What's in the Blairwitch sandwich .
Gus C.

1st time ever stopping in here. Sat outside on a nice sunny day . Service was good , I ordered the Blairwitch sandwich with coleslaw and my GF got the smash burger with fries . My sandwich is a roast beef sandwich with peppers, onion, cheese and jalapeño. It was very good but WOW was it hot and spicy ! You might want to get the jalapeño on the side. The coleslaw was ok, was a little strong vinegar flavor . My GF smash burger looked great . Double patties. I did try the fries and they were good .

Nestled away just off the main drag of Peterborough, NH is my next gem to share with you: Harlow's Pub. I had been on the road for two days, three flights, and four hours of driving and we decided that a cozy local pub sounded perfect for a bitterly cold New Hampshire night...Harlow's Pub was a winner! The hospitality starts as you walk up from on-street parking: Harlow's is as a home refitted into a business. Catchy exterior lighting and a warm glow from add to your anticipation as you walk up the ramp and to the main entrance off to the side of the building. When you walk through the door, you are immersed in local charm that only comes from a neighborhood place with an authentic history. Decor tells the story of the town and region in a tasteful manner. New England charm sat well with this Chicagoland native and the people watching is great. My wife and I love nachos. We only order them when we think we're at a place that can do the dish justice. Harlow's did not disappoint as our's was made to order with fresh taste and great flavors. There was plenty to share for two ravenous diners or four if sharing light bites before dinner. Props to a great selection of local beers on tap, I had two different IPAs during our meal and enjoyed both well-served pints. Many choices looked good, we opted for the meatball sandwich and the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich with fries. Both choices were solid! Great portions, with some to take home for later snacking. Side salads rounded out our selection and they were every bit as good as our entrees. Pleasant service, super clean bathrooms, and local clientele charm round out the reasons I'll be sure to return to Harlow's Pub next time I'm in Peterborough, NH! If I'm lucky, maybe I'll catch their Open Mic nights or live music! Until next time...TK

Went in the last week of May for a quick bite of lunch and the service was friendly and fun! I had a BLAT that I wished I ordered the bread 'lightly' toasted because it destroyed the roof of my mouth (my fault not theirs) but the bacon was good and so were the burgers! I do agree with some of the comments it took a while for the food to come out. Cozy atmosphere a delightful way to pass the time in the afternoon. Respectfully Reviewed.

Our first time here. A very cool and funky looking restaurant that has what you expect, plus a few vegetarian and vegan options. The beer selection is small, but varied. We walked in and were seated quickly, but due to short staffing we had quite the wait before we were given menus. Then another wait until we put in our drink orders. Then another wait until they arrived and we could put in our food orders. We put in a second round of drinks orders after an hour. Then the food arrived in oddly staggered ways. By the time we were finished with our salads and sandwiches, we had been there two hours. Food and drinks were good overall.

Took my father out for my his 87th birthday. Had a local beer on tap and the turkey on sourdough. All good!

Lobster Mac & Cheese. Those squiggly bits were the lobster. Yes, lobster.

We tried Harlows again but it's missing the mark with food. Service is excellent, the pub is clean, drinks are good, but the food served just doesn't score high. I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese, but it was more like Mac and Cheese soup with teeny shrimp and bits of lobster. Not sure what sort of cheese, it was yellow, watery and flavorless. For $21 I expected much better, I wasn't able to eat it. My fellow diner wanted a plain, cold roast beef sandwich on sourdough and fries but the server wrote down the Blair Witch sandwich and my friend got a grilled panini-like sandwich, completely not anywhere close to a cold roast beef sandwich.. She ate half and sent the other half home with me for my dog. But the music was nice.

Only order the roasted root vegetable salad if you like raw, undercooked root vegetables.

It was a 45 minute wait for a table at 1 pm on a Saturday. That was fine as we thought it would be worth the wait. We checked out a few local shops and came back. After being seated and placing our orders, 2 meatball subs, a root vegetable salad with grilled salmon, and a soft pretzel, we waited an hour for our food. A table next to us ordered 15 minutes after our order and they received their food first. They were out of a beer that I ordered as well. The root vegetables in the salad were supposed to be roasted but were all undercooked and hard. The attached photo shows a butter knife standing straight up in a raw, hard parsnip. It takes like 20 minutes to roast parsnips and after waiting an hour for food, this is totally unacceptable. The excuse was new management and backed up kitchen. The restaurant was emptying out and didnt seem that busy. After inquiring several times about the wait for our food and letting the server know about the hard vegetables, they didnt take anything off the bill. The server offered to get the manager. Honestly, if I have to ask to see a manager, then you're just not doing your job. I simply can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointing.

