The food was great as always, although steak was a little salty. The waiter was amazing... However the ambiance was lacking due to the person who seated us. I asked for a booth, and she said she had none although there were many open booths. I tried to sit in a chair where she put us but it hurt my back. So again I asked for a booth because of my back. She finally seated us in a booth. I was so disappointed in her reaction and the lack of empathy for an older woman who had trouble sitting in a chair. We were served a steak that was completely raw inside -- and after looking it up, it appeared to have what looked like an abscess in it. This is a serious food safety issue that could make someone sick. The steak was a wet dog food texture. Our waiter was kind and professional, but management never came over to apologize or address it at all. It was brushed off like it wasn't a big deal, which is unacceptable. Been going to T R for years. M 1st negative experience. Service was great. Friendly atmosphere. Complaint is on the food. 1st: the difference between med. Rare/medium/and med. well is a gray area. 2nd, my side was fresh vegetables. My assumption was cooked ones. It was obvious that they hadn't been even though the liquid in the cup was hot. Not al dente, raw. They were very crunchy. Not going to keep me from going back but I'll be sure to clarify the details next time. They tried to blame it on us after putting our number in wrong and not calling our name over the speaker. The food was undercooked, even after being sent back the steak that was meant to be well done was rare. It was less done than the medium rare steaks were. They did end up compensating for the steak. The steaks weren't how we ordered, and they sat us near a birthday group of loud people and children. My steak should have been medium rare, but it was rare; I ate half and brought the rest home. The baked potatoes were hard as if they were rewarmed. ‍ Hubby's steak was supposed to be medium, but it was medium rare. The server was good. My biggest complaint was that they seated us in such a noisy area; we couldn't talk amongst ourselves because of the noise. I would have told the manager had she come around, but she didn't. This location is HORRENDOUS. DO NOT take your date to this pitiful excuse of a restaurant! Our party of 2 ordered food as we sat down, I was just trying to grab dinner and get to bed as it was already 8pm. We waited an entire hour before receiving cold steak on one plate, and over well-done steak in the second plate, so we sent it back and should have left at this point. All throughout these 1.5 hours we are waiting on a manager and our server informed us that the managers are arrogant pricks and will not come to our table. (Not exactly said that way, but I could pick up on what she was putting down) My plate comes back and now the kitchen has magically run out of mashed potatoes for my meal. The second plate now had a rare piece of steak sitting on it, which was once again sent back. THEY PUT THE STEAK IN A MICROWAVE! This thing came back medium well with absolutely zero juice leaking out of it, drier than the Sahara desert. At this point I was fed up and was contemplating walking out on them, though I felt our server deserved a tip for all the bullshit the kitchen put onto her, so I payed my "discounted" bill and tipped my server generously. This place is an absolute shit-show, Ruby Tuesday's down the road could do a better job than these people. Texas Roadhouse NEVER disappoints! The service is always top tier. The food is so flavorful and fresh. The recommended time when picking up a curbside order is early or on time 99.9% of the time. Steaks are cooked perfectly! And if for some reason they're not, TXRH will recook them without a single complaint. Ribs are the best I've ever had. Calhoun's used to have some of the best ribs, but over the years, with how tender and fall off the bone, TXRH easily takes first place! Caesar salad is light, fresh, and crispy...crave this for lunch allll the time. Love that they brought TXRH to Powell! Had to wait over an hour when we got in and seated we had bread and ordered drinks. Well we ate the bread and still didn't have drinks and she came back finally to take our order we gave her the order ask if our drinks were ready and for more bread and she got the bread and said they were working on the drinks. We got our salads and still no drinks we finished the salad and finally got the drinks, then we sit there for another 20 minutes waiting on food finally got the food after asking how much longer on our food and it wasn't even hot must have been sitting for awhile my husband had to send his pasta back to be warmed up my steak was not hot and it was very dry. I asked for some more and I was given excuse after excuse as to why I was not getting any more rolls. My family and I came here recently and had terrible service, usually it is great but our waiter was disrespectful and rude. I think his name was either Grady or Brady, he wrote down the wrong meals and did not put in our special requests. Never came by to check on us or refill our drinks but saw him multiple times interacting with co-workers while ignoring his tables. He was super short and unfriendly in his responses whenever we asked for simple requests. Made us feel like we were bothering him. It was supposed to be ready at 9:15pm but didn't come out until 9:40pm, so just remember they are new and super busy, so be prepared to possibly wait. The parking lot every time I pass is always packed so I am sure the inside has a wait as well. The food itself was great! Everything tasted good, it was hot and fresh when I got home with it. And they gave us lots of cinnamon butter for the rolls which was awesome. The only negative I would say is with my husband's burger there were barely any fries, maybe 10. I don't post much unless I feel it's necessary. We recently moved to Clinton from California and this is the 3rd time we have been to your restaurant. Texas Roadhouse has been our go to place for years now But unfortunately the last couple visits have been very disappointing to say the least, in-particular last night. We were seated in good time as we joined the waitlist but once seated it was at least 15 mins before bread and about 30 mins before drinks other than water. The 2 alcoholic drinks we were served were un drinkable. I'm expecting to wait a bit for food but when we received our fillet medallions though cooked to temp we wanted must have sat in the window for some time because they were extremely dry on the outside. My boys ordered country fried chicken so maybe was waiting on that to finish. Regardless my wife and I are still talking today how it was our worst experience we've ever had at Texas Roadhouse over the years. Our waiter seemed very green so maybe that was part of it. We will be back again I'm sure although this doesn't scream to do that. We always choose y'all over the others because we've come to expect a dining experience worth the money you pay unlike so many others. I hope we can continue that expectation in the future. Sometimes you run into that one particular location, employee, or service that just has to be acknowledged for being special and at this location it is was the food (specifically my steak) and the service we received from our waitress Morgan. The steak I ordered was an absolute delight. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Morgan, our wonderful waitress, truly made our meal memorable. Her friendly demeanor and accommodating service really stood out. She was attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed. Food came out fast and our glasses never came close to being empty. We were told no table was available we tried to explain to the arrogant hostess that we had older people who could not sit in a booth, and were seated 20 minutes(was no wait line) later at a booth with a pull out extension and portable folding chairs. One gentleman changed the folding chair for a regular chair and was told he could not do that. Finally found him a hard chair to sit in instead of a flimsy folding chair.
