After eating over expensive pizza and pasta in tourist trap restaurants everyday for the past two weeks, we really looked forward to having something more reminiscent of home. We had chicken tenders and good old fries and a burger. Both were fresh and delicious. The portions are huge. Inside is very clean. The tables, the sauce containers, the dishes, etc. every thing is clean, The manager is present watching the staff to make sure all is okay. Our servers were sweet and kind. The milk had an off sweet taste. Toast was ok. The meats, bacon and sausage were simply disgusting. Took one bite of each, and instantly had an unsettled stomach and felt nauseous. Tried the vegan sausage and was just not happening to take more than a bite. Left not feeling well, and shortly after it all came back up. Whatever was in the meats was something inedible. So bad I would put off ever eating here again. One would think the quality of ingredients would be consistent with the others, this wasn't. If you don't like off-tasting meats, find any other place. This was a fun place to visit, it did remind us of home in Las Vegas. The music was familiar and the memorabilia on the walls was fun to look at. We went for breakfast, so that is what I'm reviewing. I cannot say how the bar service is since I did not use that. We got the rocker breakfast, and it was ok. The tomato was not easy to cut into and the cappuccino was subpar. They didn't bring out the sugar which has been a standard practice at any place we've ever gone to in Europe. They also didn't bring out syrup for the pancake my husband got. We had to wait so long, to see the server again, that the pancake was cold by the time the syrup arrived. They don't offer fresh squeezed orange juice which was surprising because most places, even Starbucks out here does. read more

When spending €17 for a foh'kin mojito, I expect it to be either: a) Properly done and tasty! b) Super loaded with rum/alcohol c) Gargantuan (size-wise) d) Laced with some sort of illegal drug Alas, size was average (no complains there, I am not a fan of those buckets with 10 straws)... so I had high expectations upon the first sip. Instead it left me empty and very sad, as if I had just listened to Adele's entire first album. The mint wasn't crushed but used as a garnish.... sugar was minimal (and completely dissolved).... drink was weak and watered down. Mojito fail. Hard Rock saved itself from a two star review because our server Loreto was a cool dude, the interior design is beautiful, and they stay open for Super Bowl ('merica... phu¢k yeah!). Pretty much the only people who come here are homesick American students or expats and tourists/locals who want some sort of American experience. It's a pretty cool place, just wish the drinks lived up to its name. My next mission here is to eat my weight in food - I heard their portions are massive. Will report back! Hard rock cafe has been open for over a year now and inside it is absolutely gorgeous, they have tried to keep the original theater vibe going while still making it a venue for live music and great drinks and food. While I would have preferred that the theater would have stayed I have been here a few times. I always get the nachos since in Florence, it is practically impossible to get good nachos (makes sense..we're in Italy) and they are good. I give them three stars because well, it's expensive. I don't really want to spend 16 euros for a burger and fries, it's not like it's made with truffle, and 3 or 4 for a soft drink. That being said a few times a year is all you really need. On another note we did happen to go during their anniversary when they offered their legendary burger for only 71 cents! despite this huge discount with two soft drinks and a shared dessert, we still spent close to 17 euros between two of us. If you are visiting Florence, eat Italian food and don't come here. But if you are craving something from home and you are living here, by all means, enjoy yourself. read more

We took a taxi over to this Hard Rock Cafe in Florence. We were greeted and seated quickly. So far so good. We sat for 15 min saw 3 different waiters go past us. Not one acknowledged us not one came by to take our drink orders. At the 15 min mark my wife and I walked out. We did let the staff know how terrible their restaurant service was. This is a magnificent location and the most beautiful Hard Rock I've ever been to. When feeling hungry for some American food and a 50' musical (Greese was playing), this place is a Hit for an all American date night ;) Burgers are very good, it is not prime quality meat but overall good. Service got a little lost in translation here, they are soooo slow.... I wonder if these kids worked in America they would starve to death, but hey, we're in Italy and customer service lacks in most places.... This is hands down the best HRC of all those I have been to. When they first opened back in 2011, it wasn't great. Both service and food were so so. Back then I would have given two stars. Now I'm going with 5 - probably more like 4,5, but 4 wouldn't do them justice. The staff are great, on every level as I see it. That goes for servers, bartenders, baristi, the staff in the shop, and obviously the guys back in the kitchen. And manager is very present, walking around making sure everyone is happy. One time I even had him print my Fiorentina ticket for me, as I had left mine at the hotel before going to the game! The food is real quality. Even the fajitas meat is cooked to perfection after your preference. I do love Italian food, and I eat that a lot whenever in Florence. But that doesn't stop me from going to Hard Rock. Usually at least once per day when in town. If just for a coffee. Or a drink, a snack, some dessert. Or a full meal. Yes it is American food, but it is done with Italian perfection. Sometimes combining the best of two worlds become pretty great! Oh and they do have Italian pizza (at least I think they still do). I also love the Italian style bar they have out in the front. I know, I know.. I'm in Italy so what the heck was I doing eating at the Hard Rock?! Well, after 2+ weeks in Italy I really needed something besides Italian food and Italy is not known for having a variety of ethnic restaurants so this was pretty much it in terms of a reprieve from Italian food. So going into the HR with somewhat low expectations as the food has always been kinda mediocre at the US venues I've tired. I don't know if it was that I was just so happy to have something non-Italian or that the American food here just tasted better but I have to say the burgers here were delicious! I got the buffalo burger which was super tasty and cooked perfectly. My friend got chicken wings that she really liked. Service was also pretty good -- our waiter was super funny and friendly. We were checked on several times by a variety of people and didn't lack for much. Yes, the ambiance was mostly tourists but it still had a fun rock n roll vibe and they were playing foo Fighters videos on the big screen so how can you complain about that? ;) read more

