General Tso chicken

Solid take out spot in BA!! Where they have a dining room, as of January 2022 it was blocked off and they serving in carry-out only. While still in the midst of a pandemic it's really not a surprise. You can order ahead or walk inside and place a to go order. The man who helped me the day I went in was very friendly. Always a plus. I got a meal for 2 as that's an option on the menu and waiting around 15 minutes for it be ready. Not a big deal at all right? NOPE! We were handed fresh and yummy food and was more than enough for just me and the wifey. We really enjoyed our General Tso's chicken with fried rice, egg drop soup and a couple egg rolls. Overall good experience and we'll be sure to order from here again!

a plate of noodles and beef

food was very bland no flavor, special combination platter pepper and steak with noodles and i thought when you chose to add the mein extra you would still get the rice but ig not.

Wow. When you live in a town where Panda Express gets 4-and-a-half stars, it makes you start…read morewondering about your neighbors. I can guarantee Oriental Garden has EARNED all of the praise and accolades it has received. We were thirsty for some quality Asian cuisine and finally wanted to try something new. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and broccoli beef. The beef was the most tender I have ever had in this dish. It seemed like it had been marinating for days! Massive fresh, crisp broccoli paired well with a just-right brown sauce. Yum! Then there was the sweet and sour chicken. White meat chicken cut into just the right size. The chicken was moist and tender, and the breading was not overly sweet. As has been said here before, the portions are great. We ordered the large and had almost three servings from each dish. We may go down to the combo size next time. That was our delivery experience. I can only imagine how good Oriental Garden is as an eat-in experience. This place is a solid choice for Asian cuisine in Broken Arrow.

We ordered sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, lo mein, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and pot stickers. The fried potstickers were served first. There are no fountain drinks here, so it's bottled beverages. The potstickers were actually good. The sesame chicken was hot, but the sauce was unlike any that I've ever had and that's not a good thing. The lo mein was below average at best. The crab Rangoon were good. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like it was a marmalade. The chicken was hot, but the sauce was not complimentary. The rice was bland and undercooked as there were hard pieces of uncooked rice. Our main complaint was with the cleanliness of the tables. Ours smelled like mildew and we watched one employee clean off another table in which she used an obvious dirty rag. The Health Department should be made aware of their lack of proper hygiene regarding the cleanliness of the table. They also only give you plastic, cheap forks to eat with. In a sit down eating establishment, metal utensils should be provided. We can definitely mark this one off of our list as we will not be returning.

A lot of restaurants serve overly dry or overly wet rice, but China 1's rice is always aromatic and delicious. It is, dare I say, the perfect rice! It smells and tastes just like the rice my childhood friend's aunties used to make in their bamboo basket. :) My husband loved the Hunan Chicken so much he wanted to immediately order it again! It was under 30 minutes 'til closing, though, so we didn't do it. He's very much looking forward to trying it again soon. We've tried the sesame and lemon chicken as well, and even when delivered they're still crisp. The egg rolls were also crispy and delicious. China 1, you are doing a wonderful job. :)

I've been on the hunt for some good Chinese since moving here 7 years ago. I knew it wouldn't be an eat in experience but that was fine. I only live about 2 miles from there. I've tried probably 15 different Chinese restaurants since I moved here and this one could very well be the worst ever. I ordered the chicken fried rice with an egg roll and hot and sour soup. The egg roll wasn't bad but the rest was horrible. I'm not opposed to trying this place again with a different entree but if it's anything like the fried rice, that will be the last time.

This is your run of the mill Asian buffet and it was crowded on a Saturday night…read more I am not big on buffets and was reluctant to come here, but it was good to try regardless. I liked the Mongolian grill, which you are able to pick your veggies, meats and sauces and have someone cook it for you. It actually was quite decent and flavorful. Obviously, they use cheap meats like the beef was very chewy, but you get what you pay for. All the fried stuff was ok. I did really like the fried sweet potatoes. All the usual Chinese American dishes were meh. The soups looked questionable and there was no way I was trying the sushi, so I can't comment on that. Desserts seemed ok. There were some packaged ones like crème puffs. Really liked the watermelons though - they were sweet. I would highlight that the people who work here are friendly and pleasant, which was a big plus. So overall, I thought it was a good price $15.99 for dinner for this type of quality. Note that there's a 3.5% charge for credit cards. I honestly do think a lot of people would likely enjoy it -the number of patrons there proves that. It may not be for me, but it might be for you. Remember to tip for the workers, who are taking your plates away.

Selections are still the same, noodle and ramen bar which is not good. No chicken wings, no ice-cream and everything is just mediocre. But what do you expect when the food is Two of my favorites are the cumin beef and the fried ribs, both are packed with flavor and come with your choice of fried or white rice. I've also the braised pork which was ok, the pork was a bit tough. Ive had the spicy dumplings, which are really good. My only knock is that the one time I ordered them to go, most had broken apart by the time I got home. Still delicious, just a little disappointing presentation-wise. The green beans are an absolute must-try, and PLEASE do not sleep on the cucumber salad! It's fresh, flavorful, and easily my favorite appetizer on the menu. If you're looking for great Chinese food in Tulsa, this place absolutely deserves a spot on your list. And yes...I'll definitely be back. Just maybe not three times in the same week.

You can get all the common dishes here but you can also get some unusual dishes that are very authentic. My grandson once ordered jelly fish. You can't get that at very many local restaurants. Another thing I like is that they have a couple of large round tables with lazy Susans. Our extended family sat at one of those tables once. It was fun putting the things we wanted to share on the lazy Susan and being able to spin it around and try what we wanted. It made for fun conversation talking about the different dishes. That was when our grandson ordered jellyfish. The restaurant is fairly small but the large tables make the restaurant good for groups. I think this would be an excellent place for a Yelp event. They have a lunch menu but you have to ask for it. It includes some of the popular Asian dishes for $9:95. They have smaller portions that come with a choice of soup or egg roll. Danny and I asked to see the lunch menu, but decided to order off the main menu. We split Crispy Tofu with garlic sauce and egg rolls. I liked the presentation of the egg rolls. They were cut diagonally and arranged nicely on the plate. The tofu dish was quite tasty. Next time, I plan to get Mei Fun. I have had it here before and loved the variety of flavors. The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't wonderful. We got our food in a timely manner, but we felt rushed to order and she didn't check to see if we needed anything or refill our water glasses. Service here has been excellent in the past. I am glad we came back to Chengdu and were reminded of how much we like it. We will be back soon.
