I had very high hopes and was sorta disappointed with the size and content of the menu for brunch. It's such a popular spot so I assumed the food would be unique and exciting! Half of the brunch items were pastries, so I was kinda bummed about that. The Thai Mule I ordered was good and the Maple Donut was also decent! The food is pretty good but we had a terrible customer service experience. We went to pick up our food and my husband reached for a bag of food we thought was ours and the man at the counter slapped his arm! We were so shocked. The owner is as friendly as a badger and has the personality of a vending machine. Knowing that the Maple Garden was a to go only restaurant, I had to have a plan. You can't drive from Jenks to Broken Arrow and expect the General Tso's chicken to be eatable. It will be nothing but a soggy mess. Across Elm St., directly east of the Maple Garden is Jenks' very nice Veterans Park. The park has restrooms and covered picnic tables. A perfect place to enjoy lunch on this oddly warm November day. And that is what we did. We grabbed our sack of food and in five minutes we were enjoying lunch in Veterans Park! Since this is a to-go only restaurant, no service is expected. I will be fair, only rating the quality and taste of the food. And...It was good. I had General Tso's combo meal. It comes with a good eggroll. Crispy fried white meat chicken in an excellent, slightly tart, savory sauce. My wife went with the Chicken Lo Mein. Also, very good. The portions were large. These were the now and later sized servings of food that you expect from a Chinese restaurant. The food is much more pleasant than the experience of interacting with the owner. This is a carry-out only restaurant. I've ordered from them 3 times. My family only likes the Sweet and Sour chicken which is just batter covered fried white meat chicken and a tub of orange colored syrup sauce. Without the sauce you can only taste the grease that the chicken was fried in. I'm more of a traditional Asian food person and not a fan of the sweet taste that the Beijing Beef and Moo Shu Pork has. Maple Garden has been our designated grab-and-go Chinese place in the Jenks neighborhood area. PROS: We always order their General Tao's Chicken and their Singapore Noodles. These two are absolutely rock solid dishes! The one thing we really like is the consistency of quality. It's pretty hard to do over a five year period for any restaurants but they have managed to achieve it. Kudos!! CONS: I don't care about their beef dishes much because of the way they marinate their beef. I can't really taste the authenticity of the beef's & its texture. Maybe it's fine for some people but I would rather stick with our 2 favorites. read more

Not only do you get a great amount of food for your money, if I plan to eat at one of the two tables, you can be fortunate to be made to feel special. I don't know what it is about the woman who runs the back of the house, but I just think of her to be so very pleasant and special with how she communicates to her customers. I believe her family helps with orders and callIns. The to-go boxes, plates and bowls are not what I am use to seeing my leftovers in. They are sturdy and the lids snap on with ease. I always need half of my order to travel home with me and I never worry about spills in the bag! The gentleman is a bit curt; though a harmless fellow with business on his mind. Consistent in every way is the best way to describe my experiences. The food is enjoyed by my daughter who is a very picky eater. It's a safe bet to order fried rice no vegetables at least once a week on average. Call-in orders are 15 minutes on average. I've sat in my car, ordered and received a call when my order was ready. Currently, orders are given just inside the door at a small table, keeping all customers away from their work area and counter. read more

Some of the best takeout ever! Especially love the shrimp in garlic sauce -- lots of HUGE shrimp and a tasty sauce. Steak with mushrooms also delicious, with carrots, zucchini and onions. Horrible! If you like your sauce to be thick as molasses, and consist on mostly sugar and cornstarch then this is your place. I asked for steamed vegetables in my Hot & Spice Shrimp with the sauce on the side. He first said they can do steam veggies with sauce on side then after I got my meal said no that is only when you ordered steamed veggies. Well duh! I would expect a dish called "steamed veggies" would be steamed and with out a sauce. Did he offer to give me something else. Since my food was swimming in sauce, oh No he was even rude about it. Jenks has several great restaurants in a small footprint and Maple Garden is a great addition. I'm not sure exactly when Maple Garden came to Jenks, but it's been within the last several years. When I do Chinese food, I do it pretty simply. With that in mind, I've only had soup from this restaurant. However, both soups are terrific! The wonton soup is a thinner broth with soft, flavorful wontons. The egg drop soup is a much thicker broth that has a richer taste than the wonton soup broth. Both have the right amount of salty flavor. Likewise, both are delicious with the crispy noodles you can sprinkle into the soup. This restaurant appears to be run by a family, which is exactly the type of restaurant I want to support in Jenks. The prices are more than reasonable (I can get two soups for about $4 and meals aren't much more than that). This is definitely more of a takeout place than an eat-in restaurant. There are a couple tables, but it's a very small restaurant and you'd probably feel like everyone was listening to your conversation. Overall, I really like Maple Garden and highly recommend it. read more

I had the chop sue which I have had an impossible time finding in OK which did not include noodles, which it should not. It was divine!
