I recently had the opportunity to eat at Zaxby's in Asheville, NC. I am an avowed Raising Canes…read moreaddict. But being in the south i felt it necessary that I run the taste test and find out who makes the best chicken fingers. Honestly, I love Zaxby's! Everything about them was spot on. The breading was just right, not overcooked, the fries were perfect, and the Texas toast was ideal. They totally made me forget about Canes while I was there! Did I mention the sauce? I very much liked the sauce, but i chose sauce with no spice. I can be a spice guy but I opted out on it because I wanted to get the real flavor of the chicken. So, I suppose when I'm in the north I'm a Canes guy. When I'm in the south I'm a Zaxby's guy. And when I'm in the middle I'll live with the tension.

Everything about that place? Just holy hell. Thank God I never got accepted to work there because by the looks of it that place is a hell hole not only for customers but for employees. Please fix your restaurant or shut it down. And I can get some of the staff being miserable, especially if people are just reporting you for not smiling. But I've never seen or met any of you people before. I've worked in fast food for 5 years and I have never in a million years acted like that or had a co-worker that has acted like they have. That is saying a lot. That will be the first and hopefully last time I'll ever eat here. Thank Margaret for not hiring me

Only things I noticed were, as we walked to the booth, the floors were tacky/sticky. Upon sitting, I noticed the window sills needed cleaned. Young kid blonde highlights in hair working the counter didn't seem to know what to do or was new and had no clue how to do his job. Then after I place the 3 orders, I had to ask for the 1 drink cup since they forgot to give me when I ordered the meal(comes with drink), go to fill with ice, No Ice. Then they inform me they are waiting for ice cream to get made would take a minute or two no problem, food is sitting on counter this whole time, 15 mins goes by, then they bring the ice cream to me, I had to ask for drink caddy. By this time I know the food is probably cold on counter, sure enough got back to work all the food was ice cold and soggy fries. Waist of money an unhappy coworkers.
