We had an excellent experience at this resto, from the little seat they gave me for my bag to the polite and warm service. It was not stuffy or stuck up-- we felt very welcomed and walked through the menu without condescension. Food wise we tried a bit of a lot, and were very impressed! Seafood, salad, steak, and sides-- all were delicious and cooked perfectly. Will absolutely be back!

Came here immediately after coming from another restaurant. This place has a few floors of private rooms using the elevator to get up and down. Washrooms are on each floor. When we arrived there was no hostess to take you to your seat but just security at the front entrance. We didn't know where to go but we checked each floor to see which private rooms we were in. Being an upscale restaurant I expected more effort. Not sure if it was because we were a late party, regardless it was not a cheap bill for sure. The steak was quite delicious despite it being cold. I really enjoyed the carbonara too, simple but it was good. The caprese salad was delicious and the lamb was really good as well. I would certainly come here again.

I went to Harbour 60 and it was an great experience overall. This was my first time visiting after hearing so much about this restaurant from friends and coworkers in passing. My girlfriend surprised me and brought me here for my birthday! We were seated very quickly as we had reservations set. I was surprised to see how casual people were dressed inside as I was under the impression that there would have been a dress code of some sort. For our starter, we had gotten the Buttermilk Calamari, and it was 10/10. By far the freshest calamari I have ever tasted!! For main, we had gotten the New York Strip and the Mac and Cheese as well as Fried Brussels Sprouts as our sides. The Brussel Sprouts were 10/10, but the Mac was a solid 6/10 in my opinion. It was suggest to us, however in my opinion, it didn't live up to the hype. I didn't feel for dessert, but they brought me out a plate that said happy birthday and I was caught so off guard! Truly was the cherry on top to end off the evening. I must say our waiter was amazing!! Until the next time

Truly had a wonderful evening at Harbor 60. We had a resy and were seated promptly. Ash, our server, was spot on with his kindness, recommendations and overall hospitality. Rolls were warm and delish. Filet was cooked perfect medium rare. Atmosphere was cozy and elegant. We would most definitely return on our next trip.

Visited Harbour 60 on a Friday night. The restaurant is in a glamorized tent (a very nice one - reminded me of wedding venues) that had white drapes, chandelier, trees, and purple light accents. To start, there is complimentary bread/butter and cheese/olives platter. We tried out the following dishes: Ribeye steak (medium rare): our favourite dish of the night. We enjoyed the fatiness of the ribeye steak which gave a tenderness to each bite. Very tasty and would recommend. Lobster mashed potato: our second favourite dish of the night. We both enjoy mashed potato in general and the lobster elevated the taste. Truffle Mac & Cheese: we did not love the mac & cheese - it was okay, sort of bland. We thought the other dishes stood out more. Tagliatelle Di Mare: the pasta was a bit too al dente for me. Didn't think it was anything special. Enjoyed the seafood components though. Baked Alaska: we were honestly very full but tried the dessert anyway. It's two layers of ice cream on top of a dense cake I believe. There is cream on the outside and liquid poured for the fire is alcohol. The presentation was fun and and visually appealing - but we only took a few bites. A dessert for at least 4 people. The service was great and attentive. Would rate 3.7/5.

Agnolotti - Beware of undeclared ingredients (NUTS/tree nuts)

I visited Arianna just after they opened and honest review as follows: *Unique concept that differs from their well know steakhouse, although many of the food options are similar *The aura and concept of the venue is leaning towards a livelier experience (although we were one of the only patrons there) *Staff were attentive and pleasant *Price point is quite high for what you get, food and drink wise, although not surprising *There was nothing outstanding about the food itself; In fact, it was quite bland overall. We had to ask for chili oil and lemon to adjust the dishes on our own ****Just as an FYI, and a word of caution, the menu doesn't specifically state many individual dish components and how dishes are prepared. This is particularly concerning as they use tree nuts garnished over many of the dishes and quite liberally, to the point where it took away from every single dish. We ordered the oyster mushrooms, thinking that they would be the typical baked ones, but instead and not mentioned on the menu, they were deep fried, and so offputting. Similarly, I could barely see or even taste my octopus which was doused in fried shallots and covered up with overpowering escarole. *Dessert - Cherry cheesecake was definitely not the same as the original from Harbour 60 and tasted quite odd *The best part of the meal was my Old Fashioned. I can't say that I have a reason to return here myself, and I found the same with Harbour 60. This is not to discourage others at all from experiencing it for yourselves, just my honest experience.

