One sunny afternoon I was driving north on interstate I-75, listening to Hot 104.5. A snazzy little jingle came on and caught my attention. It offering a staggering 2 foot long sandwich for $5. Coincidentally, I had five dollars on my person and was in the mood for a stint of gastrointestinal distress. I popped by my local Kenjo Market for one of their Super Granddaddy Sub sandwiches. The market itself was clean and the employee behind the counter was friendly. A little false advertising aside and the sandwich wasn't that bad. The meat and cheese wasn't "pilled high" but it was sufficient to quench my appetite. Juxtapositionally, it was similar to a Subway sandwich but a better deal. If you ever find yourself burdened with a wallet sized portrait of Ole honest Abe, swing by your local Kenjo and pick yourself up a 2 foot long piece of bread, meat and cheese.

Instead of letting me do​ just a cash purchase; they refused to do so & took it to a whole other level (shameful). Neither the other 2 younger employees would (male & female) process cash only claiming the older male was the only one to work the register​​​​​​​. Then to back up the older employee's outburst, the younger male lied saying (before he revealed no split purchase) that I was hostile. Instead of admitting the older gentleman made an error & letting me purchase gas with cash; the young male lied. I kept my tone even throughout & the video in the store will show that. When the young male revealed about the split I said (even though he saw & heard what the older gentleman said & did) he/older male didn't say that. Young male said nothing; I again asked for anyone ​​to process $20 cash instead. No move; they took a stance & refused service. I asked for the manager; they said he was not available. I asked for the name of the manager; the younger male said "Google it of Kenjo website; we're not allowed to give his name." I never heard of such a thing when needing a manager's name. It was very disappointing to see people acting like this​, still, in 2023. It caused emotional distress & older gentleman had no just cause to treat me this way; a bully. Another customer (1:15pm EST) indicated that employee is a "Troublemaker" and said "let's just say I don't like him." He nor the young man ​ "working" that day (1/14/23 afternoon day shift) acted at all by the ​​Kenjo's mission statement. The way that acted should not be accepted.​​​​​​ Harmful for your company & the customers.​​
