I have some mixed feelings about my experience here. The pros: I see a difference in my hair growth and am overall pleased with the laser results. I was primarily waxing prior to starting laser, which was actually the same cost as my sessions at SEV, so laser is definitely a more cost effective options for me. The cons: you get what you get with your technician. My latest appointment, I had someone new (to me) and really liked them. However, all of my previous sessions have been with technicians who, honestly, have been quite rude. They have seemed judgmental, cold, and lofty - I don't have any other way to describe it. The front desk staff have also always seemed like they just want to churn clients in and out as fast as possible, and they also clearly just want to make as much money as possible. For instance, I checked in on Yelp and saw a pop-up about redeeming 5% on the appointment. I was just about to be taken back for the laser session, so I put my phone away and planned to redeem it at the end of the session when I was paying. Of course, the pop-up went away (just my luck...) but I figured I could just explain it to the front desk and they would understand. Nope. Without any remorse, they said I should have told them prior to the appointment. How would I have known to do that? Then, they told me that they weren't offering parking garage validations that day. The iPad was malfunctioning, so I had to wait several minutes for them to figure it out so I could pay. By the time that I finally ran back to my car, I had been parked for 33 minutes. The first 20 min in the garage are free, an extra 10 min (so 30 total) are $6, and then every half hour after that is another $4. They charged me $10. Although I've liked the results of the laser itself, I have not liked my experience at SEV and will likely be exploring other options. It's a shame, because I have recommended SEV to a handful of other people, but have had to share this experience with them, as well, and we're all going to explore other places for laser.

The website is a little confusing because you can't create a regular account to sign in and out of. At least that was my experience (there was no way to recover a password from an old email that somehow was used even though I never used it before). After all that and I was able to confirm it was a legit business over the phone, I purchased the CE for laser tech and received the information very quickly over email. Links for education videos were sent and I was able to play and replay any that I needed more time with which I liked. You also have access for a couple months afterwards which is also awesome. I wish there was a tad more information but it had the basics. Once done I emailed them again and they sent me a Cert for my CE hours. Then I just renewed online with the state I was issued in and viola.

Warning: Missing Shipment and Frustrating Customer Service…read more I've been a customer of The Medspa Austin since June of last year and have spent a total of $3,834 with them. Up until recently, I never had any issues when receiving my Trezepited shots in person. Nurse Practitioner Ashley Johnson and Dr. Paydon Newman both provided excellent care and really helped me achieve my goals--this review does not reflect on them at all. However, after switching to semiglutide, the first shipment arrived without a problem, but the second one never showed up. The UPS delivery photo was just a black screen, even though I was home all day. I filed a missing package claim with UPS and also contacted The Medspa Austin and the fulfillment company in Dallas. Everyone was polite and tried to help, but ultimately referred me back to The Medspa Austin because they needed to complete a form UPS had provided. Despite my efforts, The Medspa Austin would not replace the missing shipment, citing the "delivered" tracking information, and asked me to pay an additional $200 for a new shipment. I wasn't asking for a discount or a refund--I just wanted the shipment I had already paid for. This has been extremely frustrating, especially given the amount of money I've already spent and my previously positive experiences with their team. Until this missing shipment issue is resolved, I cannot recommend The Medspa Austin. However, I do want to emphasize that my negative experience does not reflect on Ashley Johnson or Dr. Paydon Newman, who both provided wonderful care.

Your appointments are broken up into two sessions where the first consists of a meeting with Dr. Edgerton or his NP Denise. During this visit, they go over your concerns, medical history and any and all questions that you may have. You are then provided a request for labs which consists of a complete and total panel. During your second visit, they go over your labs and from there you discuss your options for treatment. While you may find another clinic in Austin, I can promise you that you will not receive the same level of care and treatment. A word of advice, read the reviews first!
