salsa with it instead of fries. Perfect meal for a hot summer day sitting right on the turquoise water. Popcorn shrimp: My picky eater ordered popcorn shrimp. Hard to make this meal special but he loved the beer battered fries. Day 2: We came back to Harry T's the very next day for lunch after Margaritaville gave us the run around about being dog friendly. They were happy to have us back :-) Bacon Cheeseburger: Hubby ordered the burger which is served on a pretzel bun. He was apprehensive about the pretzel bun but said it didn't taste too much like a pretzel so he still enjoyed it. Grilled Mahi Mahi Sandwich: I ordered the Mahi sandwich which came with those delicious beer battered fries. The blackened Mahi was served on a Gambino's french roll and was very much like a Po'boy. Very good! My husband had a Coronarita and I had Flying Harry T. My drink was very good-not too sour and rimmed with orange sugar. When visitors stop at Harry T's, the mood is irrefutably touristy. Nice bay view, large venue, always crowded, and mixed service. The value of the food is not great. Mediocre food for larger than mediocre prices. The first time I came here the waiter was so pushy and obnoxious I just didn't order anything and sat until my friends finished their meals. Think his name was Alex. Am I really THAT spoiled by LA? The second and third times were better. Pricey food in general. $10 for a dessert, $20 per entree, and nothing spectacular. They have bottomless mimosa brunch on the weekend where for extra $11 and purchase of food, you can get bottomless mimosas but if you want to sit outside it's an hour wait!! WTF. To their credit, the champagne server was very on top of her refills. Not so much for the orange juice that our server brought out. He only gave us 2 half cups of orange juice, so basically we were just drinking champagne. read more

I am a tourist and therefore do not mind "touristy" activities/restaurants/whatever. Harry T 's fits the touristy bill for sure. Under normal circumstances I would probably give this place 3 stars due to how expensive the menu is but a few things made our experience unique, if you will: 1) We needed a beverage before our dolphin cruise started but didn't want to pay a fortune. HAPPY HOUR at the bar will get you half price drinks (anything!) and a decent selection of $4.95 food items (wings, nachos, sliders, onion rings, pizza). Happy Hour runs 11am-6pm Monday-Friday. It started pouring down rain so the cruise was canceled and needless to say we were able to eat and drink pretty cheap for quite a bit of time. 2) Upstairs deck/patio is awesome! They do put up plastic window type coverings but it is still pretty wet and chilly, depending. Awesome views and fun atmosphere though! 3) Staff could not be more friendly. Bartender was great, very personable and gave some recommendations of where to find bakeries (I wanted a cupcake, haha!) and other attractions. One of the cooks came out to the bar and was letting people try oysters. Overall a super nice staff. 4) Clean restrooms! While pricey, Harry T 's is a fun joint to try. Food probably won't blow you away but the fun atmosphere is worth it. read more

Now I will say it was already dark when we got there for dinner but hey I live in Dallas where the closest beach is 300 miles away...I'll take any opportunity to stare into water even if it's at night! Our waitress was attentive and so sweet. After she learned we were from out of town, she offered to take pictures (multiple times actually) before I even have the chance to ask her. Smoked tuna dip appetizer was very tasty and HUGE. We split the Destin Seafood Platter which was delicious and definitely enough food for two people. So we got here wanting to grab dinner, but decided to check out the bar first. I had the bloody mary which of course came with a pickled side salad in the drink, so I'd say that was a pretty solid win. After the drinks we got a table and settled in for dinner. The waitress was nice and after some time we ordered dinner. Ma got the bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp (barf lol) and I got the Ruben. Here is an honest account of both. Mom said her dish was good but "very rich". It came with six and only three were eaten. The collard sides were OK and she said the cole slaw was bland (whomp whomp) :/ The Ruben was good. Good ratio of meat to sauerkraut but it needed more dressing, personal preference. So overall good place, pricey, touristy, but a once in a while treat. Wow, what an unremarkable little place. Good real estate, of course, with outdoor dining on the water, and in the tourist trap HarborWalk development. We ate during sunset, and the weather was great. But jeez, you'd think they would try. From the moment I saw the menu, I could tell that there was nothing that interested me, unless I wanted to pony up $30 or more for a single entree. So I decided to play it safe with the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, and let some food budget live to fight another day. It wasn't safe enough. I ate half of it. I came here on Christmas and appreciated that it was one of the few places open. The reason I am giving this 4 stars is because the hostess sat us outside by the bussing station and further from a view. Before I had the chance to ask for the table with a view the party sat after us got that table. Instead we ended up moving to the bar and had a great experience there. The bartender was really nice and allowed us to try different beers before ordering. We split the coconut shrimp and the onion rings- which was the perfect amount and not too expensive compared to some of the other items. read more

