Let me be straight with you--this spot is definitely in a sketchy part of town. But if you roll up early in the morning, it's more like dodging sleepy zombies than anything else. As long as you're there before 5 p.m., it's pretty chill. I ordered an egg, cheese, and bacon croissant, and I was pleasantly surprised. The bacon wasn't that see-through, paper-thin nonsense you get at some places; it had some substance. The eggs were legit, too--cracked from real shells, not poured out of a carton, so I couldn't really complain about the quality. The croissant was super fresh, like they just made it, and that really set this breakfast sandwich apart. Honestly, it's not the healthiest meal around, but considering where you are and what's available this early, it's probably one of your better options. This is definitely a spot I'd hit up again if I needed a quick bite before heading to work on a weekend morning. Just make sure to stay alert for the usual shady cross-traffic outside. Definitely worth the stop if you're an early riser.

    So good!!

I found this donut place randomly as I was looking for a particular 'Happy Donuts' in the Bay Area but stumbled on this place who makes strawberry donuts or added real strawberries in their donuts! It's located right off the freeway and easy to find. They have their own parking, too which is great. During Covid, they only allowed 4 people at a time as the inside is not too big. They had stickers on the floor for distance. The elder owner couple are so cute and very helpful and super nice. I came here mainly for their straw donuts!! They have real strawberry filled glazed donuts and strawberry frosted donuts. They were both good as it has real strawberries in it but the strawberry frosted tastes like regular cake frosting but with bits of real strawberries. It didn't have a strong strawberry taste as the vanilla frosting taste was strong. The best which I can have all the time is their strawberry filled glaze donuts!! Their other donuts are pretty good too and prices are very decent. Their bar donuts can be filled with custard if you ask. You can preorder their donuts as well as they make what they have till they are sold out. They don't open late so it makes sense. At least, I can pay with a credit card and not cash only! They sell other things like smoothies which I have to try their taro smoothie. They sell bagel and croissant sandwiches and coffee. We will be back!! [60/100]

Friendly service, fun donuts, and a cute family who owns the business! Krispy Kreme's can't compare , support your local businesses! Bonus point: They have their own private parking lot with spots always available.

    Boxed variety.

Wow. I just can't summarize into a short review all my thoughts about this place. First, it's family owned and often you will see Don and Annie's children helping out, it's great to see the generational support take place. This is what a family business is all about! Don and Annie are so friendly and attentive to customers. Funny, sweet, just so welcoming! The donuts are AMAZING, always fresh. Never stale! I'm biased towards the pink frosting but Don uses real strawberries in these. Mouth watering thinking about it. Annie's Thai tea is great. Mine was gone before 10 minutes, whoops! And get some egg rolls togo! They're great, homemade and authentic! Stopping by in the afternoon? Pick up some chicken and wedges for a little snack. Counting down the days till I come back to the bay for these goodies!

Ube donuts -- glazed, crumb and frosted.

Went on Sunday morning to pick up some purple ube donuts, which were a favorite last time we tried this place. Unfortunately when I arrived, there were none available, and the woman at the register told me they don't have them every day. But when the man making the donuts overheard, he offered to fry some up for me if I could wait 15 minutes. These donuts were DEFINITELY worth the wait. I brought them home still hot, and they were super soft and tender. Even once they cooled they were still delicious. We also tried one blueberry donut, which tasted like sweet blueberry pancakes. On a previous visit, I tried the strawberry frosted donut made w/ real strawberry. Super friendly service and great donuts!

Dozen Mixed: super light and not too sweet!

Came here on our way to visit family, we arrived around 11:30 am and a lot of stuff was already sold out. The service was amazing all super nice and we're excited we were there for the first time. Super reasonable priced and family owned! They have another family member with another bakery in Sacramento called bad bakers that's so good as well. Must try is the Thai iced tea it's very light jasmine tea super yummy and the taro felt super fresh. MUST TRY!

Iced green Thai tea taste so delicious like jasmine mmmmmm

I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

I had been to the church before, but I didn't remember the massive coffee hangout there! It's so spacious and offers plenty of seating. How long has this place been here? I wish it were closer to where I live in San Jose! I could easily imagine sitting in one of the comfortable nooks, studying or grading papers. It's also a fantastic spot to meet up or chat with a group of friends. It was definitely a nice place for a date! When we walked in, there were hardly any available seats, but the line at the counter wasn't long. We found a quiet corner to sit and enjoyed our breakfast. I ordered a hot latte with maple syrup in the name, though I can't recall the exact name. It paired nicely with my pastry. The almond croissant I ordered was delectable, with just the right amount of sweetness and flakiness. My partner enjoyed his cappuccino and savory bacon croissant. We walked up two steps to the restroom and were surprised to find more seats and tables. I wish I had noticed that area when I was looking for a place to sit. Oh well, it was comfortable where we were. The girls should have more playdates with their cousins so we can come here more often. I got a "spend $6, get $3 off" promo in my app since it had been a while, and it lured me right through the door. My goal was to stay as close to that $6 mark as possible to practically get a freebie. I originally ordered a large drink and a pastry, but when the total hit $12, I had the barista knock the drink down to a medium to save a few bucks. After the discount, I walked out spending $8. Sneaky marketing--they got me to spend money I hadn't planned on! For my order, I tried the Iced Lavender Vanilla Matcha. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the spot, so I only drank about half of it. I also grabbed a Lemon Blueberry Danish. Now, I have a personal rule about "open-air" pastry cases--if food is sitting out all day, it's an open invitation for gnats or flies to dance all over it! Usually, I prefer when they pull a fresh one from the back wrap counter. When I noticed the barista pull mine straight from the display, I asked her about it. She was sweet and assured me everything was fresh and they didn't have a gnat problem right now, so I decided to take a chance since she was warming it up. Sadly, the danish wasn't very delicious either, and I only ate a few bites. Even though the food and drink were a miss for me today, I still love coming into this Peet's. The atmosphere is always so incredibly calm and peaceful, and the baristas are always so friendly, upbeat, and polite.
