We've ordered from China 1 a few times now through DoorDash, and we've had consistently good food. The rice, whether white or fried, is always delicious! A lot of restaurants serve overly dry or overly wet rice, but China 1's rice is always aromatic and delicious. It is, dare I say, the perfect rice! It smells and tastes just like the rice my childhood friend's aunties used to make in their bamboo basket. :) My husband loved the Hunan Chicken so much he wanted to immediately order it again! It was under 30 minutes 'til closing, though, so we didn't do it. He's very much looking forward to trying it again soon. If you order in their website they have special coupons you can use for your order. I was thinking of getting Panda Express but thought about trying something more authentic. Hands down, best Chinese food in all of Tulsa. We moved from NYC 13+ years ago and tried a bunch of Chinese takeout places here to find a good replacement for what used to get there. This place was the best we found, and nothing has beat it since. Very flavorful, good sized portions, plenty of protein in the meat/seafood/chicken plates, and always fresh. The establishment is clean, and you can see the cooks from behind the counter doing a clean and complete job. Owners are some of the nicest people too. I wanted to try a new Chinese place and I ended up getting take out. I didn't really know what to expect from this restaurant. First impressions: - Definitely a hole in the wall. Not really a sit in and eat but more of a take out. - The man that took my order was very pleasant and patient. - I believe that most of the food is made to order besides things like rice and soup. I waited probably 5-10 minutes (it was on a Sunday around 3) - Food was surprisingly cheap considering! I got a small order of beef & broccoli that came with white rice (I substituted for fried rice) and i also got a pint of egg drop soup (which is a "small") that came with the crispy chips. The beef & broccoli meal didn't seem like much at first glance but I got full before I could finish my rice and dive into the soup.. AND I PAYED LESS THAN $9!!! - the food reminded me of buffet style food. It was good! Especially for the price :) - my only complaint is that the fried rice didn't have the veggies or eggs that most fried rice normally has.. maybe because I substituted? - the packaging of the food was actually pretty nice too. There was a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the paper bag to prevent the food from falling over in the bag. Real unspectacular. Got the Family dinner for 2. Pork fried rice was so dry. Egg rolls hot but very greasy. Kung Po chicken, I asked for extra spicy...was not at all. The peanut sauce was so watered down, the small amounts of peanuts only indication that it was even Kung Po dish. The sweet and sour chicken was decent. The hot and sour soup was good not too spicy.. the pork fried rice was good, General Tso chicken was good as was the sweet and sour pork... This has been my only foray into Chinese food since moving to Oklahoma. It's close by where I live and they deliver, which are 2 pros right there. The delivery time is fast and the delivery drivers are nice as are the staff that take your order when you call in. I've tried a few different selections ranging from the Mongolian Beef to Sesame Chicken and while the dishes I've tried are good, but there's nothing that really makes them stand out from the crowd. The portion size is good but I'm not a big fan of the rice which is this strange orange-y color. The food was hot but the overall taste of the entrees that I have tried are kind of bland. The egg rolls are good and rather large in size as are the cream cheese wontons but I'm used to crab rangoon and the taste of the cream cheese wonton was just so-so. Over all, since this is the only Chinese restaurant I've tried since moving here, I would recommend them and will probably will order from them again. I haven't had a bad experience with them but there's really nothing that gives them that "Wow!" factor. read more

By far the best Chinese in town. LOVE the beef lomein and house fried rice. The spring rolls are also to die for! Sometimes they don't drain the grease on the egg rolls though so that's the only negative thing to say. It's also easy to order online which I love. We placed an online order for pickup. The website said it would be 15-20 min. My son in law headed off to pick it up. I received a phone call not even 10 min after ordering from China One asking if we ordered pick up. After affirming, they said "Its ready and you are not here, where are you, are you coming?" Umm...it takes us at least 10 min to drive there and it hasn't even been 20 min since the order was placed. After arrival my son called and stated he was there.(as it is pick up orders only)...then waited and waited. He called again and they told him how stupid he was as its not curbside pick up and he should have known it was waiting in a plastic tub outside their door. After arrival at home with the food, and seeing how upset he was with the horrific customer service, I called to voice my concern. The response given to me was "If you call and complain, I will call police." What??? Who does that? P.S...our order was incorrect and the food was sub par! read more

We love Chinese food so we're looking forward to trying this place for takeout on New Years Eve. We ordered enough for our family of 6 so the quantity was fine. The quality, however was spotty as we discovered after arriving home several miles away! We ordered Roast Pork Egg Rolls but got Vegetarian Spring Rolls. We also ordered Fried Dumplings which we have always enjoyed because of their crispy exteriors. These, however were apparently tossed in oil in a wok, heated up and dumped in a container, greasy, soft and inedible! We did like the appetizer Chicken Stick. They were grilled (as the Dumplings should have been after steaming!). Entrees included Roast Pork Lo Mein which was very good; well cooked noodles and adequate pieces of pork. The Sesame Chicken was also tasty. The other 3 entrees were significantly deficient. The Curry Beef had NO curry taste, the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce had NO lobster sauce, only a very thin and weak shrimp stock (with less taste than the stock I achieve at home from a couple of pounds of shrimp shells!). And while the chicken was plentiful and tender with the Sweet and Sour Chicken, there was NO sweet and sour sauce provided! As this was New Years Eve and I suspected a substitute chef was on duty, when I returned a couple of days later, I was told that was not the case. Perhaps he was "slammed" by the number of dishes we ordered or the number of customers but there is no excuse for leaving off the key ingredients for which a dish is named! When I presented my complaints in writing to the young lady at the register (there was some unfamiliarity with spoken English), I really expected a call from the owner to explain the deficiencies. China 1 is close to the house, so delivery is generally quick. Friday we ordered, for about the 6-7th time. Quick delivery as usual. However, I had barely put my plate down when my stomach began to rumble. Within 15 minutes I vomiting violently, and I've spent the remainder of the weekend either in bed or on the toilet. Its now late Sunday afternoon and I'm still running a high fever. Meanwhile, I've tried repeatedly to get in touch with manager "Amy" to no avail. Saturday I was told she would be in Sunday at noon. Now its Sunday and I'm being told she wont be in until Monday. I don't write very many reviews here or elsewhere unless I really feel compelled.
