I visited this restaurant on my birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I had called and made a reservation three weeks in advance, specifically asking if we would be allowed to access the back area to take photos. I was told over the phone that it wouldn't be a problem. Based on that, my partner and I arrived an hour early on the day of the reservation to take photos. However, when we asked upon arrival, we were abruptly told "no" without any explanation. The staff member's tone was rude and dismissive -- she simply said we couldn't and suggested we take pictures elsewhere, adding that there were plenty of other good spots. When we asked another staff member for clarification, we were told the patio was under construction and the alternate entrance was closed. Eventually, we spoke to a supervisor who kindly checked with the castle staff and arranged for us to go upstairs to take photos instead. He asked the original staff member to escort us, but even then, she continued to make unnecessary, unprofessional remarks -- such as, "Well, we can't control the weather." From the moment she greeted us, her attitude was unwelcoming. She made no attempt to listen or offer any accommodation until directed by her supervisor, and her ongoing tone and remarks were incredibly disrespectful. I was genuinely holding back tears walking upstairs because of how she was speaking down to me. I wanted to leave right then and there but i didn't want to get charged $50 per person for last minute cancellations. We also already paid $20 for parking at this point While the food was good, service and atmosphere are just as important at a restaurant of this caliber -- and this experience completely ruined the occasion for me. We had also dined here for Valentine's Day the year before, and service then was similarly underwhelming. We returned this time because we enjoyed the food and hoped for a better experience. Sadly, this visit confirmed we won't be coming back. There are many other restaurants in Toronto that offer both excellent food and respectful service -- I would not recommend this one. Save your money and please go somewhere else.

I came here for my husband and I's anniversary and we truly enjoyed our time there! The staff are super attentive during our meal and made great recommendations! Our steak was perfectly cooked and our sides were absolutely delicious! We would definitely come again for future celebrations! Note - there is paid parking on site I or you can also opt for paid valet parking as well.

Top-top steakhouse here everyone. Obviously you can't beat the 'decor' as it's literally housed in the Gothic Revival mansion in midtown. Steaks, sushi (surprsingly, right?), and drinks all grade A.

I took my husband here for dinner and we loved the setting, the atmosphere and the service...the food was great, but I would not say that it blew me away. We got a three cheese plate and it was really good....for dinner, we got the Wagyu sampler, which came with an American, Australian and Japanese filet samples (4 oz each). I definitely loved the Japanese one the best...then the American, then the Australian. Great dining experience, but I don't know if I would repeat the sampler.

It's a nice place for a special occasion. The restaurant and surroundings are beautiful. Nice ambience inside the restaurant. The food is hit or miss, specially the steak and octopus , never consistent. Their Caesar salad is always delicious.

We made a reservation for dinner on a Monday and were warmly welcomed by the staff upon arrival. We had to wait a few minutes for our table, and unfortunately, we were seated next to a group of 12 men celebrating a birthday. It was fine at first as we sat by the fireplace, but as they had enough to drink and became very loud and disrupted our meal. I think the hostess could have reserved this section for their group and seated us elsewhere, so both parties could have a better experience. On the bright side, the food was really good. We had the "Prime Steak Tartare in Bone Marrow Canoe" and "BlueBlood Chopped Salad" for appetizers. The steak tartare was fresh and flavorful, but the chopped salad was just okay, nothing special. For the main course, we ordered the "American, Mishima Reserve 6 oz Filet Mignon Wagyu" with "Morel Mushroom Sauce," cooked medium. The Wagyu was incredible--so tender and juicy, it melted in your mouth. For dessert, we had the "Tableside Baked Alaska for Two," and it was a joy to watch it being prepared and served.

