Pu Pu Platter - sampler plate of various appetizers - the perfect mini buffet

So satisfying! Great flavors. Plentiful. Friendly people. Cozy and clean. Will return to try more dishes.

This was our second year in a row ordering for Christmas dinner takeout. They are the sweetest family, and the food is delicious! They have an extensive menu, with lots of options. Our kiddo loves their Sweet and Sour Chicken, and we all love their Lo Mein. My favorite dish is the Hunan Shrimp.

Got take out from Maple Garden in Jenks, the food was fresh and hot with huge portions. I'll definitely be a regular and I am glad I finally tried this place. 100% recommend.

The owner is as friendly as a badger and has the personality of a vending machine. Knowing that the Maple Garden was a to go only restaurant, I had to have a plan. You can't drive from Jenks to Broken Arrow and expect the General Tso's chicken to be eatable. It will be nothing but a soggy mess. Across Elm St., directly east of the Maple Garden is Jenks' very nice Veterans Park. The park has restrooms and covered picnic tables. A perfect place to enjoy lunch on this oddly warm November day. And that is what we did. We grabbed our sack of food and in five minutes we were enjoying lunch in Veterans Park! Since this is a to-go only restaurant, no service is expected. I will be fair, only rating the quality and taste of the food. And...It was good. I had General Tso's combo meal. It comes with a good eggroll. Crispy fried white meat chicken in an excellent, slightly tart, savory sauce. My wife went with the Chicken Lo Mein. Also, very good. The portions were large. These were the now and later sized servings of food that you expect from a Chinese restaurant. The food is much more pleasant than the experience of interacting with the owner. My advice... call your order in and you can keep your interaction to a minimum. Like I said, there is no dinning in......Who the hell would want to.

Maple Garden has been our designated grab-and-go Chinese place in the Jenks neighborhood area. PROS: We always order their General Tao's Chicken and their Singapore Noodles. These two are absolutely rock solid dishes! The one thing we really like is the consistency of quality. It's pretty hard to do over a five year period for any restaurants but they have managed to achieve it. Kudos!! CONS: I don't care about their beef dishes much because of the way they marinate their beef. I can't really taste the authenticity of the beef's & its texture. Maybe it's fine for some people but I would rather stick with our 2 favorites.

Food was good. Honestly, pretty standard Chinese restaurant fare. No seating, so be prepared to take it and eat elsewhere. Other reviews said the guy who takes orders is rude. I don't think he's rude as much as just short and to the point sans smile. Over all I enjoyed it. Would eat here again.

Not only do you get a great amount of food for your money, if I plan to eat at one of the two tables, you can be fortunate to be made to feel special. I don't know what it is about the woman who runs the back of the house, but I just think of her to be so very pleasant and special with how she communicates to her customers. I believe her family helps with orders and callIns. The to-go boxes, plates and bowls are not what I am use to seeing my leftovers in. They are sturdy and the lids snap on with ease. I always need half of my order to travel home with me and I never worry about spills in the bag! The gentleman is a bit curt; though a harmless fellow with business on his mind. Consistent in every way is the best way to describe my experiences. The food is enjoyed by my daughter who is a very picky eater. It's a safe bet to order fried rice no vegetables at least once a week on average. Call-in orders are 15 minutes on average. I've sat in my car, ordered and received a call when my order was ready. Currently, orders are given just inside the door at a small table, keeping all customers away from their work area and counter.

Good food! But they could be a little more friendly. The guy that always takes our order talks to the costumers like a drill Sargent!

The owner may have a touch of OCD. The lady came out from behind the counter to square up the pile of menus, after I had shuffled through them. The tables and chairs are arranged and policed, to maintain perfect formation, as were the meticulously aligned condiments on the tables. As we were leaving, the owner wasted no time to correct the miss alignments we had caused at our table. Up by the door, an attractive little pond surrounded with live plants and colorful decorations. No coy fish. Instead, in the pool coins glisten. Evidence of many past wishes made. The ambiance and décor of this little Chinese restaurant feels relaxing. Maybe even a little classy. Check the pictures. And then there is the cheap ass flimsy plastic tableware, used to eat your meal out of a Styrofoam container. If you get your meals to go, you don't care. A plate with metal tableware would improve the in-restaurant dining experience logarithmically. Minimal service. Order at the counter. Fetch your drinks and flimsy plastic fork yourself. The food was excellent. We had the Hunan Chicken. Fresh vegetables, with a generous serving of flash fried chicken breast chunks, all covered in a magnificent tasty brown sauce. Yes, it was good! 5 stars if you get you food to go (you already knew you were going to have to eat with that flimsy plastic fork.) 4 stars if you eat in. Having to eat your food out of a Styrofoam container, in this nice little restaurant just doesn't feel right. One of the nicest small Chinese restaurants in the Tulsa area. This restaurant is recommended!

You can get all the common dishes here but you can also get some unusual dishes that are very authentic. My grandson once ordered jelly fish. You can't get that at very many local restaurants. Another thing I like is that they have a couple of large round tables with lazy Susans. Our extended family sat at one of those tables once. It was fun putting the things we wanted to share on the lazy Susan and being able to spin it around and try what we wanted. It made for fun conversation talking about the different dishes. That was when our grandson ordered jellyfish. The restaurant is fairly small but the large tables make the restaurant good for groups. I think this would be an excellent place for a Yelp event. They have a lunch menu but you have to ask for it. It includes some of the popular Asian dishes for $9:95. They have smaller portions that come with a choice of soup or egg roll. Danny and I asked to see the lunch menu, but decided to order off the main menu. We split Crispy Tofu with garlic sauce and egg rolls. I liked the presentation of the egg rolls. They were cut diagonally and arranged nicely on the plate. The tofu dish was quite tasty. Next time, I plan to get Mei Fun. I have had it here before and loved the variety of flavors. The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't wonderful. We got our food in a timely manner, but we felt rushed to order and she didn't check to see if we needed anything or refill our water glasses. Service here has been excellent in the past. I am glad we came back to Chengdu and were reminded of how much we like it. We will be back soon.
