From the…read moreinitial consultation through completion, their team was professional, organized, and easy to work with. Communication was clear and consistent, so we always knew what was happening and what to expect next. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out -- from the cabinetry and countertops to the finishes and overall layout. The crew was respectful of our home, kept the job site clean, and stayed on schedule as much as possible. Any questions or small adjustments were handled quickly and professionally. The final result exceeded our expectations, and our kitchen looks and functions better than we imagined. We would absolutely recommend Wise Builders to anyone considering a kitchen remodel and would gladly work with them again!

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

I would highly recommend Elya as project manager and Golden View renovations. We recently completed…read morea major home renovation project with Elya from Golden View, which involved extending a bedroom into the front porch area and adding a new bathroom within that expanded space. Elya provided a comprehensive and detailed walk-through of the entire project plan upfront. This significant undertaking included foundation work, extensive structural modifications for the new roof and walls, electrical work, painting, and all the final finishes. Golden View quickly prepared the architectural diagrams and designs for the new bathroom, which were presented to us for feedback and were exceptionally well-made. Once the designs were finalized, all materials were promptly ordered and secured, and the plan was submitted to the city for permits. Elya diligently followed up with city authorities and provided regular updates, ensuring the necessary approvals were obtained efficiently. As busy professionals with young children, we are extremely pleased we chose Elya as the project manager. Their exceptional management ensured everything was well-planned, organized, and communicated regularly. The pace of the actual construction was notably faster than we had estimated. We were initially expecting the project to take around six months, but it was completed in just four months--a remarkable achievement in timeline management. This was very critical factor for us right from the begining. The quality of the work and the process itself were both excellent. We continued to live in the house during the renovation, and Elya's team maintained continuous checkpoints at various stages, meaning there were absolutely no major surprises. Any minor issues that arose were addressed immediately. Furthermore, the work site was consistently kept safe and isolated, which was a primary concern for us having two younger children. We always received advance notice about what work was scheduled and if any input was needed from us, allowing us to plan our days accordingly. We highly recommend Elya as a project manager and Golden View Renovations for their professionalism, quality of work, and ability to deliver a complex project significantly ahead of schedule.

Many of the contractors we met with did great work, are knowledgeable, but we selected Golden View because we felt Hugo and his team were the best fit for us. They matched us with the same excitement for the potential of modernizing our kitchen to our needs and we felt they paid the most attention to genuinely honor our wish to increase storage in the kitchen and make it efficient for entertaining. We stressed that the kitchen had to be functional more than beautiful, and they managed to provide us both. Their designer worked so hard to provide us with functional and beautiful designs. We were overwhelmed by the many directions the kitchen design could go and Assel, their designer, presented us detailed options to go through. Their team was also so neat and clean as they worked on the renovation. They kept areas taped up to keep debris from getting into the rest of the house since we were still living in the house while they remodeled the kitchen. We also appreciated the ease of communicating with them at any time. Hugo and his assistant Andrew, both would respond to us. Andrew came out to really take great notes and videos about anything we noticed for touch ups, and it was really well outlined with punchlists to clear the final touch ups. This was a good experience as we heard many of our friends complain about their contractors being hard to find when it came to the final touch up work at the end of a big renovation. Thank you Hugo, Assel, and Andrew. You made this big kitchen model a successful one for us.

Really pleased with how everything turned out! From the start, Zion's quote was more detailed than other contractors we talked to, which gave us a lot of confidence that they truly understood the work involved. The team also worked really well alongside our other third-party contractors and designer, making the whole process feel coordinated and smooth. One thing we really appreciated was how they handled changes along the way. When our requirements shifted, they adapted easily and offered great feedback on ways to simplify our design to save time and money. The team showed up on time each morning, cleaned up before leaving every day, and were always respectful and courteous. They made a point to ask questions and check in to make sure everything was being done to our satisfaction. Their attention to detail showed in the finishing touches, and whenever something wasn't quite right, they were more than willing to fix it. The project finished on schedule and mostly on budget. The final result looks wonderful and the quality is solid (the photos speak for themselves). If you're looking for a reliable team for your remodel, I'd happily recommend Brother & Brother Builders!