I read some of the negative reviews but my wife and I decided we would still try the place. Not a good decision. The service and the drinks were great. However, my wife ordered the chicken caesar salad and it was not the best. We are not sure if there was a nexus but she felt sick later that same evening. I thought I would play it safe with the Legend cheese burger. Despite having cheddar cheese, bacon, and lettuce the taste was bland (I took the onion ring out and ate that separately, and it was quite good). Also, the bread for the bun was odd since it basically crumbled and fell apart. I am not sure if it was from the brioche bread (as other reviewers noted) but I have never had that happen before while eating a burger. I recommend going elsewhere if you are looking for a €20 American cheeseburger. read more

My wife and I make it a point to visit Hard Rock Cafes in our travels, mainly because we enjoy collecting the Tshirts from around the world. Some reasons being that the shirts at the Hard Rock Cafes are outstanding quality and last a long time, unlike shirts from souvenir stands that are so thin you can read through them. Plus, the Hard Rock Shirts are a bit edgy at times and are a nice conversation piece. Now, that said, let's talk about the place! This is without a doubt the coolest Hard Rock Cafe my wife and I have ever seen, and we have seen many. The lighting fixture over the bar is made with Cymbals and is so flippin' cool! The atmosphere is amazing and there is a huge stage where they could have shows if they wanted, and I sure hope that they do! I yucked it up a bit with some folks from Singapore and we had some laughs and a good time taking photos around the sign inside. Oh, sorry, the food? Well, it's the Hard Rock. Burgers, American fare, you know. It's pretty good stuff. Not gonna bowl you over, but it that really why you're here? This Hard Rock is awesome and the coolest one my wife and I have seen. Stopped in here for a beer and pins (oh, and of course American bathrooms and AC!!). As always, Hard Rock employs cheerful, helpful workers and this place was no exception. You really got the sense that they appreciated your business! The bar and store open a few hours before the restaurant, so keep that in mind if you're dropping in for lunch. When in Italy, of course you have to drink Cappuccino and eat authentic pasta. But sooner or later, you just need some good American comfort food -- and American service. Came here for a quick American meal and was in for a rude shock. 1. The service was odd at best considering that they had plenty of staff and only 30% full. 2. The food was less than adequate as well. The Cobb salad was decent but they forgot to bring the dressing. The "Big " cheeseburger was not so big and medium came out rarer than rare. It was like bloody and running. Nice though that they comped that one dish. Odd that they said this was how Italians cooked medium. From a person that lives steak tartare and my steaks "blue", I love it raw and rare! This however was a mistake. The ribs, they don't do half racks. Agh. The shakes. What happened to the awesome shakes without alcohol and all the extra they would poor out for you as well? Not now nice. We are from the US and came here because we missed American food and because we read that customer service was great, which we missed as well. First of all, we waited 15 minutes after we got seated and no one was waiting our table. Finally someone came after we complained to 2 waiters and a manager. Second, they advertise their fresh buns so much on the menu, but the bread was OLD. It was literally falling apart as we were eating it and it wasn't soft or fresh. The burger was good but the bread really ruined it for us. Lastly...a soda is 4.50 Euros!! That's almost $5, which is pretty ridiculous. We wished we would've just eaten our 100th pizza or bowl of pasta after this experience and saved our cravings for when we were back home. The environment is nice in the restaurant, it's clean, chill and they had good music. But personally don't think it's worth it. read more

Overall this is one of the best Hard Rock Cafes I have ever been to. The local for this venue is fantastic, it is located in a converted movie theater in Piazza della Repubblica. The food is fantastic, and honestly, it has the best American food in Florence. Hands down. The waiters and waitresses have personality and a great sense of humor. The drink menu is great, and includes some good margaritas I liked this place so much that I have my group's Christmas party here and it turned out fantastically. Great job Hard Rock! read more

Fantastico! We have been ending up here every night while in Florence. And it has been exciting each night. Then again, our wedding party can run over 10 strong and the lot of us are very friendly. The staff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable of the area. Drinks are expensive but that comes with the night life territory. Their music choice is usually soft/cry rock but they will take requests for better music. It is the normal Hard Rock Cafe affair if you are American... but in Italy. What more could you want?
