So, that says a lot. I had a really yummy gluten free Main Street burger! I was very satisfied with the flavor and super grateful for the gf option. My husband did all the hard work, so I can't speak to service, but everyone was full and happy. :)

We are in town for volleyball and needed a quick easy dinner near our hotel that wasn't a chain. This place checked all the boxes. We arrived about an hour before closing it was empty but I think that is more because of the zero degree weather. This is a fast casual set up do you go up and order then take a seat. We asked the cashier for suggestions and went with both suggestions the Jam Bacon burger with fries and the shore Billy chicken with Pasta salad. Service was super fast and we had our food in about 10 mins, hot, fresh and smelling amazing!!! A quick five minute drive back to our hotel, since we were all too tired to eat onsite and we were ready to dig in. Everything was right about our meals. The burger was seasoned well, juicy and cooked to perfection. It had perfect portions of toppings and the bread was so soft. Everything is so fresh. The fries were shoe string boardwalk style. Crispy salty and malt vinegar on the side. We all wished we had ordered an extra side. Now the chicken sandwich was amazing. Chicken was crispy and hot. The flavor mix was on point. The sandwich kind of made you think crab cake on chicken. It was a bit messy because of the sauce but well worth it. We LOVED every bite. The pasta was nice and refreshing with lots of beans and veggies. It's like if pasta salad and bean salad had a baby. Great as a vegetarian option too. Overall a wonderful experience. We plan to eat here again before we leave.

The sauce that the lobster was tossed in was so watery that it completely soaked the roll and it became a flat piece of wet dough that you could not even pick up. It was disgusting. I had to go ask a fork just so I could eat the lobster without the roll. Anyone who has had lobster rolls before understand that the role is very important and it should not be flat mushy and wet. When I went to get the fork, I was asked why I needed a fork for the lobster roll and I told them that the role was ruined and wet and I couldn't even pick it up. I was then told that the next time I ordered a lobster roll I should get the one with the butter. I was then informed that I must not have been aware of what I was ordering and that's why it wasn't what I expected. I informed them that I was very aware of what I was ordering because I used to own a seafood restaurant and market and that what was served to me was unacceptable. I won't be getting lobster rolls there again, but I will go back for a burger.

In…read moreMaryland for a work conference, my coworker saw that Cookout is around the corner from where we're staying. I was thrilled because the closest one to me back home is 40 minutes away. It was late when we got from our day trip, but I knew I had to at least have a milkshake before opting for a full meal the next day. I was blown away by the size of the menu (especially the shakes), and how much food you can get at such a reasonable price! I opted for the Peach Cobbler milkshake because it's such a unique flavor. I appreciated the quantity of peaches and cobbler bits in the shake, but it was lacking that sweet, peach flavor I'm used to. The next day I brought another conference attendee with me so we both could try a meal for the first time. I went with a tray, picking a cheeseburger, fries, nuggets, and a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. If I closed my eyes and took a sip of the shake, I could immediately tell you what flavor it was. They nailed it perfectly. The burger and nuggets were some of the freshest I've ever had at a fast food restaurant, and the patty was pretty thick as well. The fries were thick as well and crispy, but could have used some salt or seasoning.

These prices are what true Americans reminisce about, the tray combo price is insane for the sheer quantity and quality of food. These food prices are a recession indicator, if these go up in Salisbury, Maryland - riots and civil war is nearing. I would give up my arms for this place to stay the same. Is the food necessarily healthy for you to eat frequently? no - but I for one embellish in what life has to offer every now and then and id suggest you too in this mortal realm. I think almost everything on the menu is fried and that's okay. The only thing I would make people aware of is the somewhat relaxed service pace - the staff takes their time but are in no regards rude. Add this on top of a never ending slew of people waiting to get their intake of cook out, and you got a little wait on your hands. Anyways try this place out - it's cracked.

Usually it's later in the evening when they're already closed, or it's Monday-Wednesday when they're not open when we're heading back home. This time it was around 7:00, we were driving by, and I thought, "Let's stop in and grab some dinner and try something new." The first thing we noticed getting out of the car was the smell outside, which honestly wasn't very pleasant. Across the street there are several chicken barns, so I'm assuming that may have been part of it. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we liked. Inside is very nicely decorated. There's a counter with a few seats, several two- and four-top tables, and through a small hallway there are larger tables that I'm guessing become communal seating when it gets busy. Our server, Jaylin, came over quickly to take our drink order. He explained the beer options and mentioned they had homemade lemonade and sweet tea. My wife asked for unsweet tea but they only offer sweet tea, so she ended up getting water. I ordered the sweet tea and they definitely weren't kidding -- it's sweet! For dinner we ordered the three-meat plate with brisket and pit beef, along with collard greens and coleslaw. The food came out looking good, and I actually took a picture, but of course now I can't find it on my phone. The one disappointing thing was the brisket presentation. Instead of sliced brisket, it came out looking more like a pile of shredded beef. The meat itself was tender and flavorful, and some pieces had a nice bark on them. The pit beef was also tender and served warm, although I was expecting more traditional sliced beef. The collard greens were very good. I asked for some cider vinegar for them and was initially told they didn't have any. A few minutes later, a gentleman walked by and asked how everything was. I mentioned the vinegar situation and he immediately said they had gallons of it and brought some over, which I appreciated. The coleslaw just wasn't my style. I prefer shredded cabbage slaw, while theirs was chopped. It wasn't bad -- we still finished it -- just not my personal preference. I noticed another table got cornbread that looked really good, so I ordered a piece. Unfortunately, that was another small disappointment. It looked good on the outside, but once I cut into it, it was very dense and seemed to be mostly cornmeal without any actual corn in it. After taking a bite, it also seemed like it may have been microwaved because the inside had a rubbery texture. Overall, the meats were good and the sides were solid. One thing to note: make sure you read the ENTIRE menu carefully. There is a $5 upcharge for double meat. Yes, it's printed in red, but I completely overlooked it. Personally, I don't think the extra meat was worth the additional charge, and had I noticed it beforehand I probably would have ordered something different. It would have been nice if the server had casually mentioned the upcharge when ordering. Honestly, he probably would have gotten a better tip. They also offer homemade desserts, which I'll definitely try next time. Another table ordered the bread pudding and it looked amazing. One last thing: I understand we were there close to closing time, but while we were still eating, Jaylin started sweeping the rugs at the entrance inside the restaurant and rolling them up. That's probably something that should either be done outside or after the last customers leave. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and definitely look forward to stopping in again whenever we come through while they're open.
