Happy Cones - two ice cream cones on a wooden table - Food Trucks Near Me - Edgewater, Colorado

I grabbed a small mixed berry scoop on a sugar cone after coveting this ice cream for literal months today and it really hit the spot. After making my rounds in the market I stopped in for dessert. I carried my cone out to the picnic table and sat down to enjoy my scoop of happiness before hopping on my bike for my return trip home. I'm so glad I did. The mixed berries did not disappoint. Tiny bits of frozen fruity deliciousness on top of a fresh and crunchy cone in 75 and sunny weather... the perfect ending to my day and my excursion. I left happy, satisfied and honestly I would've been happy to eat another scoop, or three. Looking forward to more ice cream adventures in the warm days of summer to come. read more

Such a fan of happy cones! We came here for my birthday and got a free scoop of ice cream which was really sweet. We enjoyed both the frozen yogurt options with fresh fruit and their more traditional scoop ice cream. The hokey pokey is definitely our favorite flavor with its sweetness and crunch. Don't forget to get it topped with happy dust! read more

Happy Cones - Mixed Berry New Zealand Icecream!! - Food Trucks Near Me - Edgewater, Colorado

Happy Cones for happy days! I wish that Happy Cones had a storefront for their amazing ice cream. Who knew ice cream from a food truck could be so great! Basically, this is New Zealand style real fruit ice cream. In goes 2/3 of sweet cream ice cream and 1/3 fruit into a magical machine, and poof - delicious, thick, creamy ice cream that looks like it belongs in a fairytale! I got the pina strawberry, which was super yummy. There were little chunks of fruit all over, and best of all, it didn't melt that easily, even in the middle of summer. They offer a few different fruity flavors, and also have a vegan gelato option. Aside from the real fruit ice cream, they also offer scooped ice cream, and have different cone options. Gonna have to hunt down the truck again soon. Check out their website for their schedule to see where they are going to be next! read more

Came to try the sweet-cream New Zealand style ice cream, and was NOT disappointed! Came here for a little after-dinner treat, and BOY does this place hit the spot! They have three different flavors of fresh fruit that get mixed into the delicious sweet cream ice cream - strawberry, strawberry-banana, and mixed berry. I tried the mixed berry, and ohhhh my goodness do you have to try this stuff! It's sweet and fresh at the same time, the perfect summer treat! The chunks of fruit really shine through and are a perfectly refreshing end to any summer night! And of course you get to hang out in the awesome Edgewater Market space - get a bite to eat a dinner here beforehand! Try this place next chance you get! read more

You have to try this ice cream. This ice cream is so so good, especially the fruit ice cream because they use vanilla ice cream & add real strawberries + bananas to make it taste so fresh a creamy. They even give doggy ice cream cups which is the cutest! Go try this ice cream shop at Edgewater public market. you can grab a drink or bite to eat first or after your ice cream..no judgement. read more

We went out on a limb and tried the milkshakes. We basically got cold chocolate milk, super thin, no ice cream consistency, it's disappointing at $10 a pop. read more

So, we met Hap at a First Friday and started stopping by whenever he was where we were. I love the vanilla with pineapple! We started talking and found that he does private events. Fast forward a bit and we're looking for a few food trucks for a graduation party and decided that one should be a dessert truck. We got in touch with Hap and booked him. His rates were very reasonable and his service was excellent! He stayed for the whole party dishing that fabulous ice cream and stories - talking with the students and guests; encouraging folks to travel and see the world (I won't steal his thunder - get the book). Stop by and see Hap or one of his crew if you're nearby. If you're looking for a great food truck for an event that will please everyone at your event you should get in touch with Hap and have him over. He's great and ice cream is fantastic! read more

All you need to know is to order the salted caramel oreo ice cream. Yes, I know they are known for their New Zealand style ice cream, but I don't care. The salted caramel oreo is what you need to try when you visit, it will change your life! They are set up well for a social distancing world, with clearly marked spaces on the ground to stand in order to leave distance between customers. They have hand sanitizer available after you pay as well. There are lots of changing flavors available, and everyone will find something they enjoy. Friendly staff, delicious ice cream, safe health practices during a pandemic, what more could you want? read more

The Brown Sugar Chai is sooo good! Their ice cream is tasty, creamy, and has unique flavors!