Todays visit 1/21/23 is quite different than normal. This evening, Harbour 60 was hosting Johnnie Walker liquors. So there was no dining inside the building. But you were inside a party tent. The inside was amazing and very eye catching. For a 10:30p dinner the place was pack. Looking over the menu, you come across so many great options. Now understand one thing, this restaurant isn't cheap by any means. But the quality, and preparation of the food is next level. Well worth the cost, and well worth a visit here. Japanese Wagyu steak (10oz)- The steak was full of flavor and so mouthwatering. That I was eating the steak, with my eyes closed. It was that good. Shrimp cocktail (3)-Huge pieces of shrimp Chilean sea bass- Perfect crispy skin on the Sea bass. I really like the lemon herb crumb, that was the bedding of the Sea Bass. The flavor profile of the entree was amazing. Cocktails- The quality of the liquor was top shelf, and they did amazing job with the drinks Carrot cake- OMG best carrot cake I have had

Every dish was very well executed. Jadene was a very friendly and professional server. Caesar salad was phenomenal, as were the sprouts.

Buttermilk fried cauliflower

My boyfriend surprised me by booking a dinner on a Friday night at this restaurant. I was surprised that it was a restaurant, as the exterior looked very unassuming- it looked like an old building. The vibe was energetic- the place was divided into two sections. The waitress welcomed us and another staff checked-in our coats. Then we were led to our table. A young lady was our waitress for the evening. She introduced herself and left, so that we could read the menu. When she came back, we ordered two non-alcoholic drinks, buttermilk fried cauliflower (side), Beverly Creek Farms lamb chops (boyfriend's main) and Tagliatelle Di Mare (my main). While waiting, we drank our drinks- they were refreshing and lightly sweet! The buttermilk fried cauliflower was lightly crispy, tangy, and a little bit spicy (due to the blue cheese dressing). The portion size was generous, so we ate them slowly so that we could eat our main dish. When our main dishes have arrived, we were excited. At this point, our waitress changed to a young man, and he was our waiter for the rest of the evening. My dish, Tagliatelle Di Mare, was delicious- the noodles were soft and chewy, and the seafood pieces were juicy. My boyfriend also enjoyed his dish, Beverly Creek Farms lamb chops- he said the lamb chops were juicy and he liked the generous portion size. We could not finish the entire dish, so we asked for a takeout container to take the rest home. For dessert, we got gelato and sorbet (comes with three scoops). Our waiter helped us to narrow down the flavours. To our surprise, we ended up getting four scoops of gelato (two scoops in each cup)! Each gelato was delicious- our favourite was pistachio flavour, it had the deep nutty flavour. We had a great time and we talked about coming back to try other items! This restaurant has won numerous awards for its food and for its romantic vibe, so you know where to pick when you're looking for a great place to go to! :)

Complimentary antipasto platter with bread

I kept hearing about the mac and cheese from this place, and as a mac and cheese fanatic I had to come give it a try. We got the ribeye, lamb chops and Mac and cheese. The meal started off with a complimentary bread and antipasto platter made up of cheese, pickled peppers, olives and garlic. The bread was actually quite nice, there was a plain one and a cheesy one. The steak and lamb chops were cooked perfectly and were nice and flavourful. The ribeye size isn't noted on the menu but it is quite large and I think you could probably even share it. The most disappointing part of our meal was actually the item I was looking forward to the most. The Mac and cheese was quite rich but honestly very flavourless. Even some salt and pepper would have helped a bit. I didn't realize that there are two entrances to the building - I entered through their temporary outdoor patio entrance (though it was fully enclosed so not really a patio) and that's where we ended up being seated. I sort of wish we had gone to the main building instead as the neon purple aesthetic in the tent felt more like a funky bar than an upscale steakhouse. Our server was extremely attentive and our glasses were very promptly refilled. I noticed that there were a ton of waiters for the amount of tables in the establishment, it seemed like there was almost one waiter per table. Overall the experience was nice and the food was better than some other upscale restaurants I've been to around Toronto, but the decor and their Mac and cheese held them back from getting 5 stars.

