They tell me they can't do any with online orders, i have to call online order support. The shipping Company they use has to be the worst rated company in the United States," Esters Express". I was supposed to have my shipment last week I am leaving this weekend for vacation and they tell me they can't deliver till Monday this place is literally 10 minutes from my house. The reviews I've read online are all the same can't deliver, truck broke down this company has so many breakdowns of there vehicles how are they still in business there rating is zero. I called Home Depot online support and I'm told there's nothing they can do for 48 to 72 hours by then I will be gone. I don't understand this shipping company, I asked them to deliver. It is sitting in the terminal right down the road, I guess I'm not a big enough customer for them to worry about. I don't know if I'll ever do business with Home Depot again I spend a lot of money there and they just don't seem to care UPDATE: Still Disappointed by the lack of support I got from my local Home depot, But the online help has been outstanding!! ***** Stars for Daniella at Home Depot Customer Support online is the Best!! Thanks again

Today I needed some sturdy pavers and you just can't get these at the local places. I had a surprisingly decent experience at this Lowe's today- no one was around to help me but i eventually found everything I needed on my own. Just one person ahead of me to check out and the checkout was with an actual employee not a machine! Plenty of lot parking and security cameras watching over the lot.

Within an hour of getting it home, we found a large, rusted dent on the floorboard, widespread scratches/cosmetic damage, a heavily rusted blade, and grass/dirt buildup inside the deck housing. When we called the store that night, we were basically told this was "normal." The next day, a manager told us the mower "looked 2 years old." During later conversations with corporate customer care, we were then told the mower was an older model that had apparently been sitting outside for "a few years." Despite that, it was displayed and sold alongside actual new models at full price. The mower was eventually replaced and we received partial compensation after an absurd amount of back and forth, but the explanations the entire way through were inconsistent, communication was terrible, and nobody could give a straight answer as to how a mower in that condition could appropriately be sold as new. Sharing this so others know to thoroughly inspect expensive equipment before leaving the store, and perhaps take their business somewhere other than Lowe's.

I have been coming here off and on ever since I moved to Albany in 2004. After living in Menands…read morefor a couple of years, I moved to Clifton Park and forgot about this place until I moved back last summer. Some things haven't changed... their staff is still extremely friendly and knowledgeable, their prices are about the same as the big box stores, their selection is much less than big box stores (but usually that just means they carry only quality name-brand items and don't have cheaper junk stuff), and the hours are more in line with a mom and pop store. I needed some items and decided that I would try and get here on the way home from work before they closed at 6PM. I made it in time, they helped me select exactly what I needed, and I left happy. If you need 20+ items for a big construction project, lots of lumber, or various types of custom colored paint this might not be the right store. But, if you know you are up against a project you aren't familiar with and want to talk it over with someone before buying the right stuff this is a great place to come.

He made it clear he doesn't want to do the repair work that he's supposed to do when it's under warranty. The next day after dropping off the mower he called and stated there was no oil in the engine and I probably seized the engine. That is not true the mower was brand new and used only last year. The mower was stored in the basement and the gas emptied out. When I took out this year it wouldn't start. So how did the engine seize. STEER CLEAR OF THIS SEXIST MISERABLE PERSON.

Sometimes even lower. That really doesn't matter though, because the helpful service I receive here more than makes up for a few extra pennies. The staff are super friendly and have helped me with lots of projects along the way. I needed a weird part that wasn't available anywhere else and they found it for me in their storeroom and gifted it to me. I needed a certain type of paint on a holiday-eve and they spent the extra time going through their stash to find a suitable product. When the entire northeast region is out of salt and they have a shipment coming in, they were willing to make arrangements so that some was waiting for me when I showed up that evening. And when I need advice (and honestly, it seems to be always) they are a lot more reliable and useful than trying to randomly search Youtube. It is the smaller hardware stores that provide what most do it yourselfers (read: amateurs) really need: attention. Because of that, I will keep coming back to here.

I normally would not be in a hurry to write about a hardware store that is not near my house. How often would I likely be to visit it again? But this store caught my attention when I saw an ad for them on TV. They claimed that they have items not found in other stores. They also emphasized that they offer friendly and readily available service. Today, in search of a particular style cabinet knob, after nothing met my wife's satisfaction in Lowe's, Home Depot, and several other stores, we tried Chance's on our way through Latham. The first thing we noticed was a friendly greeting from an employee helping another customer in the parking lot. Walking through the store we saw everything very well organized and nicely displayed in a clean environment. Once we found what we were in search of, we met that same welcoming employee (owner?) from the parking lot on our way to the register. He was truly friendly and made the shopping experience a pleasure. The item we purchased could have been ordered for less from Lowe's, but it was not available today and we've never received such a sincere welcome in any big-box store. There is definitely truth in advertising from Chance's Hardware store.
