One of the bedroom windows I recently replaced had an air conditioner that I clearly stated I wanted reinstalled. I requested that one side of the configuration have a sash window. The salesman who measured the windows was aware of all of this because we had several discussions before the window was ordered and the window cost several hundred dollars extra for the unusual design. I made a deposit of 1/2 the cost for the complete job (4 windows and 1 sliding glass door) and was told by the salesman that the other half was due when I was 100% satisfied. Initially, the window that was installed had a totally crazy configuration (see below). It looked like whoever assembled it was on drugs. After 2 1/2 months of phone calls to the salesman and the office, the window was replaced but the air conditioner (which was the reason for the design) does not fit, and I was told by a supervisor that there is nothing they can do about it. I am now left with a very expensive window with a slider on one side and a sash on the other, for which I have been presented with an invoice for the balance due. So far I am unable to find another air conditioner that fits, so obviously I am not 100% satisfied. I have voiced my extreme displeasure to them, but have been offered no solution. The installers were great, but the rest of this outfit sucks. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

Let me first of say that I LOVE my windows. We got the Milgards (Tuscany line). What a difference. My house is a lot cooler and so loving the auto lock feature. Casey who came out to measure was really great. He gave us all the information and didn't try to upsell us on anything.. which I appreciated. I called this company three times, three days in a row. All I wanted was an estimate to replace my windows and each time the operator/receptionist promised me that somebody would call me back by the end of the day. That was over a week ago From the last call I made. The operator never even apologized never said there was a reason for a delay and was just going through the motions to take my information. I have already contracted with another company and even if I hadn't I would definitely not use a company that can't even get back to a potential customer, Who tried to use a local company. Had someone come out and give me an estimate. Spent a good hour going over options and discussing how I could replace the design of my windows. Long story short, I never got a call back nor did I ever receive an email estimate. I wasted 1 hour of my day waiting for their salesman and my time never to hear back. I believe the company avoids clients who want a few windows replaced for clients who have more expensive or expansive jobs. Unless you want your entire home done, my guess is they throw your time out the door. Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my day (1 hour waiting, 1 hour consultation). We were initially excited to work with Hardy windows to get new windows installed and the company came highly recommended by a close friend. We met with the sales rep, received a quote for 5 windows and 1 patio door, and PAID the 50% deposit. However, the day after our deposit was collected, I received a text saying the quote I had originally received did not include the price of the patio door and I would get an additional $1200 added to my final bill. I spoke to the owner (Casey) the next day and he simply said he couldn't do the job and refunded me. It seems suspect that the person I worked with when getting the quote "forgot" to include the price of the patio door. Either he really dropped the ball or I was lied to. Before I start writing this, I just want to say I am absolutely disgusted & disappointed with Hardy Windows. This is a bit overdue... I went in to talk to salesman, Mark. While waiting in the hallway, I overheard a gentlemen in a wheelchair talking to another gentleman about an employee who had filed for disability and how it was causing him such a headache & proceeded talking about "those people" & you know how "those people" are. Well from the looks of it, all the gentlemen who work out in the back actually doing the labor part are all Hispanic. I make it known I'm right there and can hear everything they're saying & they look mortified I was there. I then find out the man in the wheelchair is the CEO & his name is Chance. I had 15 windows installed in 2006 and recently the adhesive on the sash is pulling away. I have called the company 5 times to have someone come out. According to them, the windows have a lifetime warranty and no one has called me back. When I called to get an estimate, received a phone call immediately. There's no way I will move forward with conducting business with someone who has no integrity and is not providing customer service. I do not recommend this company to have your windows installed. It seems they only care about the initial business but not into a longevity relationship with their customers. Revision June 2nd, 2017 I initially gave the company a 1 star rating because I was so upset that no one ever got back to me regarding fixing my windows. Chris Hanson at Hardy Windows was extremely nice and helpful and gave us an amazing quote for well-made, energy-efficient windows - much lower than the competitors. After the windows came in and before the installation, they were able to pull the building permit for us, a life-saver during the COVID19 closures. The team that came out to install the windows was wonderful! They were on time, efficient, knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. After installation, they washed the new windows until they sparkled and explained how the latches worked, etc. They also cleaned up any mess and left everything spotless. One added note is that they installed molding around our sliding glass door which was a surprise. What a delightful finishing touch! I am writing this as an apology to Eddy who works at Hardy Windows. We have used 2 window companies over the years to replace our windows. Initially, I thought Hardy was the Co. that replaced our master bedroom window that is showing condensation on the inside. I called them over 2 months never getting any answer back for why it was taking so long to resolve my problem. Finally, today I told Eddy I would go on YELP and give them a bad rating. In the mean time I discovered another window company is responsible. Eddy was more than gracious to me even though I was wrong! He is handling other issues we are having with crank openers, but I have faith that the company will follow through on their products. read more