Lobster mashed potatoes (4.5/5), Japanese A5 Wagyu (5/5), Duck egg and steak (2.5/5, they ran out of truffles)
Jasmine L.

Wow, as my first official steakhouse experience, this was definitely an indulgent and posh spot to dine. HACK#1: they have free valet parking HACK#2: they have complimentary antipasto plate as a starter Cocktail and wine list was immense and unique. We got 2 of their special edition cocktails which we enjoyed. As for the star of the night...the steaks. We chose JAPANESE A5 WAGYU 10oz - it was like beef butter, but had the slightest thin crisp of char from the cook. Sprinkle just a bit of that volcanic salt, MMM!! It was sooo soft and rich, it coated all my taste buds! 10oz was seriously more than enough to share between the 2 of us. Our next choice was the BLACK TRUFFLE DUCK EGG STEAK - which unfortunately ran out of truffles that day, so it was just an egg. The steak was perfect medium rare, but honestly having it after the wagyu was like night and day. This steak had a more 'meaty' flavour and fibrous texture & char. We also ordered the LOBSTER MASHED POTATOES (moderate chunks of lobster & creamy smooth mash) and CRISPY CRAB CAKES (amazing crab cakes with so much crab meat!!). Overall, the standouts was just how fine dining the atmosphere was, the Japanese Wagyu, and the Crab cakes for me. The service was a little weird, our waiter spoke quite casually to us and snapped at one of the waiting staff in front of us.

Free cheese/olives/peppers/garlic butter for your Toast

Came here on a Tuesday night around 9. Pretty quiet. Personally i like the quiet, makes me enjoy the surrounding a bit more than crowded hours. We got seated on the high seat tables by the bar. Our server came within minutes. We ordered the harbour sixty Caesar salad and the 14 oz Filet Mignon (medium) as our mains. We also ordered mushrooms, home-cut fries and white truffle Mac and Cheese on the side. First, the toast and the free topping came. You can always ask them to have the free toast toasted. The toppings are very favourable. I personally love the herb butter and parmesan cheese, not too heavy, great way to start up an appetite. The main course came in roughly 20minutes. That took a bit longer than i expected. Fyi: All food that comes out will be served by the server, if you want to take pictures of the food or urself, remember to tell them to "stop" before they start scooping. The salad was favourable, not too saucy or dry. Great balance between the crunch and freshness that is coming from the veggies. 5/5 The filet mignon was very disappointing. We ordered medium, but you cut through the middle, the mignon is more on the medium rare to rare side, meanwhile the end parts of the steak was overcooked, very dry and "crispy". Very disappointing. 1/5 The sides came, personally i thought the sides will be in smaller portions since it is a "side". But everything is full size. Which i love. We ordered the mushrooms, home cut fried and mac and cheese. The mushrooms are served in a steel plate, super favourable and juicy. Only thing is they use a lot of butter, which gets a bit oily by the end. 4/5 The mac and cheese is PHENOMENAL! I HAVE NO WORDS. The size of the mac and cheese can literally be a main course. I would say if you love cheese, this is MADE FOR YOU. But if you think cheese is too thick or heavy, this may not be something you are looking for~ 5/5 Only thing i was shocked was the homecut fries, it looked very "cheap". Like somewhere you can get at a street food cart. Its very thin and long. Not too much flavour and texture. 2/5. Overall, the food was amazing, i love l how generous the portions of the side dishes were. You can literally come in and order a couple sides, which is equivalent to the price of ONE steak. The only disappointment for the night was the steak (which they highly promote) and their homemade fries, I did expected more since it is relatively on a higher price point. But of course, if i do not include the fries and the steak, everything else was 5/5!

