Let me be straight with you--this spot is definitely in a sketchy part of town. But if you roll up early in the morning, it's more like dodging sleepy zombies than anything else. As long as you're there before 5 p.m., it's pretty chill. I ordered an egg, cheese, and bacon croissant, and I was pleasantly surprised. The bacon wasn't that see-through, paper-thin nonsense you get at some places; it had some substance. The eggs were legit, too--cracked from real shells, not poured out of a carton, so I couldn't really complain about the quality. The croissant was super fresh, like they just made it, and that really set this breakfast sandwich apart. Honestly, it's not the healthiest meal around, but considering where you are and what's available this early, it's probably one of your better options. This is definitely a spot I'd hit up again if I needed a quick bite before heading to work on a weekend morning. Just make sure to stay alert for the usual shady cross-traffic outside. Definitely worth the stop if you're an early riser.

    So good!!

I found this donut place randomly as I was looking for a particular 'Happy Donuts' in the Bay Area but stumbled on this place who makes strawberry donuts or added real strawberries in their donuts! It's located right off the freeway and easy to find. They have their own parking, too which is great. During Covid, they only allowed 4 people at a time as the inside is not too big. They had stickers on the floor for distance. The elder owner couple are so cute and very helpful and super nice. I came here mainly for their straw donuts!! They have real strawberry filled glazed donuts and strawberry frosted donuts. They were both good as it has real strawberries in it but the strawberry frosted tastes like regular cake frosting but with bits of real strawberries. It didn't have a strong strawberry taste as the vanilla frosting taste was strong. The best which I can have all the time is their strawberry filled glaze donuts!! Their other donuts are pretty good too and prices are very decent. Their bar donuts can be filled with custard if you ask. You can preorder their donuts as well as they make what they have till they are sold out. They don't open late so it makes sense. At least, I can pay with a credit card and not cash only! They sell other things like smoothies which I have to try their taro smoothie. They sell bagel and croissant sandwiches and coffee. We will be back!! [60/100]

Friendly service, fun donuts, and a cute family who owns the business! Krispy Kreme's can't compare , support your local businesses! Bonus point: They have their own private parking lot with spots always available.

    Boxed variety.

Wow. I just can't summarize into a short review all my thoughts about this place. First, it's family owned and often you will see Don and Annie's children helping out, it's great to see the generational support take place. This is what a family business is all about! Don and Annie are so friendly and attentive to customers. Funny, sweet, just so welcoming! The donuts are AMAZING, always fresh. Never stale! I'm biased towards the pink frosting but Don uses real strawberries in these. Mouth watering thinking about it. Annie's Thai tea is great. Mine was gone before 10 minutes, whoops! And get some egg rolls togo! They're great, homemade and authentic! Stopping by in the afternoon? Pick up some chicken and wedges for a little snack. Counting down the days till I come back to the bay for these goodies!

Ube donuts -- glazed, crumb and frosted.

Went on Sunday morning to pick up some purple ube donuts, which were a favorite last time we tried this place. Unfortunately when I arrived, there were none available, and the woman at the register told me they don't have them every day. But when the man making the donuts overheard, he offered to fry some up for me if I could wait 15 minutes. These donuts were DEFINITELY worth the wait. I brought them home still hot, and they were super soft and tender. Even once they cooled they were still delicious. We also tried one blueberry donut, which tasted like sweet blueberry pancakes. On a previous visit, I tried the strawberry frosted donut made w/ real strawberry. Super friendly service and great donuts!

Dozen Mixed: super light and not too sweet!

Came here on our way to visit family, we arrived around 11:30 am and a lot of stuff was already sold out. The service was amazing all super nice and we're excited we were there for the first time. Super reasonable priced and family owned! They have another family member with another bakery in Sacramento called bad bakers that's so good as well. Must try is the Thai iced tea it's very light jasmine tea super yummy and the taro felt super fresh. MUST TRY!

Iced green Thai tea taste so delicious like jasmine mmmmmm

The lady at the counter was super nice and personable. She was easy to talk to and friendly. She asked if we wanted our treats warmed up but since I was taking mine home, she recommended to heat it up for 45 seconds at home. Thank you!! I ordered: * black sesame mochi muffin - nice chew, great sesame flavor, and not too sweet * churro mochi muffin - covered in cinnamon sugar, so good. Great texture as well. * banana bread pudding - looks so ooey and gooey! I took an edge piece because I like the chewy crispy texture. Love to return when I'm back in the area.

