We arrived soon after 11am on a Friday and we were seated right away. The menu offers a good variety of items at good prices. Both my husband and I ordered the same thing: the broccoli beef plate and potstickers as an appetizer. My husband also tried to order chicken strips but was told they were out. Soup was included in the meal, and it turned out to be egg drop. That was fine by me, but my husband doesn't like egg, so he didn't have his. The pot stickers soon came out. I found them to be too oily, likely taken straight from the pan to the serving platter, and only okay. About a minute later, our main dishes came out. My food had all slid to one side of the plate. The servings were quite large. The broccoli was cooked to perfection--bright green and crisp--and this is something so many restaurants cannot do well. The beef was just a generic beef, what you would expect. The rice was likewise fine, and my husband was happy that it didn't include any egg bits. We were served so quickly that we finished everything in about twenty minutes. I'm not sure if I'd go here again on a visit to my hometown; it wasn't a bad meal, but it wasn't extraordinary, either. I've been here a few times this is what I ordered last a Chicken pho and Salt and pepper calamari. The chicken pho was tasty a lot of times restaurants have this but use beef broth this one seemed like chicken broth which tasted really good to me. Has really gone downhill in just the year or so I've been exposed to this restaurant. When I first went I really enjoyed the food, particularly the Korean ribs and the salt and pepper shrimp without the shell. These last two times have been severely disappointing. I got both the shrimp and Korean ribs along with fried rice, the rice was a tad greasy and flavorless, the ribs didnt have much flavor either and certainly wasn't close to tasting like Korean bbq and the shrimp were greasier than the rice. We were just in happy eats and this is usually my favorite place in town. The girl who usually serves me for lunch is very sweet and I love her. Both times I have came in for dinner staff is very unwelcoming. Today the lady who brought out our food was very rude. When she brought it I wanted to pay and get that over with so I asked for the check to pay and she brought back ketchup confused. I then said oh no sorry I meant the check and she told our server. I then went up to pay without my tab and she rudely made a face and went and got it from the table and took our fortune cookies. After that interaction we were not asked about how everything was going or if we needed anything else at all. I finally got up to get their attention and asked for boxes for our ramen and to order some crab ragoons for family to go . Me and my husband were able to satisfy our hunger for $30 and had plenty food to spare for leftovers. What a pleasant surprise. Took my family to this restaurant not expecting anything great, I was so wrong. I guess you could say that they have a "blend" of oriental food. Japanese noodles, chow mein, and Korean short ribs to name a few. I had udon noodles, very tasty and hot. Also very filling. Wife had kalbi ribs, very good! Teriyaki chicken tastes just like the one you get from Sarku Japan at the mall. Orange chicken is good on spot but can become soggy if left in a takeout container too long. Pho is great for being around here; fresh basil, bean sprouts, citrus and jalapeño. I prefer the fried rice over the chow mein, fried rice is perfect. Chow mein could use some more flavor but overall you get a ton for the price you're paying. If you're extra hungry, try the fried fish! It does not disappoint. My wife ordered the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, which came with fried rice and soup for the side. I tried the Korean Beef which also came with a side of fried Rice and soup. Egg Drop Soup was yummy. But the Korean Beef was a little chewy and on the salty side. The owner came to check on us and asked how the food tasted. We told him everything was good except for the Korean Beef. I felt somewhat bad, but had to be honest. The owner apologized and said they can remake the Korean Beef dish or I can order something else from the menu. I was kind of surprised but ask to try their Chicken Chow Mein Noodles. All the food we order came out real fast, didn't even have to wait long at all. Talk about speedy service. All said and done, food was average but the service was excellent!!! We would go back again just because of the friendly service and how they didn't charge us for the Korean Beef Dish. Maybe they just need to add less salt or soy sauce to it. Friendly Chinese owners who look to please their patrons when it comes to dining in. They're also fluent in Cantonese & Mandarin. Solid panasian restaurant in my small hometown. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes they offer. If they put in a TV for sports channels, it would be game over because my friends and I would crush a bunch of their chicken wings (teriyaki and spicy salt are my top). Seriously get an order sometime, its the whole wing (wing tip and all) the way chicken wings are supposed to be eaten. I ate here today and wasn't impressed with the squid dish and the BBQ rib dish. He came to ask how things were and I just said "everything is good" at first. He came back to ask again before I left. I said "do you want me to be honest?" And I honestly told him that broth for the ramen is good but a little too salty. Korean bbq ribs were tough & not fresh tasting and the squid was slightly salty and overcooked. Other places would have done nothing about it but he went to go talk to the cook and apologized to me then he took those two items off the bill. What an amazing service. Their appetizers were good. I had shrimp tempura & eggplant tempura. They were cheap & tasty. I was happy they opened another Asian place in this town. I wish them the best. I took one star off because of the food but they are working at it. To sum it up: KOREAN BBQ: no where close to the taste of a legitimate Korean bbq. I think they marinate it in a made up (they think close enough) sauce but they definitely did not use the right one. The portion is big tho. I had 8 pcs of ribs but I only ate 2 of them. FRIED RICE (REG): It's alright. I like it. It definitely did not taste like other fried rice from your friendly chinese restaurant. It has the after taste of shrimp paste which I don't mind. EGG DROP SOUP: hands down It's really good! Highly recommended! GYOZA: the flavor and how it was cooked was perfect but the ponzu sauce that came with it is a bit too thick. MILK TEA: I got lychee milk tea. It's good. All of which is flavorful and well prepared. Today I went with the Seafood Ramen, Spring Rolls, and Thai Tea. Of course it was all quite delicious and I was most impressed with the Flavor of the Ramen broth and the how generous they are with the ingredients. I had quite a few shrimps in my soup!!
