The man on the phone told me he did, so I got there in time to buy it. When I got there, he opened the package further (as it was already opened) to compare the two- and he said it would work. It didn't. I went back to the store and told the owner that the one he sold me was incorrect. When I asked for a refund, he stated that "there was a part missing from the top." It was not missing anything. The model he sold me was slightly smaller in length and was the incorrect part number according to Lowe's (which did sell me the correct part). I told him it wasn't missing any parts, but he called me a liar. He saw the item was new and unused, proving him wrong. When that didn't work, he said he won't refund it because the package was opened. It was... by him. I watched him open it. He called me a liar again. I went to my bank and disputed the charges- and was told I'd be issued a refund, and Granada Hills Hardware will have the charges reversed. Nobody likes to be called a liar. It could've been real easy, but your pride got in the way when you didn't like to be proven wrong. Now, I get to keep the cartridge, and a refund of $59.12 through my bank... and you get to keep a 1 star yelp review. Was it worth it?

We had no large bags or items with us--just a wallet--yet we were treated with a level of suspicion that did not seem warranted. At the same time, another customer (take a gander) in the store, who had a large backpack, which looked like it could fit an arsenal was able to shop freely without the same level of attention. The contrast in how we were treated was noticeable and concerning. Prior to visiting, I had already spoken with someone about purchasing a higher-priced item. However, due to the way we were treated during our visit, my husband and I decided not to move forward with the purchase. Instead, we chose to leave and spend our money elsewhere. He questioned if the price I was showing was even from Lowe's and asked if I pulled it from Home Depot. Sir. The Lowe's app is bright blue. Home Depot is pumpkin spice orange. What are we doing here. Then he told me I might be shopping in a different "virtual Lowe's" because each store can have different sales. Meanwhile, I literally just plucked the shower head off the shelf in this store. I walked him through the app step by step, scanned the product in front of him like he told me to, and the lower price still showed. And he still wouldn't help. Just dismissive energy all around.