The ice cream was really good! 5/5 Unfortunately the service was not so great. I was served from the food truck and I was super excited, but the person working barely spoke to me and gave me odd looks. He was not helpful at all. I felt very uncomfortable to ask for suggestions on what to order. I was about to ask if there was something wrong, but decided to let it go. Really odd service, considering you are serving ice cream- a happy and joyous food. Anyway, I will give them a second chance in the future. Maybe I caught him on an off day, which happens to everyone! read more

Hap puts the happy in Happy Cones... sounds like the beginning of a lovely New Zealand nursery rhyme, right?!? I've never tried New Zealand ice cream before and I'm so glad I had my first experience here! The owner is such a nice and friendly guy! My hubby and I stopped here for dessert after our amazing lunch at the Edgewater public market. I told him we should split a cone because I'm not a fan of ice cream on a cold day but I ended up eating most of it myself because it was so damn good. Creamy ice cream with fresh fruit and it was so cool to watch him make it, glad he didn't mind my videos and photos. This was definitely the cherry on top of an all around amazing lunch date! Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. read more

Ungodly slow to the point of disconnect. Huge queue of people and staff just ambling around doing menial tasks and idly chatting.

Happy Cones has quickly become my favorite ice cream in Denver. It's super creamy with amazing flavor combos. The signature Hokey Pokey is super tasty having a honey comb toffee mixed in with the same dusting the top. OMG! Beyond that they have other marvelous flavors like Salted Caramel Oreo. I'm fairly certain they make their own "oreo" for this one. It rocks and I think I may have to drive over for one right now... bye! read more

Amazing service, unfortunately can't say the same about the New Zealand style ice cream, I guess there's a reason you don't see it in the states. Kinda tasted like a bland extra chunky smoothie in soft serve form. Might have been the first time I've ever thrown away an ice cream cone. My girlfriend did enjoy her vegan gelato. read more

I moved from San Francisco (yeah, I know, unpopular thing to admit to- whatever) where I had access to (and took advantage of) a metric sh-t ton of great options re: ice cream, so I feel like I can speak with some authority here when I say the hokey pokey is my favorite ice cream quite possibly ever. Consistency? Perfect. Taste? Outrageous (there is no such thing as too much happy dust). Friendly peeps behind the counter? Yup. Clean? Always. Happy Cones.. I love you. read more

The ice cream is really delicious but the service was very disappointing. We came into the place closer to closing time and we kindly asked if they were still open, we got a thumbs up. I asked to taste 2 flavors for myself and then lastly 1 for my daughter. As I was asking if my daughter can taste the last one, one of the ladies (blonde-ish hair ) made a rude face. Not sure if there was a limit on the amount of ice cream to taste, but 3 felt a lot for her. After paying, I can sense sarcasm on "have a goodnight guys". We would have been okay if they had told us they were closed. Not a great way to end our night.I did not have a "Happy Cone." read more

We had the vanilla ice cream and honey lavender ice cream. Nothing special about the vanilla. The honey lavender lacked the lavender flavor. However, I really should have tried what they are known for, fruit infused soft serve ice cream. I am looking forward to trying that and will update my review then. read more

You know those places your friends tell you about where they had the best ice cream they've ever had? This is one of those places. Be not afraid of a style of ice cream you've heard of because New Zealand style ice cream is fantastic! Light and sweet (and fruity: you have to start with their fruit styles which they are known for!). Ordering strawberry or mixed berry sounds lame at any other shop, but at Happy Cones they are amazing! The place is quick, the people are nice, and the prices are worth it. And they have pints-to-go (and deals on them too sometimes) to keep the freezer at home Happy. A trip to the Edgewater Public Market without Happy Cones is not a complete trip! read more

The service was terrible with rude, unhelpful staff. Overhyped ice cream not worth the price

You think you've had good ice-cream until you come across this little gold mine. Every inch of this establishment screams happiness, from the staff to the impeccable selection of ice cream.(my favorite is the Hokey Pokey). Hope you found this review helpful and take it from me, you'll want to stop by for a scoop or six. I promise, it won't be the last! read more
