This place is strange and you should avoid it. TDLR. Dirty, ring of fire, bleeding, touching other customers feet and then touching my hands, long wait times. I really debating writing this review I have actually come here a handful of times since I was a child and it's always been like this. Mind you this is spanning around a 12 year period. They were short and snappy with me this time and all of the previous times over the last ACTUAL decade. I find the results usually pretty "mid". It's generally just passable. Nothing atrocious but nothing worth raving about. Today, I came in to get some grown out Gel X nails removed. I walk in and the lady asks what I want. I tell her and she says "we have customers" and leaves me sitting waiting. Taking in other people before me and otherwise just leaving me. After about 30 minutes I decide I'm just going to leave but when I go to stand up she stops me and sits me down at the table where I wait another 15 minutes. The tech finished up with another client and started me without washing her hands or equipment after touching another woman's feet. (she goes back and forth between us a few times without cleaning hands. Touching her feet and back to my hands back and forth). I came in for a gel x removal and even after telling the tech that what she was doing was hurting she didn't stop. She used the dremel for REGULAR polish around the edges. Safe to say, I got some NASTY rings of fire and she cut me a few times. Crossing my fingers nothing gets infected. I have given this place so many chances and it has failed me every time. It cost $15 to remove my fake nails and the additional $19 for the basic nail polish. For a simple manicure the service is okay. I liked how my nails were filed to a rounded shape, but the polish was okay. The color was beautiful and I tipped. I decided to treat myself to Mother's Day nails and unfortunately was really disappointed with the results. Although the staff was very nice and welcoming, the quality of the service did not match the price I paid. When I got home, I noticed the color was not consistent across all of my nails, and just three days later, one entire nail came off. Gel was dried over my nails onto my toes... gnarly.. had to have many mistakes fixed.. A rip off. Low quality and Super Duper uncomfortable experience. Go to Brookhurst and Adam's. Much better service & quality! If you're into perfection and thorough attention to detail don't go here. the guy that works there is super duper good though! I came here on a Friday at 1pm and it was not busy, so they were able to seat me right away. I got the Deluxe Mani/Pedi package and it was exactly what I wanted. The massage was good (which isn't always the case in most nail salons). I felt super relaxed. Nails came out fine (I didn't get anything fancy done). My daughter for prom asked for ombré nails, these lumpy and dented nailed pealed off in 2 hours. I asked to speak to a manager, no one spoke English or pretended not to. She kept explaining the nails were not what she wanted. She was upset and felt taken advantage of. The quality is awful. These young girls go there to feel pretty for prom and they completely get taken advantage of. Then they charged her $120 for both nails and toes and insisted she paid. I was greeted and welcomed inside got a temperature check than I was sat on the other side of the salon in my own little space and that was great because it was hot outside. Lily did my feet and she did a great job. Denise did my nails and I love them! Tried the dip powder with extensions and I'm now hooked! From the moment I got in to this salon the people working were really rude. They were not gentle at all, and despite me telling the gal who did my pedicure that I get ingrown toe nails, she was rough, didn't do what I asked and cut me pretty bad. 24 hour later and my toe is completely infected. This lady literally filed my nails down to the skin and was peeling my skin off and literally took some of my nails off!!! I was so busy chatting with my mom that it was until a very painful file that I noticed what she was doing. I told her to stop filing and to stop peeling my skin and she kept saying it was the cuticle under my nail. I have never had a bad nail experience so I didn't want to think that she was doing it on purpose, it is in my nature to give people the benefit of the doubt but my nails hurt and I am all cut up. She butchered me, really horrible experience. I went back and got a full refund and showed the manager what happened to my nails and skin. It is sad what people will do to other people. I keep seeing iffy reviews for this place and it makes me so nervous that I might come in and get a bad job done. But this is my 4th time here and they've always done a wonderful job and I've genuinely always received impeccable service. The first 3 photos are how my nails came out today, and the last 4 is what they looked like (I had gotten them done at a place closer to my house a week ago- NEVER again). I will say the white tip was a little long, but I also have super short nail beds and didn't say anything so that's on me. After posting an initial review with 3 stars, the owner Vy reached out and offered to fix my nails free of charge. She was extremely sweet and the lady who did my nails this time made sure they were exactly how I wanted them and listened to every request no matter how small. Very detail oriented too! I kept it simple with a gel manicure this time and it is high quality and is already holding up well. I work down the street and I will definitely be back once my nails are ready for a change. I would also like to point out that there are some very loyal customers that come here that I have noticed both times and I think that says something about a business and I think the lady Who did my nails the first time may have just had an off-day. It was my first time here and it did not disappoint. I had Bryan and Vivianne working on me. Bryan did my manicure with gel and he was very thorough. He covered every bit of nail to the cuticle unlike some places that leave a gap. He took his time and was meticulous. Each nail came out absolutely identical and perfect. Vivianne did my pedicure in one of he spa chairs. She was kind, thorough, and detailed. She even carefully removed and ingrown I had without making me bleed or hurting me. She also gave me a callus treatment and made sure to get each and every one. She didn't just do a quick scrub and done. She took her time checking every now and again to make sure she removed it all. All in all. I spent $65. For mani, pedi, gel, callus treatment and short massage. $65 is including tip of $5 each. The prices are reasonable and worth every penny. Honestly, I'd say it is one of the least expensive nail salons I have had the pleasure of finding. read more

I go to happy nails every two weeks to get gel. I had the worst experience with a nail tech. It felt so rushed and she was so lazy. To begin, rather than taking my previous gels off with the solution and tin foil, she peeled them off with her fingers and that hurt very bad. I don't even peel off my own gels because it peels off layers of my nail. Next, she wouldn't even let the timer run out when my nails were under the lamp thing. All of my other nail techs will have me put them under twice every coat so that they'll stay longer. She didn't even have my nails under the whole 30 seconds! Finally, my nails are already coming off and I've had them for a few days! I didn't spend 35$ for them to not even last a week. The day I got them on, the pointer finger was peeling up. I have been to this nail salon a few times over the last five years, but in 2013 I vowed to go salon mani/pedi free, but I got a gift card for Christmas and decided to git mah nails did for NYE. Actually, I used to go to this nail salon primarily for eyebrow waxing, because they would put this metal ice thing over your eyebrows once they rip out the hair that made me feel like a boxer! haha Anyway, I popped in a week ago and wanted to get almond/stiletto acrylics with gel. They immediately sat me down with Bryan and he got to work. I was pleased to see all the great reviews and tips for him and felt confident I was in good hands (pun intended!) My nails looked AH-MAZING and I have gotten so many compliments. I probably won't keep them though, unfortunately, because I hate having to go get fills and you have no idea how many times I've had to hit the delete button to fix a typing error right now. The salon is big and clean, and fully-staffed. There are probably 8+ spa pedicure chairs, and 8 tables. They also offer waxing, facials, threading, and eyelash extensions. I also got my eyebrows waxed when I was there too, they looked good, but I noticed they didn't change out the wax paper I laid on after the previous customer, and what the heck happened to the ice thingy that I so loved (I seriously would always think of J. Lo in Enough)?! That's where I take away one star. I didn't really pay attention to the price since I had a gift card, but I remember it being a little more expensive than the hole-in-the-wall salons in the area. read more
