For nearly an hour the same spot on my shoulder got massaged. Supposed to be a full body massage. Nothing done on the legs. Again, I was left on the table while they took off to do something. I got up, got my stuff and asked to speak to someone who could understand. They wanted to charge me for a full massage, but I explained them that I didn't get one. Ended up forcing me to pay $38 for nothing. Last couple of times at this place, the massages have been less and less competent. Should not be that way.

I am leery of trying new walk in massage places because I am nervous if it could be a "sketchy" place but this one was very nice and I believe it is a reputable business. I am extremely stressed and really pampered myself with a 2hr body massage/foot combo (cash price was 123.60 I believe, it's discounted for cash). I felt very comfortable with the ladies there and didn't mind removing g my clothing for my massage with oil. The masseuse kept checking on me to make sure I was comfortable and not cold or in pain. I have quite a few medical issues and scars and she kept making sure she wouldn't do anything to hurt me. She was a lil nervous to massage my swollen foot but I assured her she wouldn't hurt me, it's an old injury from a car wreck and so she continued massaging. She did make recommendations to help me, she said I should have acupuncture and cupping, I gathered she was saying there was a guy there that does it but I did not want to do that. When I was finished with my massage which automatically included oil, hot stones and hot towels I felt relaxed and pain free (that's very rare for me!) at the counter to pay they gave me a cup of barley tea. The other woman that was there said it has health benefits. I don't know what but it was interesting. I was made fun of and laughed at by three of their employees and informed that I had to tip 20%-25% and no less (I tipped all I could afford right now - it was the very best I could do). There are lots of great massage places in Lubbock that will appreciate your business. A+ Massage doesn't deserve your business.

Was told I couldn't use both (I would have to give one away) because they had been bought by the same credit card. Yes, they were, because we used one credit card for all Christmas purchases. I had booked a second appointment (at my own expense since told I couldn't use both certificates) but had to cancel the day before my appointment because of illness. I called back the morning of to make sure manicurist received the message. Several weeks later, I receive an email from Living Social that I had not used my second certificate. I called the salon for two weeks, trying to reach manicurist and finally talked to someone else. I was then told that I could use the certificate for a facial or massage. Later that evening (about 7:45 pm.) I received a very rude and demeaning phone call from the manicurist telling me I had forfeited my certificate for not canceling within 24 hours. How can you forfeit something that wasn't being used because SHE said I couldn't???? She said I had not been trying to reach her that this was the only call she had received....funny that she received it ONLY after I spoke with someone else and did not leave the message directly on her extension!!!!!