Harlow's Pub Peterbourough NH first time at this restaurant. Beer IPA was very tasty. Took longer than anticipated for our meals, but it was worth the wait. My husband got the bandit hat stew for 23. I thought that was a little pricey, but the portion was large with tender beef overflowing in the bowl of heaven with two fresh pop overs for dipping (He was perfectly full and happy). I got the pasta Diablo which came with a light portion of blue cheese crumbles, which is wasn't sure if this would blend correctly. Wowza!!! Best pasta dish ever, creamy with perfectly cooked pasta, chicken tenders with a slight kick of spice and two slices of fresh garlic bread (you could actually see the garlic on the bread). We were shocked as this over achieved our expectations in this "foody area". 5 stars

Thirsty robots needs robots!…read more It's Saturday and we head in about 30 minutes after they open. We are going to be at least 12 people. My daughters volleyball team is meeting up for lunch with their families before we head to a local tournament. Now- We go to breweries ALL the time. We haven't really faced this issue before but: they only had 2 people working and had 2 really small ovens. They cannot handle the demand of people or food orders. It took about an hour for us to receive a mac and cheese, a pizza, an order of pierogi's and a quesadilla. My husbands food never hit the table (a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap.) Other families who ordered right after us- it took an hour and 20 minutes to get the food. Pizza- My family said it was ok Pierogi's- (potato & cheese) was there any cheese in it? A lot of potato (pro tip: ask for some liquid cheese served with the pretzels for dipping!) Mac & Cheese- they put nutmeg in it. my opinion: nutmeg doesn't belong in mac & cheese. quesadilla- (cheese) HUGE portion! extra crispy cheese on the edges. I like this style! Then... the line! This is the food ordering, beer ordering and bill pay line. My husband was in line for over 15 minutes to pay the bill. I actually don't even know exactly how long because I had to leave him there to pay while I got the kids to the tournament! It's got a decent location, good size, cool little outdoor area, cool art on the walls and their food was decent but they just can't handle a crowd. Underprepared.

There's a reason why this place has 4 1/2 stars after 180+ reviews, they can do no wrong…read more My grandfather brought my cousin and me here one day after a ski trip to Okemo and always had it in the back of my mind to come back here. Stopped in this weekend after skiing some fresh snow at Magic Mountain as it right along the way home. Already knew I was going to be eating some delicious food but didn't want to double dip and order the same thing. Well, I ordered the potato wedges which my cousin ordered last time which came out hot! Such a tasty bite as I remember them to be. After I had gotten through 1/2 of them I decided to order the Steak Pie which by the looks of all the other yelpers was going to be a great choice. No more than five minutes later as I was wrapping up my appetizer it was sitting in front of me. Dug into the vegetables first and they stood out as the first thing I should take a bite of, and they were on point. Nice buttery flavor and cooked just right. The beef was falling apart as I was sticking my for into it. So good! Wish there was more!! Potatoes were equally delicious as I used them to try and soak up all of the gravy, which I couldn't get enough of. So much flavor! The pastry puff I could have done without, give me some butter to slap on it and now we are talking. Ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding by recommendation of my server and was very happy with her pick. So. Damn. Good! Meal was $33 with a water, cannot beat the price for what you are putting in your body. During all of this they had the rugby game on between France and Scotland. Wish rugby was televised more here in the US, more enjoyable to watch than the NFL. Yelp would like me to talk about the ambiance so here it is. Place has lots of cultural items all around. Always something to look at and maybe educate yourself on. All in all if you are a skier and need a place to stop on the way home to fuel you up this is the place to come to. Maybe the same mindset if you are a hiker in the warmer months.

Small place with good service. Very Scottish with interesting decor. The chicken salad with corn I…read moregot on my garden salad was tasty and definitely interesting. Hubby reported his roast beef sandwich was great although the roast beef looked overcooked to me. What was dubious, however, were the French fries. They had a sort of mealy texture and a very odd taste--I thought they used coconut oil to fry but hubby thinks they coated them with baking soda, then fried. Either way I wasn't a fan.
