The chicken and broccoli was....average- not necessarily bad- at least the broccoli was fresh, but the chicken- it's like the chef didn't even bother to cut the meat against the grain- when you cut with the grain, chicken meat turns out tough, and this is exactly what we got. The fried rice for both lunch specials was the real shocker: there was NOTHING about it that made it a "fried rice." No pork or other meat, no egg, not even carrots and peas which are CHEAP ingredients- just.... Plain Soy sauce fried rice... not even chopped scallion. the consistency was awful. If you're going to skimp on ingredients like this, then don't even bother offering a fried rice option! Just give plain white rice! It's better to just not offer something than to tarnish an actual Chinese dish! The sesame chicken was .. passing "ok" but again, that fried rice base was such a bleak disappointment. The cheese wontons WERE in fact good, no complaints there- that's what's bringing it up to a 3 star instead of 2 star review. The mooshu pork... umm... thick cut pieces of roast pork instead of pork slices? It's honestly pretty HARD to mess up mooshu yet they managed. I guess this is what we get for attempting Chinese in rural Maryland.
