Ordered in drive-through today, a hot dog, onion rings, and grape slush. The slush and onion rings were very good, customer service was polite and cordial when spoken to, and I know is cold outside, but the young lady looked so cold. Finally when arrived home to eat the hotdog, the bun was so stale that when you touched it or tried to poke it at all, it would not bounce one bit. The bread is not soft, like a brick and not edible. If I could I'd give no stars I would. There is nothing fast about this location. We Wait 30 mins for our food. Was only given half the order. My husband was so frustrated he didn't even want to go back. He opened his sandwich. It had a long black hair in it. They didn't give us a receipt so I can't even report the transaction. I wish I had checked reviews before stopping at this nasty mess of a restaurant, but I had two hungry kids and had to find something. I always wanted to try Sonic, but this place soured my desire to go again. The screen you order at wasn't working properly and the young lady (who was actually very polite and professional) came out and took our order. We noticed right away everyone waiting for food seemed frustrated and angry. I overheard two different people ask how much longer their food was going to be. One of them asked for their money back and left. It wasn't even that busy which made me wonder why food was taking so long. Also, I notices the trash cans were all overflowing. Again, it wasn't busy so someone should have been able to change out the trash bags. I guess not. The food itself was OK. All we got were burgers and fries so nothing too exciting. While we were there though, a few of the employees walked around to the other side of the building to smoke weed with their friend who pulled up. Then they just hung out doing absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, the trash cans are still overflowing and the bathrooms are disgusting. Obviously this location isn't properly supervised and the dumb dumbs that work there are left to do what they want. I was so excited to go to Sonic because I've been wanting to try the pickle slushee all summer long and I finally got one. I have to say the wait here did take awhile however I peaked inside and saw they only had two workers so they were doing the best they could. One woman on the window and also taking the orders and then one guy in the back making the food. I got my pickle slushee, pickle fries and instead of the pickle burger (yup I'm a pickle lover) I got the bbq popcorn chicken. The bbq sauce was sweeter than I would've liked, I should've went with buffalo but my son wanted some but besides that everything was good and we were so excited for our pickle slushees!! read more

Absolutley terrible. I waited over 45 minuets for my food In the drive through, they were out of everything I wanted (angus patties, notmal patties, icecream, coke?????) The microphone also kept lagging out, and there was trash everywhere in the seating area. Well at least I like their commercials. I was exploring the area and decided to visit this Sonic. I haven't been to one since Washington state in 2013 and pulled over for the nostalgia. I should have stayed in the road. First, the place was being upgraded or at least I hope so because about 60% of their curbside speakers were out of order. I had to pull out of the first one I went into because of this reason. Second, the speaker system was very hard to hear. And the keypad buttons were so worn out, I didn't know the function for any of the buttons. I mean I couldn't pay at the kiosk with a Credit Card because I wouldn't know what buttons to push. Third, I was hoping to see people roller skate around but I guess it was too cold because the young lady just walked up to the cars with my order and change. Fourth, food was average and I mean average. I like tots everyone knows that but the burger nothing special. I got the steakhouse burger with bacon. The bacon was nice and thick but the burger was dry even with the cheese. Overall two stars. This place needs an upgrade quick. Now excuse me, time to see what else is around this great state. The drive in area didn't work. Went to the actual drive through, waited forever and they were out of everything we wanted to order.

On 7/23/23 after driving 4 hours we decided to stop at Sonic for something to eat and use the restrooms. Unfortunately the restrooms were in such deplorable conditions we left without any hesitation in search of a cleaner location. If employees had to use these same restrooms, food safety would definitely be an issue. read more

Unlike some other reviewers, I've never had a issue with this place in regards to quickness or service. I stop here when traveling to my Mom's house in Virginia and usually order a chili dog and tots (the dogs love a tater tot treat). Consistent and tasty, Sonic is always a go-to if I have to eat fast food. Easy stop when traveling down/up the Eastern Shore. read more

There is only one worker which I understand being short staffed but the one worker who is here completely ignored us when trying to order through the drive through then when we pulled around he stared at us and made us wait 5 minutes before coming to the window to take our order. I stopped by recently to pick up a late dinner. The places on Chincoteague were close and this was the nearest place that was open. When I pulled up to the drive through. The person who came on the speaker informed me that there would be a 45 minute wait on account they where short staffed because of Covid. I decide not to order and as I pulled away several other cars pulled in and out of the drive through also. I suspect they were told the same story about the 45 minute wait. It was obvious to me that the two people that were working that evening had little interest in doing their job. You just have to wonder where the managers / owners are? This was a quick lunch stop for us on our way back from the beach. It was difficult to put the order in for four people because the person kept cutting me off. They didn't give my husband. Actually they came out with the wrong order at first. The staff member was quick to return the wrong order and give us our order. The food was good. I got the chicken tender meal. It was a sad meal. I got a pierce of toast - well, what I'm assuming was to be toast. It was butter and it was just shoved into the box. I didn't get any sauce. I guess the best part of my meal was the tots. The most dirty and disgusting Sonic I've ever seen. Didn't realize it was a drive thru only so I parked and walked past an employee who watched me walk past her to the front door where I was "greeted" by an employee who sharply said "Ma'am, ma'am" to me but nothing else. Realizing it wasn't actually a restaurant I told him "sorry that I'm not from around here" and walked back outside only to see the original female employee staring at me still not saying anything like perhaps "sorry miss but this is drive thru only". I was going to use the restroom which was also strange because there was a sign on the restaurant front door (that I originally mistakenly entered) that read "restrooms outside". I thought they were porto potties or something like that. But they were actually located in the building but with outdoor entrances. The restrooms were DISGUSTING beyond belief so bad that I didn't use it. Never ever going here again a and too bad cuz I like the Sonic in my home state and it's always clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful. I'm not a fan or regular patron of any fast food chain. The stuff is just unhealthy and shouldn't be consumed by anyone. It's just making America, fat, lazy and unhealthy (ref: drive-up windows at Dunkin' Donuts. Really?). Sonic is the only one that I feel has decent tasting quality food. It had been several years since my last Sonic visit. I ordered the Super Double Bacon burger with onion rings and a chocolate shake. I was surprised with how quickly the young lady in roller skates arrived at my car window. She actually scared the crap out of me. She was quite pleasant and cheerful with a big smile and said she'd be back to check on me. Burger and rings were good.