There have been multiple unresolved issues with the quality of work and follow-through. One example is an LED light that continues to flicker. It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

From…read morebeginning to end, our points of contact, Avi & Joseph have gone above and beyond for our project, walking us through the planning phases, permitting, design, construction and finishing work of the renovation. They were able to make a normally very stressful process almost stress-free, so much so that all I had to do was say "yes or no" when it came to key decisions. The Construction & More team took lead in the painful parts of dealing with permitting, PG&E, and subcontractors. They also got us in contact with their preferred vendors to help us with discounts on appliances, finishes and other materials we needed to purchase out of pocket. Overall, I found the Construction & More team extremely professional, transparent, organized, communicative and punctual when it came to the end-to-end process. They truly helped guide us through the process so we didn't have any surprises and helped us navigate any hiccups that came up. Normally, construction companies get a bad rap of being dishonest and trying to add in hidden fees and such, but Construction & More is a truly forthcoming and hardworking group of contractors who have your best interest at heart when it comes to your project no matter how big or small. For the process itself, we began with a consultation at our home to walk through the work we wanted the Construction & More team to do. For us, it was a full renovation which included removing a kitchen wall to create an open concept kitchen & living room, adding a mud room, expanding the master bedroom, moving the front and garage doors, as well as moving the ceilings to create a more open space. After the consultation was completed, we met with Avi & Joseph at their office to discuss an estimate and timeline for the work we needed done about (6-months time, pending no delays). Avi & Joseph respected our budget and were upfront and honest of how to stay within the budget and what were non-negotiables that we needed to get done. They really helped us understand what work was critical and what were nice to have to make our living space better. Once we agreed on the work, they promptly sent over a contract for signature, created a whatsapp group for real time communication, and next steps. Overall this initial process took about a week after negotiations and contract reviews. Once construction began, the team coordinated all the work. They made sure that all moving parts were well executed while setting a realistic timeline for the work to be done. All the subcontractors and tradesmen were effectively scheduled, where there wasn't a single day where there was no work being done. I felt that the team ensured that the construction was moving swiftly and the crew was respectful of our space. The crew made sure that our home was properly locked up and cleaned up after each day's work. Additionally, all the detailed finishing work was measured and completed with precision, where all the tiles placed were measured with a laser. As a bonus, the crew was also super respectful to our neighbors which is an extra plus! If you're considering a renovation of any size, but especially a full home renovation, I could not rave more about Construction & More. Their expertise, professionalism, thoroughness and transparency really sets them apart from the competition. I'm extremely grateful and happy with the outcome of our renovation! Good work guys!!

Our project manager was Erick. He explained options clearly and helped us think through tradeoffs. I appreciated his suggestions throughout the project, including the decision to replace the windows. That change was not something we had planned, but it made a real difference in the finished space. The crew was well staffed and productive. When they were on site, progress was steady and visible. The team also handled uncertainty well. At the start, it was not clear how the kitchen exhaust hood would be vented. They worked through the constraints and found a solution that significantly improved airflow and met code. If we raised a concern or felt something missed the mark, it was addressed quickly. Change orders felt fair and were discussed before work moved forward. The project passed San Francisco city inspection on the first visit, which gave us confidence in the quality of the work. Overall, Atlas General Construction delivered a solid kitchen renovation and provided the kind of guidance we needed as first-time remodel clients.

I know hiring a contractor is scary. There's a lot involved and they'll be in your house for an indeterminate amount of time which makes it really important to hire someone you can trust. Tom came out to provide an estimate for our project. He was the only one of the contractors I called that really investigated the existing condtions and repair based on what he could see and his own knowledge. He spent over an hour at the initial call making sure he didn't miss anything and talked through the potential issues and repair. This was his time spent not knowing whether or not we'd hire him. He was also the only contractor to tell me he would only do the work with a permit. Whether or not you think one is needed, just knowing that he wasn't afraid of the permitting or inspection process was a big plus to me. Always ask about permits during the interview process. He then went to his car, drafted an estimate and came back to talk to me about it. I was really impressed at this point. There wasn't any pressure from him to sign on and he encouraged me to ask questions. The estimate was well defined and a bit higher than another bid, but from what I saw I thought it would be worth it. After we signed on, he gave a rough schedule and starting time and said they stay on the job until it's done. We had a list of items to buy and he helped us out there too. He was in constant communications and always responded, even on weekends. Before the work begins, it is pretty easy to promise things to the client while telling your crew something else. When the work actually started, Jesus was our foreman and true to their word, he stayed on the project until completed. They were extremely respectful of our home, carefully protected things and kept the work area clean. During demolition, they found some unforseen things, but took care of it without issue. There were times when they could've easily walked through our house to talk to us, but instead opted to ring the door bell to respect our space. The construction went smoothly and Tom would visit and communicate frequently. He took care of the inspections as well without issue and some other things without charging us, which I appreciated. At the end of the project, we had some concern about the slope of our deck above the office. Tom and his crew came out and fixed it and didn't even mention the final payment until we were happy. Our remodelled office looks amazing. I'd gladly recommend LB Construction for anyone looking for a contractor and will contact them again in the future.
