Quite the selection of menu options to choose from. My wife ordered the Wally burger, with blue cheese and bacon. I ordered the pot roast, as I used to have that often as a kid. Both were delicious, plenty of meat in the stew. We split the cinnamon raisin bread pudding, and it was also spot on. We happened to see a sign off the road for this place and were glad we stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The dining room was charming with great views of the trees and water out back. Our server was very sweet and the food was very good. We were impressed by the menu and it had lots of options, but learned that many were unavailable. We had the Scooby bites (fried cauliflower), portobello mushroom sandwich with sweet potato fries and a cod fillet dinner. All in all, a solid meal. Plenty of parking. Solid spot. Atmosphere is cozy with dim lighting. It is a bit loud but nothing crazy. I've never gotten bad service here. We ordered calamari, clam chowder, and a couple of burgers for dinner. The calamari was perfectly fried without being greasy. No chewy or tough pieces so overall it was good. The clam chowder was fine, it had the perfect consistency and perfect amount of potato but really could have used more clams. We loved the burgers. Aside from being slightly overdone, they were still juicy and had plenty of flavor. Toppings were fresh and the side of sweet potato fries were good too. read more

For the most part, I love this place. Lately, however, I've noticed this guy at the bar. Claims this is his office. Always has the remote, which apparently controls all of the tvs. We end up watching some motor head show. I don't enjoy watching car shows. Can't we put it on something most everyone would enjoy? Stopped here on a stormy afternoon because the place we intended to go was closed. The hours listed here at the time of this review are not correct and they are open for lunch. This place is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The fireplace and woodstove give it a very cozy atmosphere. Definitely a great date night spot! We were seated quickly and given menus. I don't think they have lunch specials here, the prices for the meals were definitely dinner prices. However, they did have a good assortment of lower priced items such as sandwiches, salads, and quesidillas. BLTs were not on the menu, but my mom asked if they had them and they said yes. So mom and I both ordered that. My dad ordered a quesidilla and my daughter in law ordered a salmon sandwich. For sides we had hand cut fries and onion rings. I also ordered a raspberry iced tea, perfectly sweetened. This place makes an amazing BLT! Loaded with bacon, cooked extra crisp just like we asked, slices of tomato and lettuce! The fries and onion rings were sooo good! My dad asked if the salsa he had was homemade and it was. He said its the perfect amount of heat and tasted super fresh. My daughter in law couldn't stop raving about her salmon sandwich, either. All in all, a perfect lunch! Everyone enjoyed it and we were so glad we decided to stop! It really feels home cooked! I came across this cute place on my way back from hiking and, not only is it the only food in the area (lol), it's actually really good! It has a very new Hampshire feel to it with a large stone fireplace and wood everywhere. The stained glass window was a bit tacky, but not critical. This place really outperforms when it comes to their food and service. We ordered the beef stew and meatloaf, with Mac and cheese. The meatloaf was - epic-. It was cooked wrapped in perfectly done mostly crispy bacon. It really added a great smoky flavor. I believe I also got corn chowder which was delightful. I really feel like this place tastes like grandma's home-cooked meatloaf and fall/winter food. Im very happy to have stumbled across it. We just went there this past Sunday for Easter. Made reservations for four had no problems. I did call back to add two more but they had no more reservations. They did offer to sit the extra at our table but my Husband and I thought it be to crowded. We got there just before our reservation and we were seated right away. Our server John came right over took our drink order got them and then to the orders. We all enjoyed our meals and appetizers every thing came to the table hot and delicious. Venting here. I am NEVER going back to Emma's again... EVER. (Not that they care, of course). Apparently they do not understand what a reservation is (think of the Jerry Seinfeld bit). On mother's day last spring, my son made a reservation.. for a specific table.. and they clearly understood and accepted it. But when we got there, the reserved table was not available and they sat us in the main dining room next to a screaming child. Ok, fine. But last week was my birthday, so my son again made a reservation... for a specific table... and they clearly understood and assured him it would be no problem. We got there... the reserved table was not available. We left. This week was my son's birthday, and I know how much he likes the place so yesterday I tried to make a reservation.. again for that specific table. They told me they "don't do that". Fine, I go somewhere else. BUT... Drew decided if we went early enough it probably wouldn't be an issue to get the table we wanted. So we went... the table was empty... and guess what. They were holding the table because it had been "reserved"!!!!!! Emma's.... three strikes, you're out. I'll stay home and cook before I'll ever go back. We lived in Rindge for a year with family and have come here a couple of times. In that time i think we have experienced the full gambit of what one can expect to experience here. First, loud, it is always loud for dinner, no matter what time you go for dinner it is loud and busy. Lunch is definitely less loud and more relaxed but people at dinner are loud to the point of being uncomfortable. Servers are a mix of friendly and really unfriendly. I feel like whenever we come in there is 3-4 women upfront (mostly unfriendly) and typically your waitress is nice, friendly but definitely slow. They are short staffed currently they will tell you that a couple of times so that you remember it, it will take a while for things to come out. I haven't been a fan of the mixed drinks but the food in general is pretty good. You can't go wrong with the fish and chips, the meatloaf wrapped in bacon and their mashed potatoes are terrible. Steaks are hit and miss. You will have more food than you can handle generally. Parking is a little confusing if you don't know the area. With how many times they have changed the days and hours they are open its hard to even know without calling what days they are open so best to call ahead. read more

After hiking Mt. Monadnock, my significant other and I were trying to find a good place to have a good meal. Emma's 321 Pub was PERFECT. I ordered the Tank burger with mushrooms (grilled 8oz patty with fried jalapeños, crispy onion strings, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, lettuce, and spicy aioli. The combination was amazing and paired very well with the fried onion rings I ordered. My SO had the corned beef Ruben sandwich and he said it was the best Ruben he's ever had. I wish Emma's was a bit closer so we could come here more often, but we'll definitely make the trip out. Plenty of parking and the service was so kind and prompt. read more