AVOID. After having stellar dinners at other seafood restaurants in the area, we chose to try Harry T's since we were at Harborwalk. The ambience was really nice, because it's on the port and has great views. That was the only positive in the review. The waitress was awful, she said "I will be taking care of you" when greeting us. This could not have been further from the truth. She disappeared more than David Copperfield in the 80's. She brought zero cocktail or tartar for the fish and shrimp dishes. I had to ask, and I am a bit of a cocktail sauce fiend, she brought one 4oz container that had 1 oz of sauce in it. Instead of tartar she brought my wife a container of ranch. Does not pair well with fish, if you're wondering. We waited a long time for for her to show up again to get tartar, it finally arrived on one of her very few visits. As far as food, it is basically a step down from Long John Silvers and it is overpriced in comparison to the quality seafood at other oceanfront locations. Will not eat here again, if you do please be forewarned. After finding the hostess to retrieve our waitress to pay, we made it out of there about 30 minutes after we finished our meal. read more

The best thing about Harry T's is the view. The service is second to that and we always have a great experience when we go. We always sit outside to enjoy the view and breeze and it has never been too crowded where we have to wait at all. The food is way overpriced but it is a tourist spot and you expect it. The portions are generous and compared to the other tourist like spots, they seem to have the best seasoned food so far. Parking can be a pill since they are at the Harbor Village but we have never had an issue finding parking in the garage. read more

My friends and I went here on a weekend get-away where we drank a lot and did a 5k. It was a lot of fun. Anyway about the restaurant itself. The view is beautiful because you are right up against the ocean. I love Destin - it is probably one of my favorite vacation spots. The food was great. I had the Tuna steak and it was delicious. It didn't taste "fishy" which is great because even though it sounds weird that isn't what I want when I order fish. The portion was huge and they cooked it the way that I like. Also we all decided to get a drink off of their specialty drinks menu and I got the Hooch Pooch. It was a giant mason jar full of booze. There was a glowing ice cube that I took home and an upside down Giraffe stirrer which when I was already kind of drunk from drinking all day I kept laughing at because it was upside down. Go home Giraffe you're drunk - was probably said more times than it really was funny. Anyway the drink was really tasty and again full of booze. I got two of them not realizing how expensive they were. I was mad so I took the whole drink with me - jar included which apparently is acceptable behavior in Florida. I had a great time and only good memories are associated with this place. We also go dessert and their key lime pie was amazing. My sisters and I were in town for the weekend. Everything was great, the food and service. The only issue i personally had was the server Sabiana. She stole a tip from me. I initially gave her a tip before closing out our tickets. After enjoying our Karaoke performances we needed another round of drinks and ice. Sabiana never returned, even after another server informed her that her presence was needed. Since she didn't return, we decided to rescind our tip. I scratched mine out and initialed that i scratched it out. She closed out the ticket and added her tip. I reported it to her manager and my credit union. Other than that we had a great time. I eat here a good bit as a local and decided to finally type up a review. This is my favorite place in Destin to watch NFL games. The blackened redfish is the best thing to get on the menu. The bar staff is great and never made me a bad drink. Smores for dessert is a fun experience and the ice cream sundae is just as good. read more
