This food hall is massively huge and has a great variety of options for those who are seeking some much needed Sustenance on those crazy Carowinds days! They had a few options but I just kinda went for the pizza pasta section as that's just what sounded good for what was good! Their pasta wasn't bad it was alright but the breadstick definitely made it better when thrown more sauce around in it but what I definitely enjoyed here was their pizza as it was actually pretty good for park pizza as most of them just aren't that great! You get a big slice of pie with a breadstick I was happy about it and enjoyed the slice even more so when I found I could get a cup of nacho cheese to add to my already cheesy pizza slice because why not! What else was scrumptious was that marshmallow cereal square I had like oh it was full of sugar cinnamon to make it yummy tell the last bite before I decided to take on that slice of berry cheesecake that was just as good for sweet yummies! Next time I come here I'll have to try a different section of the food hall but as it is the pizza is good and you can watch some live entertainment wile you eat so you really can't go wrong! Don't forget to show your season pass for a discount off your purchase! Overall this a good eatery inside Carowinds that has options for everyone as well as an abundance of Coke Freestyle machines!

    Live bands too!

Ok, my rating takes into consideration that this is theme park food, but for theme park food, this is the best place to eat in carowinds. I forgot to take a pic, but very generous portions, food looks like in the picks and many healthy options. Nice big well air conditioned hall and live music occasionally along with cooking demos. We're on the meal plan and this is the best spot with so many options from pasta, pizza, chicken quesadilla, ribs, pulled pork, fresh made salads to order and sandwiches.

My girlfriend and I decided to eat at Twin Peaks and overall had a really good experience. The…read moreatmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a sports lodge--tons of TVs everywhere so you can catch every game, but with that rustic outdoor theme too. Mounted game fish, moose, and deer heads give it that hunting-lodge vibe, which actually makes it a fun place to hang out and watch sports. We started with the Billionaire Bacon appetizer--six slices of bacon described as thick-cut, hickory-smoked and candied with brown sugar, red chile flakes, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne. The flavor description was accurate, but the bacon itself really wasn't thick-cut and could've been much crispier. For the price, I expected better. If it had been thicker and crispy, it might've been worth it, but I probably won't order that again. My girlfriend ordered the Southwest Salad, and that dish absolutely delivered. It was a heaping portion topped with perfectly cooked sliced sirloin steak and shrimp, plus mixed greens, carrots, pico de gallo, roasted corn, black beans, pepper jack, and a jalapeño honey vinaigrette. She absolutely loved it. She also got a side of coleslaw, which was surprisingly delicious and a great addition to the meal. She paired everything with the Dirty Blonde beer, which definitely made up for the disappointing appetizer. I went with the naked garlic Parmesan wings and a side Caesar salad. Both were delicious. The wings were fried perfectly--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside--and the flavor was spot on. I was very satisfied with them. Service was great as well. We actually had two servers because one was in training, and both of them were attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. Overall, I'd rate our experience a 4.5 out of 5. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all really good, and we had a fun time. If not for the underwhelming Billionaire Bacon, this would've easily been a full 5. We'll definitely be back--just skipping that appetizer next time.

It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

I've heard rave reviews about this place so Michelle & I went for Sunday Brunch…read more They recommended a reservation so we had one @ 12n. It was already quite busy when we arrived and it's not clear where your parking options are. People are pulling up to the entrance and dropping people off so it gets jammed up and chaotic, of course people are running late so those BIG Yukons and Suburbans are making it a challenge to navigate a small entrance area. You would THINK they would at least have a Valet option of Sat/Sun during Brunch. To park, go BEHIND the restaurant on the street to the left and you'll see some free parking options that are close and walkable. We asked for a table on the patio and were immediately seated. The bar was already buzzing with solo diners enjoying their Mimosas. The patio is NOT that big, a little over crowded and table are very close with not much space in between. There was a LARGE group of 'FUN' ladies right beside us enjoying their MIMOSAS, dropping the 'F' bomb from time to time and making a LOT of noise. What can you do? Nothing but try to make the best of it and just start talking LOUDER like everyone else. The OVERHEAD heaters were way too intense so the Staff was very responsive at our request to turn down the heat. We shared the BBQ Shrimp Starter which was SO good, I highly recommend. I had the Gumbo and Michelle had the beet and goat cheese salad. We both had the Red Fish which comes with smashed potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes were so BLAND, the broccoli had NO seasoning. The Red Fish wasn't that great of a flavor and not very tender, not easy to cut, had to use my knife at times to get a bite. Kinda disappointed, I lived in N Orleans for a couple of years and it was always so good there. The biggest disappointment was the Gumbo. It had all the right ingredients but the ROUX was to strong, dark and heavy. It actually gave me indigestion afterwards. The service was OUTSTANDING. Our Server was Daylean, she was so nice and helpful with the menu and kept our refills coming.

My husband ordered the homemade meatloaf sandwich with coleslaw. We shared a hummus appetizer. Overall, the food was good. My husband really liked his meatloaf sandwich. My classic turkey sandwich was a bit underwhelming for the price. I think $17.99 for an ordinary turkey sandwich is a lot since the cheese wasn't even melted, nor was the bread toasted. My husband's meatloaf sandwich was $19.99 and his sweet tea was $3.99. The hummus appetizer, which was a few mouthfuls for two people to share, was $5.00. Our bill was a whopping $59.00 and some change, including tip. We skipped dessert. I think a little piece of cake was around $15.99. If we choose to return I'd order something else to justify the price. The atmosphere is nice and our server was pleasant. I'd say try it out if you're in the neighborhood.

We came on a Saturday brunch time, it was busy, I saw that they have table available, but the host suggested to sit in the bar as she said the service will be faster, then we tied to sit down there aren't any two seats available together then she gave us a table. Once we seated, we didn't have any one come to us, we have to ask where is our waitress? The waitress that came for our service, we realize that the waitress was someone passed by us couple of times already, she didn't greet us or anything. But once she greeted us, it was ok service. It must be someone from management didn't let her know about the table or they are under staff. Another thing I noticed is that while we are eating, the table was not reset properly, it was missing silverware and the customers have to ask for it after their food came out. As a big group that owes many restaurants, they didn't seem to care to reply any reviews on here. Also the staff at the restaurant is not bad, just seems to have issues with communication. It is sad that food was good but service brought it down.
