Looking at the back of the store.

I always find something I can use when shopping here. I mainly go for my husband. One time I bought him Daytona GoJacks and they worked perfect and got them for a great deal. They always have good sales going on and the store is always neat and clean. The parking lot has plenty of parking, but beware when trying to pull out during rush hour onto Valencia Blvd, it's super busy.

I had driven by Harbor Freight on many occasions but I needed some extra tools and safety equipment and my friend had said that I should check them out. Being that it is right on my drive to and from work it was easy for me to stop in. Note that this is on a very busy part of Valencia Blvd and at a curve in the road so be careful on the entrance and exit of the lot. I walked in and was immediately overwhelmed with the smell of tools and hardware...you know that smell? I worked in a small hardware store back in Texas when I was a kid and it smelled just like it...ah memories. So the first thing after the smell I noticed was the huge aisles filled with items of every type of thing that I have been buying elsewhere, but soon saw that I should have been buying here. I wandered around for about 15 minutes or so since I was only coming in for one thing and left with three. But this is a definite must if you need safety equipment items for a job site or tools of any type for what appears to be any job. Big selection and a lot of items on sale.

Why in the world am I giving HFT a full five stars? Because I can get the job done with minimal cost thanks to Harbor Freight. Tool elitists don't belong here. People who care about finishing their automotive, home improvement or construction work come here because the tools are good enough. Do I care that my wrench is chrome finished and has a brand name stamped on it? Heck no. I care that I can rebuild my cylinder head and I'm back on the road. The HFT torque wrench is just as accurate as my Snap-On, yes it's true. You'll find good enough tools and good customer service at fantastic prices.

    Clean and organized.

Great place for people who like to DIY or just tinker and learn some basic repairs around the house. With HFT you can grab some decent tools and get going on your project. Most of the tools are pretty good and the prices are even better. Some can be of cheaper quality and motors can burn out sooner than higher quality tools - but hey you get what you pay for. And for most people just doing minor repairs or quick weekend warrior backyard projects, the tools are great. The staff is friendly and helpful, although I wish there were a few more registers open when the line backs up. I don't know how many times I'm behind a person who is doing a return and then buying a new item with the coupons. Just open another register for those of us who are ready to pay. ;) This location seems good sized and well stocked. Aisles are clean and organized so browsing and finding things are a breeze. Gotta love the coupons too. You can always find a 20% off plus get a free gift!

*DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE*…read more It was just before closing time when I called Granada Hills Hardware and asked if they had a Delta shower faucet cartridge. The man on the phone told me he did, so I got there in time to buy it. When I got there, he opened the package further (as it was already opened) to compare the two- and he said it would work. It didn't. I went back to the store and told the owner that the one he sold me was incorrect. When I asked for a refund, he stated that "there was a part missing from the top." It was not missing anything. The model he sold me was slightly smaller in length and was the incorrect part number according to Lowe's (which did sell me the correct part). I told him it wasn't missing any parts, but he called me a liar. He saw the item was new and unused, proving him wrong. When that didn't work, he said he won't refund it because the package was opened. It was... by him. I watched him open it. He called me a liar again. I went to my bank and disputed the charges- and was told I'd be issued a refund, and Granada Hills Hardware will have the charges reversed. Nobody likes to be called a liar. It could've been real easy, but your pride got in the way when you didn't like to be proven wrong. Now, I get to keep the cartridge, and a refund of $59.12 through my bank... and you get to keep a 1 star yelp review. Was it worth it?

I had a major inconvenience with a project that had a hard deadline. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong, and my stress level was through the roof. As a disabled veteran, situations like this hit a little harder, and the pressure was overwhelming. The very next day, I spoke with Brian, the lead on Newhall Ranch Rd, and everything changed. He listened. He understood the urgency. And most importantly -- he created a solution on the spot that not only saved my project, but completely restored my peace of mind. Brian didn't just fix the issue -- he took ownership, communicated clearly, and handled the situation with a level of leadership and calm that's rare to find these days. His professionalism, empathy, and ability to resolve a complex problem so quickly made all the difference. Because of him, a crisis turned into a smooth recovery. Thank you, Brian. Your service, compassion, and dedication mean more than you know -- especially to a disabled veteran who relies on integrity and follow-through. You're a true asset to your company, and Newhall Ranch Rd is lucky to have you leading the way.

I walked into Lowe's in Golden Valley with one mission. Shower head or bust. I found my perfect…read moreone, checked the Lowe's app, and saw a glorious discount. Like the certified genius I am, I forgot to mention the app price at checkout and walked out about seventy bucks poorer. Nope. Not today. I marched to Customer Service ready for a quick fix. The associate helping me called someone over. The second he arrived, the vibe shifted. Instant irritation. He questioned if the price I was showing was even from Lowe's and asked if I pulled it from Home Depot. Sir. The Lowe's app is bright blue. Home Depot is pumpkin spice orange. What are we doing here. Then he told me I might be shopping in a different "virtual Lowe's" because each store can have different sales. Meanwhile, I literally just plucked the shower head off the shelf in this store. I walked him through the app step by step, scanned the product in front of him like he told me to, and the lower price still showed. And he still wouldn't help. Just dismissive energy all around. So I said, "If it's such a big deal, I'll just return it." He said it wasn't a big deal... then when the associate asked if I wanted to return it, he jumped in and said "Just return it." That was the moment Ultra Karen Mode flipped ON. I called him a dick, signed the return slip with attitude, and stormed off. My emotional support human (aka my very calm boyfriend) scooped up the receipt I almost sacrificed in my dramatic exit. A few hours later... food happened. Sanity returned. I checked the app again. Price still lower. Not online only. I couldn't schedule pickup because it was now magically "out of stock" at both stores in town. Prices everywhere else were ninety plus. Rude. The saga wasn't over. Lowe's... we ride again. I came back. Scanned again. App: lower price. Shelf: nope. Another associate confirmed I was not losing my mind and escorted me to the desk like my personal retail angel. I admitted I called the earlier guy a dick and that I absolutely become a Karen when I feel dismissed and hungry. They called in JT. The actual manager. The hero this Lowe's deserves. JT LISTENED. He apologized for the confusion. He explained the whole online vs store pricing mess like a sane human. At first, he offered the corporate number so I could go through the approval process and then come back again for the refund. I told him I would proudly be that Karen and do it if that was required. We laughed because the absurdity was now comedic. Then I asked for the name of the guy from earlier because I assumed he was a manager too. JT said he was the only manager on duty all day. Plot twist. I explained the interaction and why I was so fired up. And THAT is when JT apologized again and said he would just honor the app price right there... specifically because the earlier interaction was so unnecessarily bad. We laughed about me calling the guy a dick. I took accountability for my hangry meltdown. JT handled all of it with patience, humor, and actual customer service skills. JT is the reason this review is five stars. JT is the reason Lowe's gets any more of my money. JT is the reason my shower head now sprays justice. Give this man a raise. And a crown. Because JT is the Karen Whisperer.
