I am leery of trying new walk in massage places because I am nervous if it could be a "sketchy" place but this one was very nice and I believe it is a reputable business. I am extremely stressed and really pampered myself with a 2hr body massage/foot combo (cash price was 123.60 I believe, it's discounted for cash). I felt very comfortable with the ladies there and didn't mind removing g my clothing for my massage with oil. The masseuse kept checking on me to make sure I was comfortable and not cold or in pain. I have quite a few medical issues and scars and she kept making sure she wouldn't do anything to hurt me. She was a lil nervous to massage my swollen foot but I assured her she wouldn't hurt me, it's an old injury from a car wreck and so she continued massaging. She did make recommendations to help me, she said I should have acupuncture and cupping, I gathered she was saying there was a guy there that does it but I did not want to do that. When I was finished with my massage which automatically included oil, hot stones and hot towels I felt relaxed and pain free (that's very rare for me!) at the counter to pay they gave me a cup of barley tea. The other woman that was there said it has health benefits. I don't know what but it was interesting. This parlor was kinda low scale but I wasn't there for the décor , only a good massage. After undressing , she came in and wanted to get the bill settled before the massage. She handed me my bill for the $48.00 I was quoted plus a $20 tip. I told her I thought that was rather excessive and also tips are earned not guaranteed. Had I been dressed I would have left but instead I offered her a $10 tip. She told me that $15 was the minimal on tips. Reluctantly I agreed and proceeded with the massage which was alright but nothing to write home about. I have never gone back. There is many parlors in Lubbock that are nicer with great massages for the prices these people try to extort from people.
