This was my first visit to this super cute spot. The folks working were super friendly. I loved all the local goods and extra snacks available for purchase. The seating area was great. I almost ordered a taro bubble tea but was explaining an ube foam matcha that i love from a shop back home and they were like we can do that with the taro! I got my drink 50% sweet (a must!) and with oat milk and it was super delish. My friend and i also shared the raspberry hibiscus cruffin and it was super tasty. Would definitely come back to this shop!

Located next door to the public library. Street parking is metered but parking garage is free. This place is HUGE! You walk inside and it is a huge store with items for purchase and the counter at the end where you place your order. To the right is the dining area and there are plenty of spots to relax, visit with friends, and enjoy your coffee. I ordered the pistachio latte and a raspberry pull apart donut. Both were delicious but I wished they had steamed the milk HOTTER (it was luke warm). I got a punch card and after 8 drinks the 9th is free. Will be back and try the iced Americano next time.

Cute little cafe in University Place, conveniently located in an apartment/shopping complex. Happy Duo Cafe is a large cafe with a ton of seating- great place to take a laptop and work for a few hours. The cafe sells a lot of cute artisan items. My cappuccino was great and the cookies were from Corina Bakery.

The atmosphere is very calming. I went during a week day around 12:30pm and there were a couple study groups scattered around but overall it was quiet and inviting. I got the pistachio latte which was soooooo good! I absolutely loved it! I felt that the employees could have been more friendly/engaging with customers. I had never been in before and wanted to ask about the menu and the employees just wanted to talk amongst each other. I stayed for about an hour enjoying my coffee and needed to use the restroom. It's a rather large coffee shop so I figured they would have a restroom with stalls so multiple people could use it but it's only a single toilet and the door requires a code. Every time I tried to use the restroom, someone was in there. So I stayed an extra 20 ish minutes waiting to use the restroom. I would definitely go back though.

I had an early morning appointment out in University Place and was in such need for coffee! Decided on the Happy Duo Cafe and it was such a warm place. The lobby had cute decor with chic furniture and all these plants around the place. I spoke with the barista who let me know that they have an ongoing list that the regulars actually ask to reserve tables for social or work related needs, which I thought was unique for a coffee cafe! I went with my usual dirty chai (when im super tired !) and it was delicious. The coffee place is located within the University Place Town Center so there are two entrances you can utilize. Plenty of parking street side on Market Place or you can park below in the garage for free it seems. If im in the area again, I would love to try out one of their specialty drinks or treats!

This is our go to coffee shop whenever we go to WholeFoods. We always get the pistachio latte. The service is fantastic and the server is alway very helpful. It's a nice place to just sit back relax and enjoy your coffee. During the week the owner makes in house baos and soup. I just cannot remember on which days.

Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Super cute coffee shop with super cute trinkets, lots of plants and art. Very pretty! I had ordered a vanilla chai, the staff is used to this translating to a spiced chai with vanilla in it. My 5 year old taste buds did not agree with that and they very kindly remade my powdered vanilla chai, which I am so grateful for. They also have a lavender latte I can't wait to try!

I really enjoyed my quick stop at Happy Duo Cafe for a mid morning coffee. I ordered a 12 oz pumpkin spice latte and a 12 oz vanilla latte for my husband. I received very nice customer service with the barista who helped me and the drinks came out in a timely manner. There was various pastries, snacks and local art, etc for sale as well. The coffee was amazing and they serve Olympia Coffee if anyone is curious. It's very spacious and homey inside the cafe as well a lot of areas to sit, relax + enjoy your coffee. I definitely plan on returning. Thank you Happy Duo Cafe for some quality coffee and good customer service!

It's a nice space but my Americano was sour. I should have known better and saw that they use Olympic Coffee beans which aren't that great.

The cutting cake was so beautiful - literally the cake of my dreams and prettier than any Pinterest photo. We ordered the V GF orange cake with Bavarian cream. I ate 3 pieces the night of our wedding!!! Seriously the best cake we've ever had. We also ordered 3 sheet cakes of the regular (non vegan/gf) chocolate, white, and lemon. The cake was almost gone by the end of the night and we had multiple guests ask where it was from because of how good it was. The tasting experience was fun and the staff were very nice/helpful with recommendations and questions. Thank you Corina for my dream wedding cake

The floral arrangements and product displays were clearly designed with great care. All the items are wrapped in plastic wrap to keep them fresh. The shop is quite spacious, and the interesting paintings on the walls really leave an impression. All of this plays a huge role in building up their customer base. Service: The signage inside is clear, and everyone lines up in an orderly way. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they even asked if I wanted my bread warmed up. The order came out very fast--overall, a great service experience. Taste: I ordered two pastries: an almond croissant and a chocolate croissant. The almond croissant was packed with ingredients, with a thick, rich layer of processed almond filling in the middle. The texture was great--highly recommended! However, the chocolate croissant was a total disaster!!! My first bite was actually satisfying; the chocolate flavor and texture were rich. But on my second bite, I realized... it was underbaked. So disappointing.

My vegan friends who came to visit stopped by here twice during their time here and said it was the best vegan cake they've ever had. Spouse had a cheese cheddar scone - warm it when you get it home. I tried the vegan layered butter cream espresso cake - didn't care for it, to me it's a bit veganish - it just wasn't that good and not much espresso taste. I will make a better homemade cake to me that was a fail. Even for $12. A slice I won't eat it. I'm sure some of the others must have been better. You order, you stand and wait and still are guilted into at least a 15% tip. They don't have adequate parking and most is paid parking to run on and get a sweet treat . The pride flags - June is over - I think it might be an LGBTQ bakery, I didn't see one man working. It's larger than it appears, not for the customer area. It's clean, and the cashier is friendly enough. I disagree for having to feel I need to tip when I pay to park and walk 50 steps, and have to stand and wait for my order. I saw another poor review posted on the wall and then it was recindered (maybe after public humiliation they marked it thst way, I wasn't impressed with that it seems like bullying. My review will probably end up on the wall, but that's cool. I doubt I will be back.
