Communication was clear and consistent, so we always knew what was happening and what to expect next. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out -- from the cabinetry and countertops to the finishes and overall layout. The crew was respectful of our home, kept the job site clean, and stayed on schedule as much as possible. Any questions or small adjustments were handled quickly and professionally. The final result exceeded our expectations, and our kitchen looks and functions better than we imagined. We would absolutely recommend Wise Builders to anyone considering a kitchen remodel and would gladly work with them again!

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

Like many going through the vetting process, consultations feel like a dime a dozen and while Joel of Atlantis Remodeling fell into that category initially, he offered something no other contractor in the area did - an invitation to see his work first hand. As luck would have it, a client had just wrapped up their home expansion and graciously opened it up. It was here, we as a family spoke with the homeowner regarding the experience and expectations all while closely examining the finishes to the design and installation. We understand that we were extremely lucky to have this opportunity, and if there were ever a moment to cement trust and quality of work with us, it was this. Joel's professionalism and expertise truly shined right from the get go. For starters he listened intently to what we were looking for in terms of redoing our entire first floor (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living rooms) and connected us to one of his designers, Mika, to flesh out our vision while working within our budget. After all this was in order, he took it upon himself to give a detailed timeline and breakdown of the phases of the project, removing any assumptions about where we should be at any given time. This alone solidified how right of a choice for us we made. While it's easy to go into lengthy little details, here are the essential highlights of what can be expected when working with Atlantis Remodeling: -Speedy Communication: From consultation to installation, Joel was practically seconds away if we ever needed anything. He would drop by every day to make sure things were going smoothly and that his construction crew had everything they needed for the daily tasks at hand. -Skilled Construction Team: Brayan (the foreman) and his team of 3-6 men were absolute power houses, and arrived promptly at our home at 7:30AM - 5PM, Monday - Saturday to make sure every part of the remodel was done on time. In addition to that, each of them are true tradesman, highlighting each of their crafts in tile laying, electrical, painting, and building and while still being respectful of the space. -Timely Project Management & Adaptability: Like many large projects we experienced the occasional bumps of damaged materials or longer than delayed shipping times. Even with these little hiccups the entire team was able to continue working to move the installations along. We were estimated the project would take 3-4 weeks to complete. And lo and behold, the entire remodel was done in exactly 4 weeks. -Post Remodel Responsiveness: Finding functionality or installation issues after the remodel is not ideal but it happens . The important thing is that once it was brought to Joel's attention, he would get the team as soon as possible to assess, and often solve, these one-offs in a day. To be clear, if finding a high quality, detail oriented and trust worthy contractor is a priority, go with the Atlantis Remodeling team. Not only are they reliable, but continue to be our first choice to help improve our living spaces while still feeling like home.

I hired Prime to renovate my kitchen - countertops, backsplash, cabinets, electrical, freezer, etc…read more They also helped install a new bidet toilet for me. Overall the experience was very good; Elijah and Bryan were super friendly and responsive. Eli was very patient and accommodating as we discussed several different potential change orders, from new windows to painting, to other misc. things that popped up. Bryan Luna was especially a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and proactivity to solve any little thing I mentioned was definitely the highlight of working with Prime. Their contracted electrician, Hector, was great as well. I also think they did a great job building out a cabinet to fit our freezer next to the matching fridge. Their master carpenter managed to salvage our existing wood to make it match perfectly. Definitely better than what I'd expect from even a carpentry specialty contractor. I will mention that it wasn't without some snags. Prime deals in volume so they're very busy. I think because I had delays in sourcing a freezer I ended up not getting a dedicated project manager for some time. We had timeline issues made worse with holidays. This caused cascading delays which inevitably pushed back my move in date a few weeks. When I finally did get a new project manager, they ghosted me (later on I found out they had a family emergency). Eli had to step in again to help. Another thing is that their pricing is quite opaque. The estimate will break down prices by milestones, but they repeated told me that it's not a valuation of the milestone itself. This made it nigh impossible to understand if I wanted to contract out specific pieces of the project (e.g. flooring). Design was OK. I felt that the designer was very busy. Sometimes very responsive (5min replies), sometimes not responsive at all (no reply). I wish I had a better, more thorough back-and-forth session about the intricacies of the design. But we made do. Ultimately, the designer made a render and helped point us to some vendors, but from there we had to make our own selection alone (cabinets, handles, pendant lights, faucets, etc.). I did appreciate her presence when we picked out countertops, though. All in all, I think this was a 4.5 star job, but I'm rounding to 5 because of Eli and Bryan :)

Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

Elya provided a comprehensive and detailed walk-through of the entire project plan upfront. This significant undertaking included foundation work, extensive structural modifications for the new roof and walls, electrical work, painting, and all the final finishes. Golden View quickly prepared the architectural diagrams and designs for the new bathroom, which were presented to us for feedback and were exceptionally well-made. Once the designs were finalized, all materials were promptly ordered and secured, and the plan was submitted to the city for permits. Elya diligently followed up with city authorities and provided regular updates, ensuring the necessary approvals were obtained efficiently. As busy professionals with young children, we are extremely pleased we chose Elya as the project manager. Their exceptional management ensured everything was well-planned, organized, and communicated regularly. The pace of the actual construction was notably faster than we had estimated. We were initially expecting the project to take around six months, but it was completed in just four months--a remarkable achievement in timeline management. This was very critical factor for us right from the begining. The quality of the work and the process itself were both excellent. We continued to live in the house during the renovation, and Elya's team maintained continuous checkpoints at various stages, meaning there were absolutely no major surprises. Any minor issues that arose were addressed immediately. Furthermore, the work site was consistently kept safe and isolated, which was a primary concern for us having two younger children. We always received advance notice about what work was scheduled and if any input was needed from us, allowing us to plan our days accordingly. We highly recommend Elya as a project manager and Golden View Renovations for their professionalism, quality of work, and ability to deliver a complex project significantly ahead of schedule.