But when Toronto…read moreLife hosted a special TL Insider dinner ($225 per person, inclusive of taxes and gratuities), curiosity won out. The prices listed below reflect the regular menu, though portions at the event were likely smaller than standard service. The evening began with a beef skewer ($31), featuring cubes of barbecued beef glazed in teriyaki and topped with plenty of chives. Unfortunately, consistency was an issue. Other guests raved about how tender theirs were, while mine arrived overcooked. It wasn't inedible, but it certainly wasn't tender. One of the restaurant's newer additions is its aged fish program, so I was eager to try the dry-aged salmon ($33). Listed as a "crudo," I expected delicate slices in a citrusy sauce, but it arrived as another skewer. The texture was undeniably smooth, with the dry aging removing any chewiness, but the salmon also developed a gaminess that lingered unpleasantly. A marinade or thinner slicing might help balance things out. I'm glad their signature Caesar salad ($24) remains excellent. It's beautifully balanced with acidity, savouriness, and thoughtful touches like buttery breadcrumbs and bacon bits that aren't rock hard. It's still one of the better Caesars in the city, though tableside preparation now costs an additional $10. Fans of tartare will likely appreciate the beef tartare ($41), which is prepared traditionally with minimally dressed hand-cut beef. Personally, I wanted more contrast in texture or flavour, though tartare has never been my go-to dish. I did appreciate the accompaniments of buttery crostini and gem lettuce leaves, which offered a lighter way to enjoy it. And for fans like me, don't worry their cheese bread puffs still make an appearance (along with their take home chocolate muffins). What continues to shine at Jacobs is the steak itself. The 40-day dry aged striploin was cooked beautifully, developing a crust that locked in the juices while maintaining tenderness despite being a leaner cut. The seasoning is more restrained, which allowed the volcanic sea salt and chimichurri on the side to actually enhance the beef rather than overwhelm it. The pecorino broccolini ($22) had me almost finishing off the plate and is such a nice accompaniment with the rich beef. The only disappointment was the duck fat fries ($21), which arrived lukewarm and slightly stale, likely a casualty of serving a packed dining room. Dessert ended the evening on a high note. The crème brulee ($21) was fantastic with visible vanilla bean specks throughout the silky custard. The sugar topping was thin and delicate, avoiding that overly sweet crunch some versions suffer from. Served alongside a sizeable chocolate biscotti and a fragrant orange shortbread cookie, it's easily large enough to share. With the expanded dining room, the front-of-house team has clearly grown as well. The staff is younger and fresher-faced, so any old-school steakhouse stuffiness has largely disappeared. More importantly, the service remains polished and attentive, and we were well taken care of throughout the evening.

The foie gras is rich and perfectly seared, the octopus tender with a bit of char, and the steaks are cooked and seasoned with precision. Every course feels intentional and balanced. Alongside the expected dill pickles are snap peas, celery, fennel, carrots, and onions. It's a refreshing way to start the meal and a welcome palate cleanser between bites once the meat sweats inevitably kick in. Even the Caesar salad ($27; half order pictured after being split) has evolved, now topped with a thick strip of tender, beautifully caramelized bacon. The dressing packs plenty of flavour: lots of garlic, a subtle anchovy umami, a touch of sweetness that may come from sherry, and a zingy finish that tastes like a generous helping of horseradish. Even split between two people, it's still an impressively hearty starter. The dry-aged bone-in rib steak ($108 for 16oz) remains Barberian's signature dish and was fantastic as always. Charcoal grilling lends it a subtle smokiness, while the beautifully caramelized crust gives way to a perfectly medium-rare centre. Their signature seasoning adds plenty of flavour without becoming overly salty. Compared to previous visits, the bone seemed slightly smaller, but the beef itself was every bit as flavourful and wonderfully tender. Still, it was the roast prime rib of beef ($96) that had my eyes popping. The towering, nearly two-inch-thick slice made me wonder whether I'd accidentally been served a double portion. There's no choice of doneness with the prime rib, and mine was a touch rarer than I normally prefer, but it remained incredibly tender. The intensely seasoned crust was delicious enough to break off and enjoy with each bite. I actually preferred pairing it with a smear of horseradish and some of that seasoning over the accompanying red wine demi-glace, which leaned a little too sweet for my taste. Give me a simple au jus any day. As if the portion weren't generous enough, the prime rib also comes with the rib bone, a satisfyingly meaty beef bone, and a massive Yorkshire pudding that's wonderfully airy with an incredibly crisp exterior. Every steak also includes your choice of French fries or a baked potato. We both opted for the latter: a fist-sized fluffy potato finished tableside with your choice of sour cream, bacon bits, and feta. While the sour cream is a classic topping, the feta adds a creamy saltiness that works surprisingly well. Needless to say, you'll leave stuffed. In our case, we packed up enough prime rib to make sandwiches for two the following evening. Fortunately, I had wisely saved room for dessert. The New York style cheesecake ($22.50) was beautifully balanced: rich without being heavy, dense yet silky smooth, with a thin crust that added just enough savoury contrast. The fresh strawberry sauce complemented the cheesecake perfectly without overwhelming it with sweetness. Blueberry and chocolate are also available if you prefer.

