    New store,nice,clean,seems good. Day shift seems better then night shift. Been twice.

I get to Austin Hardware: I walk in the office area and they send me to the warehouse area. As I walk in the door, I see signs that say, "No walk-ups." "If you don't have an order, please dial 8100 and talk to a salesperson and tell them you are at the Dallas warehouse." Of course, I called the number and got a "fast busy" and finally a guy came and said he was going to get a salesperson to help me. So Tom comes out and says, "can I help you?" I tell him, "I have a step van with a tilt hood and I need the buckle that holds down the hood." *Tom's looking at me as if he's not understanding me at all.* "It's a Chevy P30 with a tilt hood?" *Still looking at me as if I'm talking a foreign language.* me: "Okay, so it's a 1996...." Tom: "I don't know what you're talking about. What do you need?" I finally figure out that this place sells just the hardware. They don't know what the hardware goes on, so of course he doesn't know what buckle goes on which car, he just knows the buckles. Me: "I have a van that has a broken buckle, it's rubber and it looks kinda like these" *pointing to a picture on the wall. Tom: "hmm.. let me bring out the catalog and you can look at those." *off he goes* He comes back and starts flipping through.. Me: "Oh, I have a picture of the buckle..." *fumbling with my iphone* Tom: "Oh, that's a (such and such) series. Let me see if we have one." *off he goes again* comes back again "the nearest one is in Elkhart, Indiana. We can have it shipped down here but it will be a couple days. Me: "Can I have it shipped to me directly?" Tom: "Sure, I just need your address and a form of payment." *off he goes once more and comes back with a receipt and we're all done. The whole experience was difficult but mainly because I didn't know what to expect but luckily, I had a picture of the part I needed and Tom knew exactly what that part was. Thanks Austin Hardware!

    My purchasing agent has been trying to contact Tom all day to get a simple answer about locks he…read moreordered. He was told they'd be here no later than 4/19. It's 4/23 and not only are the locks not here, but Tom has lost his ability to answer a phone, return a call, and the hardest task of all, reply to an email. Because Tom couldn't handle the difficult task of answering, we didn't have time to re-schedule our installers. Now all of our lockers are going to site to be installed without locks and we'll have to re-schedule our installers to make another trip to the jobsite to install the locks if they ever get here. If you like being lied to, ignored, and having costs added to your project, by all means shop here.

I purchased an appliance there 6 years ago. It went out in December of 2025. It was out of extended protection. No issue there. The part, and FULL REPLACEMENT was covered by Samsung. I just needed to provide proof of purchase. Lowes started a program called MYLOWES around 2011, that was supposed to keep ALL purchase history. There was a key fob, or a card that you scan at time of purchase, it saved all purchase history. This was explained to me, and used at the time of purchase. About 4 years ago, they updated their systems, and it no longer goes past 4 years, so I can no longer access my proof of purchase. My bigger issue, is that I have spent countless hours, multiple calls, have been lied to about them fixing my account login credentials, and have spoken to multiple customer service representatives, and ALL. of them have a "sorry about your luck" mentality. The store manager is out, I have asked to speak with a district manager for resolution, or someone that can help, and they FLAT OUT DENY ME SPEAKING with someone. Lowes advertised a program that would track my purchases, forever. Then they changed that. I am out thousands of dollars. That is false advertisement, and it seems that unless I file a small claims suit in court, there is nothing I can do. The fact that ther organization has made it a policy to keep customers from speaking with leaders in the organization who can help and offer ways to support the situation, and they keep everything in the customer service center is lunacy. They tell you tough luck, and close your issue out, and have absolutely ZERO concern for customer service. My refrigerator has been not functional for 2 months.
