I celebrated my first Mother's Day here this past weekend!! I'm finally part of the cool club! Lol my husband, our baby and I all sat outside on the patio. We went around 9am and there were still a couple of tables open thank God, I was expecting it to be packed. We were immediately greeted and our server came shortly after to take our order. The food was delicious and I could not stop eating it. The steak was cooked to perfection, the home fries were crispy and the eggs were perfectly poached. I had such a great experience here, I can't wait to eat here again!

It's a joy to give this place a four-star rating. The service is top-notch, and the food is bursting with flavor. After spending time in the Midwest, returning home to Rhode Island was a treat, especially for the deliciously seasoned home fries. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and you can never go wrong with Italian toast. Best breakfast or brunch in Rhode Island hands down. I almost forgot to mention the fresh hot cup of coffee and KENO!

Ladies and gents, gather 'round and let me tell you about the unparalleled breakfast brilliance that is Harriet's Kitchen. Now, I fancy myself somewhat of a breakfast aficionado, and after devouring brunches far and wide, Harriet's remains unbeaten. Imagine a world where every other breakfast joint becomes a mere hors d'oeuvre to the main course of Harriet's. Yep, that's the world I'm living in. When it comes to my regulars, it's always a toss-up between the lip-smacking #12, the Croissant Sandwich--a delightful medley of scrambled egg, cheese, and your choice of meaty goodness. Pair that with their home fries, and don't be shy; ask 'em crispy and deep-fried, just as I do. And if I'm feeling adventurous? The Hash Benedict sweeps me off my feet every time. Picture this: English muffin, corned beef hash, two poached beauties (that's eggs, my friend), slathered in Hollandaise sauce. And yes, those crispy home fries are non-negotiable! The Mrs.? She's all in for the Harriet's Special - two eggs, toast, and those unforgettable home friends...err, I mean, fries! As for my little one? The Mickey Mouse pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar are her jam. Cute fact: she nibbles the ears first, every time! The ambiance? Classic Rhode Island! It's that cozy corner where everyone knows your name and, heck, probably your order too! The charm isn't just in the air; it's in every plate, every smile. Speaking of smiles, a big shoutout to Harriet's top-tier servers--always on the ball and ever-so-delightful. You'll feel the owners' presence--they're hands-on, ensuring impeccable service every single time. I've been a loyal patron for a whopping 14 years, and I've evangelized Harriet's gospel to many. Honestly? I see a lifetime of breakfasts here, right till my twilight years. In the race for the best breakfast and brunch in the state, Harriet's Kitchen isn't just running; they're soaring! P.S. A wee bit of wisdom for newcomers: if it's packed (and trust me, it often is), brace yourself for a bit of outdoor waiting. No fancy reservation list here--just an old-school, honor-based queue. And communication's key; it's a dance of nodding and smiling, figuring out who's next. To sum it up? Harriet's Kitchen isn't just a breakfast joint--it's a Rhode Island legend!!!

I hadn't been to Harriet's in at least 20 years. But the food is just as delicious as I remember. The service was great and even though there were tons of "regulars" coming in and out while we were there, we weren't made to feel like we were out of place or infringing on someone else's territory. It was a great breakfast and a very comfortable experience!! My daughter got the Mickey Mouse pancake (chocolate chip) and I got the eggs Florentine. Both were absolutely delicious. And the home fries were very different (like thinly sliced potatoes) but some of the best I've had in a while!! We'll definitely be back!!

The food is an all-American brunch/ dinner feel. Staff is always friendly and inviting. The place is well kept, beautiful open late spring/ summer outdoor seating your view will be filled with beautiful flowers and daily traffic.

I did a quick #travelsketch of a roadside stall I passed on the way while having my meal.

A wonderful breakfast find while traveling. Welcoming staff and a good cheese and mushroom omelette with bottomless coffee.

This is a great little restaurant on Atwood Avenue in Cranston. On this beautiful November day we decided to celebrate my daughter's birthday with a nice breakfast. They have a nice little outdoor patio that was full due to the great weather. I had a Belgian waffle with warm apples and whipped cream. It was soft, fluffy, and delicious. My kids had omelettes with their signature home fries. Besides breakfast, Harriet's also offers appetizers, sandwiches and burgers. Their prices are very reasonable as well. Masks were worn by the wait staff. Check this place out, it's a great place with delicious food and fast service!

Harriet's Humdinger with ham!

Exceptional: large portions. I had the Harriet's Humdinger with ham and it was huge! I ate a large breakfast and had 2 meals from the leftovers. The person next to me had a bacon omelet and it looked like it had a half pound of bacon in it! She took more than half home also. Good: varied menu for both breakfast and lunch, strong coffee, active take out business. Average: prices were about the same as other sites in the area. Bad: Busy on the weekends, small parking lot, small seating area and small counter.

Old Fashioned sausage gravy and biscuits w home fries. Delicious!

They have the best home fries around! My favorite on their menu is the Old Fashioned. It's sausage gravy and biscuits that comes with a side of the home fries. I also ordered with a fried egg. Can't say I've ever had a bad meal here. Only negative I would say is that it's a small place and gets filled pretty quickly.

Mickey pancakes!

Finally made my way to Harriet's! Enjoyed a great breakfast here in what seemed to be a cheery renovated interior. Tried a veggie omelet which was impressive in size. Also tried blueberry pancakes which did not disappoint! They have a Mickey pancake for kids that my nephew enjoyed :) as far as service goes it was our waitress's first day and she was just wonderful. The food came out on a timely manner and was nice and warm. Loved everything besides their big screen TVs blaring OAN "news". Very pleased with Food and service at Harriet's but please, mind what you you air on TV!!!

check in was quick , easy, and really nice. Located a couple miles from the PVD airport. This hotel…read morewas once a fruit of the loom factory converted into a modern hotel, concrete walls modern vibe. Price off season was $115 and a good deal. I think this is one of the nicer airport hotels. Restaurant on site and cookies in the lobby.

First time here and it's a decent property. What held back from higher rating were maintenance…read moreissues, the layout for the driveway and the finishes in the room. Upon arrival the room was at 68 (below 30 outside) soooo turned that sucker up. Put it on 74 and thought it would warm up overnight. Arrived pretty late, after 11pm. To my suppose the room was still at 68. And getting out of a warm bed to that was not my idea of a good morning. I called the front desk and the agent confirmed I was using the right thermostat to control the temp and noted that maintenance would check it. That was fixed as when I returned it was a nice balmy 76! Downside though was the unit did an odd cycling thing with warm air....cold air...warm air. So it never shut off at night and tan the entire time. Their drive way is odd, one way only and Tuesday morning there was a delivery truck blocking the exit. Thankfully no one else was behind us so we were able to back out. The room felt very industrial. Concrete walls and high ceilings, with an almost open concept bathroom. Barn door and the shower was a waterfall (over head) with hand held option thankfully. If you've got curtly hair, you know why a waterfall shower is the worst. And to ere was no shower cap as an option. The shower itself did not go all the way to the ceiling which also meant there was no barrier between you and the room. If share with a partner may not be bad but with friends, that's a nightmare. Other downside was the lock was funky. When leaving for dinner, thank goodness I checked the lock as it did not lock. I had to open the door and mess with it to finally lock. All in all decent hotel however I can't say I'd stay again.