Still no call backs from them. Disappointment at its finest. You'll get better service elsewhere for your money

Queen & Prince lives in castles, and this steakhouse is in a castle

We always want to try a good steakhouse whenever we travel, so this one was our number 1 choice in Toronto. The location was quite unique, being located in an old historic castle (Casa Loma). There is a large mandatory parking lot due to the no street parking around the area. *Reservations required here* We ordered the wagyu steakburger, 44 oz tomahawk, 12 oz of kobe steak (@ $40 cad per oz), side of creamed corn, and truffle potato gratin. All the food tasted delicious, especially the kobe steak, because it melted in your mouth- sooo good! The dry aged tomahawk was a little overcooked (we requested medium rare) & chewy but still yummy. The creamed corn was probably the best side I've ever had with steak, being extra sweet and very flavorful, truffle potato was good too. The burger was cooked to perfection with a pic of the castle+BB embossed on the bun, duck fat fries were okay. While the food was being prepared, we were able to take a tour of the castle, which was beautiful. The decor revolved around a princess and a prince theme. Food was quite pricey but worth it because we left happy and full. Not to mention, our server, Sergio, was absolutely amazing, making our experience even better!

Beautiful restaurant & ambience. It's always a nice feeling going to Casa Loma. I really enjoyed all the food & win, except for the steak. I found the steak very fatty & not cooked correctly. However, I would still go back as I enjoy the ambience & the other options on the menu.

This is the most amazing steakhouse experience. We had such an amazing time during our dining experience . Our server did an amazing job helping us pick our meals and answering questions about the menu. We also worked with the sommelier who did a great job helping us pick a wine that would work with all the meals we ordered. The steakhouse venue is so cool and interesting. Definitely, take a few minutes to at least walk through the first floor. The dining room is really cool too. The woodwork is very detailed and beautiful. My ribeye steak was perfect. The Wagyu steak by the ounce was absolutely perfect. We all enjoyed our cocktails and wine. If you are in Toronto definitely make a reservation and enjoy a very special meal here.

Very nice ambiance! The food was delicious overall I'd highly recommend the Ribeye and the lobster mac and cheese. The staff were very kind!

The experience of dining here plays a huge factor in my rating. It's a castle, so everything looks and feels like royalty. You're treated like a special guest from the moment you walk in. We had reserved an outdoor pod for some privacy and it's nice, as you're able to enjoy the weather while still being a little more tucked away. For appetizers, we had the steak tartare in bone marrow canoe and it was an interesting dish. It did look pretty cool and I've never had something like it. It tasted pretty good but I probably wouldn't order it again. I also had a caesar salad; I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get it because their menu says minimum of two people and my boyfriend can't eat caesar salads, but that is just for the tableside caesar. I was surprised by how much I could taste the anchovy flavour in the salad. It tasted fresh, and was a nice twist to your classic caesar salad. I was already getting full at this point so I opted to just order the lobster mac as my main and my boyfriend had the 12oz strip loin. The lobster mac, I had high hopes for - I LOVE mac and cheese so I thought this was sure to be a hit. But it was such a huge let down. It tasted so fishy, the sauce was watery and not cheesy at all, and the taste was just bad. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak, though, so I guess there's that. We had written that it was our anniversary so they kindly gave us two champagne glasses on the house. Our server was really lovely; he gave us a little tour of the castle (the parts that he was allowed to show us) after our meal and gave us some fun history facts. We got to take a look at the garden (there was a separate event happening so couldn't actually walk in) and of course, the iconic view from the terrace. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit for the views and getting to visit the castle. But I wasn't wow'ed by the food.

The best thing we ate that night was the complimentary bread - very similar to Yorkshire pudding. The wagyu fried rice was flavourful. The appetizers were mid and the Chef's Tasting steaks were ok albeit served lukewarm. The 30 days aged 32 oz bone in ribeye was extremely disappointing. It was very chewy and difficult to eat. Lots of fat and tough veins in the steak - it was not quality and definitely not worth $302. We didn't even eat half of it. Our server asked us if we wanted to pack it and we said no because it was disappointing and difficult to eat. He likely did not have training on how to respond as he completely ignored the comment, no apologies or further questions and cleared the rest of our table. It was really odd service for a highly rated steakhouse. I personally would not recommend Jacobs & Co and would not dine again here.

We ordered a bunch of things to share and the table ended up being full pretty quickly. Creamy, spicy, perfectly cooked pasta and one of those dishes where you keep going back for another bite even when you're already full. Drinks were solid too. The Pornstar Martini and the Hot & Bothered were both great and fit the vibe of the place. The space feels polished but still lively, especially around the bar. Definitely the kind of spot that works for a night out, drinks with friends, or a late dinner. If you go, do not skip the spicy vodka rigatoni. I would come back just for that.

There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037
