Wouldn't go back. Ever. Service at the entry was not friendly AT ALL. Was not welcoming like they were to "others" who entered later. Seemed to segregate servers by race and rude when someone other than our servers brought out appetizers, just plunked our food down on top of a pile of napkins and walked off before we could even say anything. So, used the "Contactus" link on their website, but didn't get a response. So sharing here. We've enjoyed the restaurant/bar in the past, and we've introduced other people to it, but won't be going back anytime soon. We didn't have great service last night. Elise is listed on the receipt as being our server, but I don't remember her introducing herself so not exactly sure that that is her name. What happened? Slow service- 5-10 minutes before a waitress arrived. This also happened to another table. We ordered drinks and food immediately; wine didn't come until I caught waitress' attention, approximately 10 minutes later. Then, someone from the bar came and confirmed my wine order. Then, it was another 5 minutes before I got it. The waitress returned to confirm our order twice, and still it came out wrong- a hamburger was brought out to my husband, instead of the Club sandwich he ordered. (After having been confirmed TWICE!) Didn't get any napkins. Asked for some; waitress didn't bring any. I saw a waiter folding some, so I went and got some from him. Got the bill, and the wine wasn't on it. Service was not great and our burgers were dry and too salty. The best part of the meal was the onion rings.

My bsf lives in Charlotte so we usually find a restaurant off Dave Lyle Blvd as a meeting spot and I thought Hartland would be a good place. They have a good rating on Yelp and Google so I checked the menu out and they have some pretty good options for everyone's food and diet choices. It's a small bar restaurant, reminds me of a smaller Carolina Ale House. They opened at 11 and we got there around 11:15. We didn't take long to order but it did take quite some time for the food to come out and the restaurant had only been opened about 20-30 minutes and that's why I gave 4 stars. Also because it was extremely cold in there. Since it had just opened, I gave some grace for the heat to kick in, but it remained cold the entire time and we were there for 2 hours. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled salmon and a side of sweet potato fries. The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well but the salad was mid. Some pieces of lettuces seemed fresher than others and it was drenched in Caesar dressing. I should have asked for the dressing on the side so I could monitor the amount. All in well it was a 8/10 because the salmon was so good. The sweet potato fries were overcooked and very crunchy but they were still enjoyable. I'd give them about a 7/10. I ordered my bf crab cakes to go and he said they were pretty good, about a 8/10. He said the taste and texture were fairly spot on and tasted fresh. This wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd definitely come here again for a bite to eat and meet my friends for a half way point. read more

Tony and I was waiting on our car to be fixed, so we walked over to the restaurant about 1/4 mile away from garage. We got there when they first opened up. The waitress seated us immediately near the windows in a booth. The restaurant was well decorated, and sports broadcasting on every TV. Tony ordered a Budweiser in a bottle which was on special for $2.50 each and I went with Half-Half Tea with lemon and lime. I hate when tea is barely brewed, because tea should not look like colored water. It should be a darker amber color. We ordered the Tot-chos which was like nachos with cheese, jalapenos, tomatoes, grilled onions and sour cream. We also ordered the Ham, pineapple & cheese flatbread but ended up sending it back because it was barely cooked. It was not very good at all. Since visiting the area and now living in Rock Hill I have been to Hartland's a couple times. Very friendly staff. Definitely has the feel of a "locals" hang out but everyone has always been very friendly. My wife and I just had the wedge salad which was very good and the chili which was superb. I will definitely be including it as one of my "go to" places. read more

Big menu. Service was fast at lunch time. Food was just ok in flavor. Had a chicken parm sandwich with tots. Sandwich was dry, thin chicken breast, bread was good, but dominated the small piece of chicken. Tots were crispy. The chicken Caesar wrap was cooked with the lettuce inside of it so it was soggy with wilted lettuce . The buffalo chicken wrap was so cold the shredded cheese inside wouldn't even melt, soggy from the sauce, and honestly couldn't even tell if there was chicken in it or not. Went on a Friday night and there was DJ. They also hosted a Music Bingo which was fun. There are two entrances, main entrance is where the hostess is, the side entrance is where the patio is. I had a great lunch experience here today. The menu has most all the usual expectations for a sports bar. After looking over the menu, it was a bit of a challenge to decide as nothing really jumped out at me. Jasmine was my server and after talking about the wings being fried and the chicken tenders being fried, I asked what are ya'll known for? She said, she liked the chicken wrap and the BLT so I went with the wrap and was very pleased with that recommendation. Jasmine told me she is not one to say 'everything is good' so that was refreshing. They have live music every Friday night and a patio that would be nice when the weather suits. The waitress was nice but the manager needed an attitude adjustment. He was rude and snippy and kept butting into our conversations. I feel sorry for the employees if they have to deal with him all the time. Food was not the best I have ever had there and it took forever to get our food with only maybe 8 tables tops in the place. It had nice flavor but in my option abit to seasoned. I would also like to note that the meat to bun ratio is terrible. A lot more bun than actual meat. This is such a great gastropub. Tucked away in a corner of a shopping center. This family of successful Mexican restaurants clearly put lots of work into the menu and rustic layout. They have a long assortment of drinks and food unique to this part of town. Here is a bit of what we sampled: Spiced honey mule - a Moscow mule with tequila and ginger beer. Roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon- oh these are divine ! Lobster Mac and Cheese - not bad at all, as cheesy as you'd expect. Chargrilled oysters - these remind me of a New Orleans favorite! Basted with parmesan, garlic and so much yumminess. Pork belly skewers- very good bbq sauce on them. Wedge salad- a plentiful wedge filled with bacon blue cheese, tomato and bacon. We randomly stopped in here while headed to Disney from Ohio. We were staying at a nearby hotel and had a million places to choose from for dinner. We had really good food and were taken care of by the owner, but the kitchen was super backed up. Our total time in the restaurant was almost two hours and we were not happy about that. If you go, plan on a night that's not super busy or he prepared to wait a while for your food. We stared with the Brussels sprouts and then i had the boneless wings and sweet potato fries. The food was very good, loved the Cherry Wine BBQ wings. They were awesome. My first visit was great the staff was awesome and the fish sandwich was delicious. The second time we tried sitting outside but that was a popular place for smoking and we had to move inside and they were very accommodating. The shrimp looked so good but I got the fish it was pretty good, not as good as the sandwich. The 3rd time I got the wing and they were really good. The waitress I had was not very good, she was to get me a sample of the cherry wine sauce and I waited quite a while and then when she returned she did have the sample I got more assistance from the other staff.