There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

Service was great. We had a most attentive server and to boot she got me the frites as for some…read morereason we got fries that were not quite as skinny as frites but more like French fries. They cook them in beef tallow which for me is a bonus cause that adds a lot of flavour. However I noticed a difference between the regular fries vs the frites. The frites were much better. The salad was amazing with the candied walnuts The steak was good. I still thought it was slightly overcooked for medium rare. We also had the one of the desserts. $20 for a slice of cake!! It was 5 layers and made in house. I would go back again though I might fuss over the doneness my steak next time. I was just happy to be there and enjoy their back patio which was so lovely in the summer. Though I did a wasp that just wouldn't leave for a while Overall it was good. 4 stars cause the steak did not arrive medium rare

Expectations were exceeded at J's…read more It started right when we walked in and the host offered to take our coats. Our server proceeded to explain their 2-course menu - candied walnut salad with a side of bread, a 10oz steak & UNLIMITED fries for $60/person We ordered our steak in medium-rare and it was so tender & juicy, paired with their butter sauce - it was heavenly What's better than unlimited fries is the fact that it's fresh out of the fryer! no cold soggy fries in da house ‍ it tasted like McDonald's fries but on CRACK After our meal, our server brought out 4 different types of dessert for us to choose - so boujee purr They rotate their dessert frequently. We went with the 4-layer red velvet cake with a layer of cheesecake in the middle. & since we mentioned to the host we're celebrating a birthday, they included a candle for a sweet touch Overall, great food, amazing service. 10/10 no notes.

Our first sojourn into the Alo family of restaurants…read more.. Ambiance: a hellacute "dinette" format with retro 70s stylings done with contemporary class. Perfectly lighted, which seems odd to say but yeah, it makes a difference. Service: Impeccable. Professional, friendly, helpful but also unobtrusive. Food: TL;DR: "ooh la la" We started with the torched hamachi crudo, which was a symphony of flavour on the palate. The fish was perfectly prepared and struck with just the right texture and char. The candied ginger hits with some zesty accompaniment. In another instant, you're transported to Southeast Asia with a soothing coconutty, tamarind (?) dressing and finally, your head turns (in a good way) when the jalapeño hits. Every bite was a trip. We were in a foodie trance when the next courses arrived. The triple fried French fries were as good as they sounded. There's no picture because my mouth was faster than my camera. The lobster & shrimp fritters were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with crustacean flavour. The sauce was another hit of tang and zest. I think the gastronomical term for how we ate them is "wolfing." The Brussels sprouts were smaller and more flavourful than you commonly find on menus featuring this on-trend appetizer. They were perfectly caramelized and seasoned. The peanuts offered a nice crunchy contrast. We finished with the lemon meringue pie which was a visual and sweet feast in and of itself. I favoured the crust and the meringue topping to the ultra sweet and tart filling but all three shone together in concert. The meringue especially was a gooey, marshmallowy party that spilled over the rest of the dessert. I finished with an Amaro Meletti, which was a nice caramel-cola flavoured digestif and would make a fantastic sorbet (hint to the chefs for a summer treat). Allez chez Aloette, gentile Aloette

The interior, especially the furniture needs a refresh. Service is good, our server was knowledgeable. We had the 12oz Prime Striploin medium-rare, Grilled Duo Lamb and Triple Cooked Fries. The presentation was nice, cooked with near perfection, except the fries. However, the selection of meat cut/quality really needs improvement. The price vs quality falls far below for a great rating.