Chris Hanson the sales person came out measured up gave me the a selection and explained the differences no pressure, no 3 hour dog and pony show with heat lamps, and "this is the same stuff they used on the space shuttle" crap that I have endured before. 13 windows and a patio door were ready when they were supposed to be. The crew was a little early but they just waited outside until we noticed them, they were efficient, courteous and cleaned up well. Price was reasonable, windows seem good quality, noise reduction was the first thing we noticed, second thing was next morning in the kitchen I didn't feel like an ant under a microscope in the sun. good experience read more

I had replaced all windows and sliders on two homes with Hardy Windows. We were referred to them by a good friend. They were really nice and competitive but now I have an issue with one of the windows and I can't get anyone to call me back to help. I have called, texted and reached out via YELP and still nothing. The window vinyl around the window has separated from the window and we see the glue. Disappointing. The receptionist was not helpful and a bit rude when i told her that i have tried to get a hold of someone over there. She told me to go to their website to put in a request. I'm now holding my breathe that someone will actually call me back to fix this product defect. read more

So I finally got around to posting this review. I cannot in honestly recommend Hardy Windows to anyone. If I could give them a negative rating I would. My wife and I had gotten a few window quotes and while all of them seemed good we decided to go with Hardy Windows. They weren't the cheapest but they were close and we liked their sales pitch. Well, everything was good up until the installation. We had our windows installed on June 5th, and they came on time. My wife was home to watch them finish the installation. After the installation, they were leaving and my wife noticed that there were no screens that were installed. When she brought this up to the installer he looked in the truck, noticed no screens and called the showroom. He said that the screens hadn't come in and he left. This frustrated us tremendously. It wasn't that there were no screens but if they had checked the order ahead of time and told us there were no screens we would have delayed the installation. That night I called our sales rep Benjamin, and he said he'll have it squared away and he'll call me first thing in the morning. Two days go by and I haven't heard anything from anyone. I called the warehouse myself on the 8th and the warehouse manager tells me they should be able to install it next week. They come on June 14th to install the remaining screens except when I get home from work there are still screens missing. When I call nobody answers. I get an email the next morning saying that they were shortened by 2 screens. They will get back to be ASAP with an ETA. Four days go by and I hear nothing and I have to follow up with them. They then say they would be scheduled to arrive by the 21st. So keep in mind, at this point it would be already 16 days from installation to complete the installation. The 21st comes and nobody has come to install the screens. I get no notice or communication. When I ask the next morning they tell me that there was a delay in the shipment and now I'll get the screens by the 25th. So now we are looking at 20 full days since initial installation. June 25th comes by and still no screens, no update, no communication. I follow up with Hardy Windows and they say they still do not have any update or ETA. The final screens were installed on June 29th. 24 days after the initial installation. For me, it wasn't that they didn't have the order, or that the manufacture didn't give them timeframes. What the issue was is that they just did not communication. I had to follow up with them every single time. And I am pretty sure that if I didn't follow up with them more than 11 times, it would have taken longer to complete my order. They did not take the initiative to reach out to me, even if there was no update. Even if they did not know they could have emailed me or called me and say "Sorry, we still do not have an update but we wanted to follow up to let you know we are still working on it." That would have been acceptable. But the fact that I had to initiate the follow up every single time and nobody went out of their way to reach out to me, when in fact this is their problem is shameful. In no way can I or would I recommend Hardy Windows to anyone. read more

I was so impressed by the honesty and efficiency of Tony at Hardy Windows. I have a listing in San Clemente, and the huge picture window that looks out to the ocean has condensation blocking the view - terrible for the property value! I called Hardy to come measure and quote a replacement. Tony was able to give me a quick quote via email, and then he offered to go out and re-check my measurements to ensure we were ordering the right size window. I'm so glad he did, because when he went out there he found that the window was covered by warranty, and was even kind enough to give me the number to the manufacturer. He could have totally just replaced the window for a fee like I asked, but he was kind and honest enough to offer an even better solution saving my client hundreds of dollars :) I sincerely appreciate the ethics Hardy showed here and I will be highly recommending them for all my Orange County window needs in the future :) read more

Just trying to get a quote for our office building and can't seem to get someone to come out and give me a quote.. Called on a Wednesday and left all my information and was told someone would call me for scheduling. I called back a week later and she apologized that I no one ever got back to me.
