This review is about the new Crispy Chicken Sandwich that McDonald's is testing in Knoxville and Houston. The new sandwich is designed to compete against Chick-Fil-A's chicken sandwich (and Popeye's). Before this test, my opinion was that Chick-Fil-A's sandwich was the best, with Popeye's sandwich a great 2nd choice. Popeye's sandwich is very good, but is different from the Chick-Fil-A offering. McDonald's new Crispy Chicken Sandwich is VERY much like Chick-Fil-A's, right down to the same type of packaging. These guys are not messing around, they have created an impressive competitor to Chick-Fil-A. They are testing a basic sandwich with just the bun and pickles, and a deluxe version with lettuce, tomato some kind of buttery coating on the chicken breast. I tried the basic original crispy sandwich. Here are the details... - Has the same overall look and packaging - The sandwich is actually MORE crispy than Chick-Fil-A - The chicken coating looks BETTER than Chick-Fil-A - The bun is BETTER than Chick-Fil-A - The chicken breast itself is not as moist as Chick-Fil-A - The chicken breast itself is not as flavourful as Chick-Fil-A - McDonald's sandwich is BETTER than Popeye's So after this test, I still think Chick-Fil-A is the best chicken sandwich. But now McDonald's has taken 2nd place with their offering, and Popeye's drops down to 3rd place. As of this writing, McDonald's is only testing the original flavour. They are not offering or testing a Spicy version (yet?). I'm really hoping that they will offer a spicy version, and do it properly like Chick-Fil-A. Popeye's fails in this space, only offering a spicy mayo instead of a full spicy coating. I believe if McDonald's does release this product in both original and spicy versions (along with deluxe), they will have a hit on their hands. read more

Waited for 30+ minutes for food, and when they were approached about it they pulled the food out of the landing zone

The service here is god awful. I always order through the app and was told that they did not have the items I ordered once I arrived at the SECOND window. They didn't even try to offer me a refund and I still had to pay for the items I did not receive. I have ate in the dining room once before and it is awful. The teenagers that work there have such potty mouths in front of customers and it is just plain ratchet. They really need to do better. I know it is just a Mcdonald's, but you would think they would actually put some common sense into who they hire. read more

After ordering, waited at the 1st window to pay and no one was there to take our payment. We proceeded to the 2nd window, the cashier shouted to us: YOU DIDN'T PAY!!! It's our fault you took forever to get to the first window?! What? The 2nd window don't take payments?! And y'all want a raise?! GTFOH! lol read more

Our experiences at McDonald's have been mediocre at best before tonight. We spent nearly 30 minutes in the drive thru at the fault of their miserable staff. When we eventually did get to order, they claimed they didn't serve milkshakes after 10 PM, which was a lie, as we've gotten milkshakes after 10 PM in the past. When my mother attempted to explain we had been waiting before 10 pm, the woman behind the drive thru speaker was rude, denying we had been waiting since 10 pm. The blatant disregard for their consumers makes me wish I could rate this establishment lower than one star. We will never be coming back to this McDonald's. read more

This place made me wait for 15 minutes for a breakfast I paid for before calling me up to say they had no materials for breakfast, lying to my face and saying they ended breakfast at 10:30 when their kiosk wouldn't even let me order anything else. Which of course made me miss an opportunity to go elsewhere. Then of course I'm the "Karen" For daring to be upset and question why, and explaining the kiosk. There were no apologies, and the girl up front (had long braided hair) just stood there with the IQ of a rock and the attitude of a street rat with a face that looked like she'd never bothered with anything in her life and asked me the stupidest question ever;": "So what do you want, a refund?" No, I'd like to make an overpriced donation to your store, you clown. She blamed the kiosk for lying when I called her out and had lots of little mumbled jabs at me, honestly i had to leave and break something at home so I didn't "make a scene" at her instead. I'm not coming back here, I'm sure we're both happy about that, but honestly somebody needs to just fire her. I am writing this in the drive-thru. How? Simple. I have been in line for well over ten minutes and the line is crawling. McDonald's has got ridiculously slow. Fast food is no longer that. I should have already been halfway home now, but no. I received no apology or explanation at the drive-thru order location. I don't know why McDonald's can't be more like Chick-fil-A where I never remember waiting. If it wasn't for getting large fries for a dollar I would never come as this happens at every McDonald's. Maybe next time I should do Chick-fil-A or Wendy's. Yep. Still in line. Hope I will get home to my cat this evening. read more

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to, employees are straight assholes, terrible service. Got cut in line by another patron who ordered at least 15 items, after our order was complete the worker taking the orders walked away and left me standing there for another 13 minutes before she came back and took my order. When she came back to take my order she was moving a turtle speed and made me repeat my order four different times before she got it correct. After paying she handed me one drink up when I ordered 2 drinks and then question me to make sure that I had two drinks and had to go back into the computer to check for herself after she just took the order. Would not recommend coming here at all skip it and go to the next McDonald's down the road. read more

"24 hours" McDonalds, but the night crew will stop answering the drive thru at 10:30. They'll sit inside and explain 100 reasons why they can't do their job. I'm 0/5 on weekend nights trying to get food on my way home from my own job, but they'll smoke 10/10 cigarettes in the parking lot while they ignore you at the drive thru screen. Contacting owners doesn't help, which is surprising since they're paying the night crew to sit on their ass and ignore/be rude to customers. I would give 0 stars if the day crew didn't exist. read more

Even though this place is small it has great customer service and good food. There is only one cashier and everyone else in the kitchen or the drive thru. It gets very busy because of this though. read more

If you are excited about non-existent customer service and getting the incorrect items in your order this is the McDonald's location for you. If you prefer to visit an establishment that gets your order correct try any other option. Management won't even pretend to make it right. Kendra is a terrible manager. read more

I'm terribly disappointed in this McDonald's. The building is updated but the inside was terribly dirty. Food all over the floor trash left on tables. Tables were sticky. The food was decent and the bathroom was clean but the rest of the dining area was terrible read more

I have had a really bad experience here. I was told I had to have cash to purchase a gift card because someone else had used a stolen debit/credit card. The only reply I got was that it was a corporate decision to only accept cash for gift cards. This is unacceptable. Why should I be inconvienced because they did not ask for identification. This is so stupid. I went to Wendy's and got a gift card there. Also, if you go to the web site, it pops up your info then will not let you enter any complaints. We stopped here for ice cream....BIG MISTAKE!! The staff was rude, complained the whole time we were standing waiting on our ice cream, that we had ordered so much....it was 2 cones and 5 mcflurries! The young man that made our ice cream dripped it on his fingers and licked them while handling our cups! The other young man that made our cones must not have realized the paper on the cone is provided to keep his hands off of the part someone eats, because he had his hands all over the cone. There was someone's dirty, sweaty hat lying on top of the ice cream machine, and ALL of the trash cans were overflowing out into the floor. The play room was filthy with food in the floor and the tables looked like they had not been wiped clean for days! I have worked fast food before and know how busy it can get.