This was our first visit to Emma's since they bought JP Stephen's. We went for lunch on a Thursday and the restaurant was very busy. The service was fast, the food was delicious and the price was right. I got the Wally burger which was perfectly cooked and delicious. My GF got the Corned Beef Reuben which is made in house and she said it was great. We both got the side salad which is included. Very fresh! Emma's has Happy Hour Sunday-Thursday 3-6, and all day Thursday. We will definitely be going back! read more

Get the beet salad! This was our 1st time here and the food and drinks did not disappoint. The beet salad with goat cheese balls was very, very good (get it!). The cheeseburger was delicious (ordered well done but still moist) was perfection and let's discuss the hand-cut, deep fried, French fries...yum! Fried pickles, as our appetizer, we're perfectly crisp and flavorful - the dipping sauce was just ok. It was on the sweet side and a spicy aioli may have been better to enhance the flavor. Overall, we were very happy with the service (Ashley is marvelous) and quality of the food. PS, the chocolate cake.... richly decadent. A chocoholic's dream. We look forward to going back. read more

Bliss. Emma's 321 Pub provided the utter reprieve that my traveling companion and I were in search of during our journey through Rindge, NH. The cozy hardwood walls and fresh gingham tablecloths curated a wonderfully safe ambience that was only added to by the remarkable speed and quality of the service! We deeply enjoyed a delightful Caesar salad alongside the chicken finger platter (complete with the magical lemon aioli!). The chicken was perfectly salted, crisp and tender. We were also incredibly pleased to immediately receive ice-cold glasses of water, which came with a slice of lemon that we didn't even need to ask for! Well done, Emma's. Last night my husband and I were looking for a place not to far from home for a date dinner. Since we had to go to Hannaford we decided to check out Emma's. This is our second time here. The first time was only for wings and drinks. Our waitress was very prompt and my husband loved that he didn't have to ask her what was on tap for beer she automatically to us. The menu had a good variety of drinks and food. My husband had a beer from Burkshire Brewing company and I had a Sunset Lemonade. Both were good. Mine was a little strong, but I am not a huge fan of strong drinks. For dinner my husband had Bratwurst meal which is said was good and I had eggplant parm, which for not being an Italian restaurant it was pretty good. The service was excellent. It had a good atmosphere and I love that it's only 15 minutes from where we live. For a Friday night we were seated right away, but if we had a bigger party I would have called ahead. We decided to give this place a try because our regular haunts were closed. Although I've lived in Winchendon for 22 years, I've only eaten here once shortly after I moved here. Emma's is a rustic type old school place that serves mostly pub fare. We had the chili, a Reuben, and a "Sato" burger. We thought the chili was very good, although it came out of the kitchen a little cold for us, and we sent it back for reheating. The burger and Reuben were pretty good. Our server was good also, although a she did have a lot of tables and the bar to manage. Prices were reasonable. We would go back, and I would recommend it if you're looking for pub type fare. read more

I remember this building from when I was a child I also worked there when it was Lilly's on the pond. Since my dishwashing days there, it has been two other restaurants. I didn't really experience jP Stephens when it was opened. I have visited Emmas 321 at least 20 times. Recently my girlfriend and I made a random visit and sat at one of the dining tables. For dinner the place was quite full for Thursday. Our Dining Experience was very good our waitress was friendly and only when she was busy with other tables other staff brought our food out. We had settled up with our waitress and was going to retire to the bar side, sat at the middle high-rise table between the two posts and have noticed both owners were sitting at their reserved seats at the bar and Britney the bartender acknowledged our orders for two chocolate martinis. I had commented on the special I had for dinner and said it was really good. Bartender responded with thank you and Did you settle with your waitress Before coming over to the bar?I had told her yes because she did notice us sitting at the table earlier. I went back to my seat and Melissa had returned from the ladies room commenting that it was still cold in the bathroom and that there were no paper towels like the last few times we visited.We took a mental note of that and Britney brought our two "chocolate martinis" over,we noticed right away that the drinks looked different than what we've experienced in the past from a different bartender. Now all though Melissa and I can be picky at times and we do like to review our dining experiences.We both questioned the drinks to each other and then we let it go. Until we seen the bill for two drinks.As we were getting ready to leave Melissa brought it up to Britney the bartender, and Britney had told Melissa that's how she makes a chocolate martini and that's the price of the liquor that was used to make the drinks. We then had courage to tell her they didn't look like chocolate martinis because of no chocolate sauce or any cream liquor that would be in a chocolate martini,they looked like Kahlúa and whatever vodka she chose.I would think a bartender would mention the details of the drink if she was out of certain ingredients. But she just went ahead and made it her way anyways.We said they did not look like chocolate martinis and she said Well if you're not satisfied with your experience you don't have to come back. It's been at least two months.. Melissa and I both agree that the beer is always cold,food is outstanding and the choices of dip are always good. But we have noticed every visit that the staff tends to treat it more like their personal atmosphere. We tend to listen to conversations and some of them just seemed inappropriate for a restaurant setting. All of that said we are not mad we are just disappointed. read more

OMG I can't believe this place only has an average 3 1/2 star rating. This is easily the best Pub-Grille Restaurant food in the area. We started with the Deep Fried Almond Crusted Goat Cheese balls which were phenomenal and highly recommended. For the main course I had the Emma's Burger and my wife took chance and had the pot roast and it was excellent. The quality of the food is as good if not better than places you would see in major cities. Also some good craft brew beers on tap! Check this place out! read more