The bakery itself seems to mainly be a takeout spot, with minimal indoor seating which felt pretty inconvenient given the limited space for customers, however it did seem to serve more of a purpose as a waiting area anyways. The structure of the bakery leaves a bit to be desired as well, as we found the glass display cases as the only form of menu, so being in the front of the line while still deciding what to order caused some unnecessary anxiety. Regardless of those nitpicks, the baked goods themselves were pretty good! Service was instant, and all of the treats looked delicious--it was hard to choose what we wanted! Our favorites were the Thai Tea and Ube Coconut Mochi Donuts. Both had really strong flavors--the Ube in particular was very clear in comparison to most other Ube desserts in my experience. The textures of the mochi donuts were really well done too, with soft exteriors and chewy, glutinous interiors. The same can be said about the Mochi Muffins, though with crunchier parts around the edges. We found the contrast of textures to actually work really well! However, the flavors of the Muffins were lacking a bit--the Red Velvet didn't stand out much, with the frosting tasting a bit too sweet, and while the Five Spice had a really interesting flavor, it was also a bit too sweet, drowning out the more unique citrusy flavor. Overall, however, all four of the goods we had were enjoyable eats, and would definitely return some time to try out other flavors!

Just an FYI…read moreI'm a vegetarian and I'm in the process of cutting out all animal products, therefore, I'm trying out vegan spots and cook a lot of vegan food. I also ended up taking my sister so she could see what vegan food is about. 1. My sister had the breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was an absolute texture nightmare, the coconut rice was gross and mushy, the tofu was completely bland, the random spicy curry sauce was unblended & completely overpowered everything. Just really one of the worst burritos I've had in my life. She couldn't get past two bites before throwing it out. I also bit it, and I agree with everything my sister said. 2. I got the tempeh reuben sandwich and it was equally bad with bland soggy fries. It was edible and I finished half of the sandwich with a ton of hot sauce but I threw out the other half. I legitimately could not finish it. I think king oyster mushrooms would be a better substitute for the "bacon". 3. The donuts are AMAZING & deserve to stand alone. The lemon one was absolutely incredible. If I would've only purchased the donuts I would've given Donut farm 5 stars. There's a price range from $3.00, $3.50, $4.00, and $4.50. I think they're reasonable prices for how good they were. The only one that was okay was the chocolate coconut. In conclusion, the food needs a lot of work. I know this is a small business, but please taste the food that comes out . The sandwich was $18 and the burrito was $16. I never complain about the prices from small business owners because I love to support but it was expensive for the quality of food I received. The service was also okay, it felt like everyone was stressed lol, I'm not complaining bc I know we all have our days but this was my first time at Donut Farm and I wish my experience would've been more pleasant so I'd be willing to give it another chance.

Tried the char siu and ham combo banh mi ($12) and the shredded pork summer rolls ($7). Everything is vegan. First, the servings are big. And at these prices! And it's not just big but delish. Second, it's good food. Banh mi bread had a crisp crust and a satisfying chew. The fillings were generous, and flavors were well balanced. The pickles had a nice crunch, and the "meaty" parts were savory goodness. Would def get again. The summer rolls come 2 per order; using a bit of lettuce of separate them was a nice touch. Slightly preferred the savory "fish sauce" especially after I soaked the jalapeños in it. The peanut sauce was a little sweet for me so prolly would have enjoyed more with some chili sauce. The shredded pork was a fun, slightly bouncy texture. Also bought a lemongrass beef banh mi but didn't have room, so looking forward ti lunch tomorrow.

Yes, it's all vegan and yes, they've got all your sweet cravings covered. The classics are present of course, simple glazed and sprinkled little numbers that live up to the highest standards of childhood nostalgia, to more inventive flavors like matcha, blueberry, maple "bacon," or cookies and cream. Don't get me started on the apple fritters, which are the size of a dinner plate and loaded with soft, spiced apple chunks. It's hard to restrain yourself from ordering one of everything, especially because they really are cheaper by the dozen. Besides, when was the last time you had a bear claw? Or a maple bar? Or a Boston cream doughnut? Further complicating the final order is the incredibly kind owner, always at the counter, who's liable to throw in a free doughnut hole or two to reward such enthusiasm. Though it's impossible to resist the colorful magnetism of the front display, don't gloss over the other half of the shop's name. Soy-based gelato is made in house with rotating seasonal flavors, offered by the scoop or wedged into an outrageous doughnut sandwich assembly. I can only speak for the eggnog flavor which is of course long gone at this point, but I truly hope it makes an early come back. The flawlessly smooth, creamy texture is better than almost all prepacked options scooped out of a carton, and possibly one of the best in the bay. It may get overshadowed by the deep fried delights, but you won't regret topping off your treats with an extra frozen spoonful... Well, unless you've already eaten your weight in cinnamon twists. Not that I'd know anything about that.
